June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

TheNatty · 22/07/2009 21:13

sorry ria i have NO idea what that means

im afraid that wine was rather too yummy, ive had most of it to myself feeling the effects of it now tho!
the curry was super nice as well.

im going to have an early night (well 10pm) charlie had a full feed AND a 5oz bottle of ebm, so he is zonked till at least midnight. might as well get a few extra hours in.

thanks again guys, love ya!

LittleMissNorty · 22/07/2009 21:25

Glad you enjoyed it Natty

I've spent the day at Hornimans gardens today visiting friends....last time I was there was on a June 7 meet-up

Traffic in South London was bloody awful....had forgotten what it was like...and those bastard buses!!!

DCs had a fab time and were as good as gold

Arse about the car Daisy - and Fury.

ValDerRia · 22/07/2009 21:31

sorry fury, missed your news for you.

glad you had a good night natty, but (IMO re my DH at least) if he's in too much pain to do stuff round the house, then he's in too much pain for anything else too

DH son texted tonight (frst since probably xmas, though I don't remember a "thanks for my presents" text then either) and it's pissed me off. Hence my thoughts on NS!

ValDerRia · 23/07/2009 11:24

my godson is being treated for swine flu

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/07/2009 12:01

Ria.

And Fury, I also missed the bit about your car. for you.

Ria

I'm trying to spend DDs nursery day sorting out kids clothes. DS has gone up another size and has hardly anything to wear. I got what I thought was loads in the Next sale, but at the rate he pukes, they don't last long! And having one of each, there is nothing apart from a few stained sleeveless vests that I can pass down to him! He's already sleeping in a pink sleeping bag and eating out of pink bowls, but that would be going TOO far.

Bugger, he's awake. This nap is supposed to be the long one....why didn't anyone tell him that

Its SO muggy here.

Where is everyone?

ValDerRia · 23/07/2009 15:57

pah to shorts naps (although pah to long ones too - DH went back to bed at 10am for "half an hour" and got up just before my tutorial at 2pm)

So, I have been fuming all morning, hanging out washing, tidying, trying to be nice to the kids, cramming in 2 weeks worth of studying into an hour, then since then I've spent an hour tidying out the toy-dumping-ground that is the playpen. All is now tidy int he living room, just a tiny bit of dusting to finish (when DH isn't looking cos I'm moving some of his stuff!) and the hoovering. Another room down. DH can wash the floors when we're away.

DS2, bless him, dried up this morning and then dusted the bookcase where rthe kids books are, and put them all back in a nice straight line. DS1 is driving me mad, he is wandering about being gormless and avoiding tidying his room.

TheNatty · 23/07/2009 16:19

oh ria its so annoying when DH/DP's do that. mine is famous for it.

we had a massive row this morninng apparently "all i have done for the last 2 weeks is feed the baby and sleep"
oh and its so unfair that he has cooked every day for the last few weeks (i have cooked at least twice)

so how has the washing been done? and the bathroom? and the kids room? granted i have not touched the kitchen for since charlie was born, but come on!

i seriously think he thinks this house is self cleaning

ValDerRia · 23/07/2009 16:21

phew, godson no longer being treated for swine flu. He was given ABs over the phone for tonsilitis, and the tamiflu as a precaution, but he has thrown up, slept overnight and is fine today, so fried is only giving the ABs unless he gets worse again. A relief as his DB would probably bu high-risk

ValDerRia · 23/07/2009 16:27

Natty, I should hope all you have done is sleep and feed the baby. Important IMO.

I don't like moaning about my DH, but he really is being an arse ATM. Hopefully I am going out with dsis tomorrow, so he can do what he likes! Am really thinking of not going away until Monday though, there's a lot I would like to do before I go and it's not going to happen.

I am also getting about the money he is owed from work. I don't know what else he can do to get it, but he seems to have given up since they arranged to meet with him last week then they were out when he went at the agreed time

think I am maybe a bit bad tempered ATM

TheNatty · 23/07/2009 16:31

oh good ria about ur godson.

idont like moaning about him, and i hate fighting but he is being a total wanker. (oh er!)
i wouldnt mind if i HAD done nothing, but even with awful stitches and pumping on one side for the best part of one of those 2 weeks, i have STILL done the washing and cleaning.
litrally all he has done is the kitchen (cooking and cleaing) and tidy the living room a bit

poor him

i bet when he has his op, he will be in bed at least a week.

men

ValDerRia · 23/07/2009 16:54

I'll have to be careful or this will turn into a full-on rant, but it's always me that breaks off what I'm doing to feed the kids/bath the kids/hang out the washing etc. I know it isn't his fault he's in so much pain, but I think maybe he needs to get a grip just a little

of course, now I've been mean about him he'll probably be really nice tomorrow

TheNatty · 23/07/2009 17:36

oh ria i could have written that about my DH.. always me that has to stop what im doing

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/07/2009 17:47

I had an argument with DH this morning and visited a friend who was moaning about her DP. All about what they do/don't do re housework etc. Must be the day for it!

Cuddled my friend's 14 week DS this afternoon. First time I'd seen him. He is huge and very active and strong. Jamlet got jealous though!

Other friends (she is 8months pg, so another littlie to hold soon ) coming for tea tonight (Indian take away ) and then off to Norwich tomorrow for DNiece's wedding on Saturday. So if I don't get back, have nice weekends everyone!

aww jammy sounds like u have a good time planned

me and dh argued all day, about everything.

his morphine patches ran out today i wonder if that has anything to do with it

MakkaPakkasWilly · 23/07/2009 21:09

Just shoot me

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2009 21:56

I'm around; just diffiuclt to post with DD charging around getting into everything and bumble pulling to toy box over on his head every half and hour.

been busy running around and sorting stuff out as well, so no time to post.

I have had a fucking awful day as well, so have been lurking on all the juicy gossip threads all day as well.

Sorry for arsey DHs and yay for weekends away. It's only a week until my hols....yay

TheNatty · 23/07/2009 21:57

gosh MPW what on earth for? its not that small dont listen to that nasty upsy daisy (shes a bit of a slag anyway..)

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2009 22:08

PMSL Natty . I just saw the "nasty - daisy" in your post and was wondering "What have I done?"

TheNatty · 23/07/2009 22:17

lol daisy.
BF going fantastically now, cheers for all your help, i was close to giving up x

LittleMissNorty · 23/07/2009 22:26

You done that pg test Daisy?

Sorry you've had a shitty day

I've been looking at some of the gossip threads today as well - moldie stuff STILL going on!

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2009 22:38

Nah, Norty, after discussing with DH when it was we actually last had sex and it was before my last period. So not bothering. I think boobs are sore because bumble is puching against the sofa with his feet when feeding and obviously tweaking things a bit

I'm glad things have settled down Natty . You're over the worst of the pain, but beware that ole 3 week growth spurt/hormonal dip is just around the corner.

PS can I use you as a case study for my BFC course?

TheNatty · 23/07/2009 22:47

of course you can!
yeah going thru that early i think, he is feeding like a maniac last 3 days, im actually running out in the evenings completly, and having to pace with him for half hour and drink pints of water to get some more produced. thinkim doing the right thing there, im guessing really lol!!
tonight was prepared for it i expressed this morning when i always have more then i need, so he has just had an extra 4 oz as my boobs were empty again.

hoping supply picks up this is knackering.
oh and def hormonal, poor dh getting shouted at all the time

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/07/2009 22:49

Glad feeding going well Natty

Sorry for shitty days

My friend who was round with her DH for curry tonight is 37 weeks, but might be having c-section next week. Apparently baby is in awkward breech position and they don't think they can turn it, so are planning a section. She goes in on Monday to arrange the date. We sent them home with a moses basket on loan and a stack of DVDs for her to watch while feeding Made me think of all the hours I sat on the sofa with Jamlet. I'm sure she had a pavlovian style response to the sound of the "Poirot" or "Bleak House" theme music

And we've been given a toddler bed for Jamlet. A friend's DD has just outgrown it and offered it to us. She brought it round tonight so I gave her a bottle of wine for her trouble. Actually we were given Jamlet's highchair and paid with a bottle of wine, bit of a them going on...
