June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

Natty I feel miles better for having a whinge ;)

I don't do it often!

And thanks for that Bumper, that cheered me up actually!

LackaDAISYcal · 24/07/2009 21:30

crap fury; like Natty says, sometimes it seems like it never rains but it pours.

Do you and DH not work for the same people? or was that before?

can you remind me of your email address; I lost my address book when my pooter crashed a while back.

Well, the best laid plans and all that......went to M&S yesterday and got a dine in deal for me and DH tonight. Got the stuff in the oven and then all the kids to bed, did a bit of housework (yes really!) then served up our lovely meal (the acacia glazed gammon with added baby onions from our garden, with the ceasar veg and home made herby wedges followed by sicilian lemon cheesecake for them and raspberry panacotta for me) and we were having a nice chat when DS1 appeared. But, he got a mini plate of food and sat and joined us and chatted away about his week and it was a really nice thing, not the usual nonsense. We all then had pudding and we had coffee and he had a hot chocolate. He has gone to bed happy as he has been let into the inner sanctum of adulthood. He'll be expecting this sort of treatment every night though

MakkaPakkasWilly · 24/07/2009 21:35

Hey Daisy

Yes we work for the same people - but different departments. Also I am a permy and he has a fixed term contract for 2 years so is less secure than me.

You can find my email address on FB, or just message me via FB.
I'll investigate first thing in the morning.

It's very easy to get ripped off when it comes to domain names so I'll have a wee peek and make sure they're not pulling a fast one!

I am off to bed - had a long day, not sleeping well these days. Night all!

TheNatty · 24/07/2009 21:40

aww daisy thats really nice

ValDerRia · 24/07/2009 22:20

daisy. Those are the times to treasure.

well, I have been seriously fucked off tody, having spent yet another day doing everthing on my own. I am knackered beyond belief tonight, and I really do feel like I've ironed every single item of clothing we own. In the morning I still have to pack, and we need to hoover (it's a bugger having my Dad feed the cat. Things have to be immaculate just in case DM comes with him!)

really sorry you are having a crap time fury, hope you get a decent sleep tonight.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 25/07/2009 15:06

Emergency plumber is on his way.

Am tired.

What happened to DS? Last 2 days he has been LOUD and HYPER and WILL NOT SLEEP or SHUT THE HELL UP

TheNatty · 25/07/2009 16:10

i swapped him with thomas mpw....

TheNatty · 25/07/2009 19:39
LackaDAISYcal · 25/07/2009 20:06

been busy and feeling like shoite here Natty. Choked with the cold with a stonking headache and diahorrea....but I'm sure it isn't the dreaded swine flu as I don't have a cough or anything else. Bit of a temp earlier but it's gone now.

Spent two hours in a soft play centre at a birthday party as well, which was really enjoyable...NOT.

DS1's curls have all gone . Had him sheared this afternoon as I was sick of the fight to get it washed/combed/dried and his scalp is all scurfy from him not rinsing it properly. So, short back and sides and a bottle of vosene (now there's a smell straight out of my childhood) and he should be looking a lot less scabby soon!! He looks soooooo grown up though . I managed to swipe a curl beofre it all got swept away though!

What's up with the plumbing MPW? and when will it get sorted?

No need for pregnancy test here! Why is it that I am an evil bitch mum from hell for the two days prior to my period every month, yet it still takes me by surprise every fecking month.....come on and then think "oh, yeah, that'll be why I've been an evil bitch"

off to make myself feel better with crisps and chocolate....then a hot toddy and bed.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 25/07/2009 20:58

Daisy our boiler died. No hot water here for the last couple of days, it needs parts that can't be delivered until Monday, grrrrrr

MakkaPakkasWilly · 25/07/2009 20:59

oops posted before I was ready

Daisy go to bed and get some kip, you need a rest!

justbeme · 25/07/2009 23:09

Havent been on for a while and looks like you're all having a Rl or gone to bed!!

Now who is MakkaPakkas' willy??? mmmmm - My guess before looking is Fury??

Am going to have to have a clear out - have bought more plastic tat today from a boot sale - I can't resist a bargain though!!
Got a Fisher Price Garage for £1 and tons of Happy Land/St stuff for £8 (train track, road tack, farm, vehicles, people etc) Think I'll have fun putting it all together and L will just have fun demolishing it though!!

Are you good people all ok??

justbeme · 25/07/2009 23:20

I was right wasnt I!!
Sorry to hear about your crappy stuff though Makka. Im sure it'll all turn out ok in the end - it always seems to for you.

Right well as no one is around , I bid you all goodnight xx

LittleMissNorty · 26/07/2009 19:46

No-one here still? Blimey, not even worth lurking.

LackaDAISYcal · 26/07/2009 19:58

I'm here....feeling like a big pile of poo. the screen keeps making me feel dizzy!

LittleMissNorty · 26/07/2009 21:24

Oh Daisy ...have you got SF?

DH and I just tried to watch Red Riding from yonks ago....neither of us could work out wtf was going on so we deleted it and retired to our computers

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/07/2009 22:00

I am home but up to my eyes in photos. I took about 450 yesterday, which need reviewing, adjusting where necessary and converting to jpg format for printing! Was a good day though, hard work but I enjoyed myself. Jamlet wasn't the world's best bridesmaid - she cried too much to stay through the service, she wouldn't go onto the posed photos with the other bridesmaids and I forgot to give her her horseshoe to give to the bride until well into the afternoon , but she looked cute and everyone loved her

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 26/07/2009 22:00

no, just a nasty cold I think....although I had diahorrea and have a stinking sinus headache and my lungs ache (although no cough)

We've all had something of varying degrees; DH, DS1 and DS2 coughing, me and DD with the runs....hoefully it'll be out of our systems before our holiday next week.

LittleMissNorty · 26/07/2009 22:10

Glad it went well Jammy . My neicce was a bridesmaid at my wedding and was about the age of our DDs and she was the same and the only time she's in any of the photo's, she's buggering off out of the shot!

How do you all deal with discipline and getting them to understand what they're doing it naughty / stupid / bloody dangerous / not allowed. We have tried a variety of methods but DD usually looks at me and smirks , just goes back and does it again or just says no with a look of "don't give a fuck".

Hope you're ok Daisy. Have you got a temp - official SF is a temp plus 2 other symptoms, which include cough and diarrhoea, runny nose and headaches.

Where are you off on your hols?

LackaDAISYcal · 26/07/2009 22:20

oh, I hadn't refreshed jammy so missed you.

glad you had a nice time, but sorry for jamlet's camera shyness, DD would be a nightmare doing that as she has gone all shy all of a sudden and hides behind my legs whenever anyone so much as looks at her in the street.

None of us have had much of a temp Norty; just skimming 38 really, although I have been feeling a bit clammy the last couple of days, and bumble has been off colour all day. Don't want to get a (mis)diagnosis of SF and then bugger our chances of getting tamiflu later when we really need it!!

We're off the the Norfolk Braods for two weeks......am soooooo looking forward to the R and R.

LittleMissNorty · 26/07/2009 22:23

sounds lovely. We're not doing hols this year but plan to do the West coast of Scotland next year

At the rate were going, by the time you come back we'll be on the same thread....if there is anyone left!

LackaDAISYcal · 26/07/2009 22:35

I know, where is everyone?

I read somewhere that the natural life span of a PN thread was about two years....

at least we can keep up on facebook!

We are hoping to go to Scotland next year as well, but DH is already muttering about the midges!!

TheNatty · 26/07/2009 22:56

my computer had a funny half hour and was refusing to turn on the wireless

thought i was going to have to live without MN for a few days..
dh fixed it, there is a button on my keyboard that turns it off apparently..
its very depressing that i used to know everything about computers, three kids later im being baffled by wireless buttons.

bad few days, MIL dumped her son (BIL) on us AGAIN yesterday we had him till 7pm today AND we had to travel to brixton by public transport to drop him home. grrr
and charlie was feeding all night again.

ellen has been having nightmares about dinosaurs for three days now. what do you guys think about taking her to natural history museum to show her they are ok really?? or will that scare he shitless?

hope things are a bit better today MPW

sorry your still feeling poor daisy

hello JBM

hey norty

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/07/2009 22:58

Jamlet's problem yesterday was that she was tired and just wanted cuddles from me, but I was busy taking photos so couldn't give them to her, so she was howling I felt bad but DH just took her away as when she couldn't see me she was fine. But when he brought her back to appear on some of the photos she saw me and started howling again and just would not stand with the group. But I got some more informal shots of her so not all is bad. When I've done some of the processing work I will put some pics on FB.

Hope you have a great time on the Broads Daisy. We won't be able to get up to Norfolk then, so won't see you (again) And hope you are all feeling better in time for hols.
