Hi all
Been lurking with not much chance to post.
lacks well done on the sports day race. It was our school sports day yesterday too, but they ran out of time to do the parents' races. (shame )
winogal welcome, and if its any consolation my hair is still falling out all over the place too.
coolkat hope Becca's feeling better tonight.
ceebee that does sound as though if you're going to be laid up, it might as well be in style!
tegan hope you're sorting your clothes crisis out for the wedding!

Is anyone else's LO doing that awful screeching sound??! M loves screeching like mad, although he is happy when he does it. Driving me mad though! Oh, and he has learnt to sit up this week (proud)

For those of you with older ones - how do you feel about the school hols lurking?
I am a mixture of loving them at home and no stress of getting out the door, but slightly daunted at the thought of 6 weeks and M in tow which obviously complicates things. Thinking back to last year, we just grabbed stuff and ran out the house whenever we came up with a good idea. I fear more planning is needed this year!!

AFingerofFudge · 10/07/2009 23:16

oops sorry yorky wanted to say that could it be that now that she is more aware of you being around, she is learning to "demand" you are there when she wants. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's a natural progression into realizing you are a separate person to her, and that whole thing of being able to make a fuss until you appear. It's flattering to be wanted, but it can also be a PITA. I wouldn't hurry though into moving her because of it unless you feel she is being disturbed. In which case you could do a "trial" of her in her own room, if it doesn't get any better then you can move her back, unless you get used to it that is!!!! You do have to think of the other side of going in and picking her up, rod for your own back etc (i'm sure you've thought of this). Anyway, the old saying "this too will pass" - they are just getting into that loving their mummies stage and wanting them around all the time. While it is a pain at times, it is treasure times that don't last, having all those cuddles.

Right, will stop rambling. DH is on the running machine, so can't go to bed while the house is shaking, will be all virtuous and do the washing up

tegan · 11/07/2009 07:36

Hi all

I must try harder to keep up with you lot.

O still hasno teeth, isn't crawling not even on all fours, sits for a few minutes then topples.

Will definately catch up tonight as dh is out for a 2nd stag do, wedding next week

LackaDAISYcal · 11/07/2009 11:57

yorky, bumble was being a nightmare to settle as well for a bit and wanted me all the time as well. He is getting a bit better again though so I put it down to a bit of separation anxiety. They're at the right age for it.

sorry about your argument with DH . Sounds like he was thinking of a bit of how's your father (in his drunken, deluded state ) and was annoyed that it wasn't happening. I hope things are OK this morning.

My DH has taken up residence on the sofa again.....bumble was up and crying every half hour all night last night again. He seems to have the most horrendous, painful wind and I can't think what's causing it.

Part of me is annoyed that DH is getting a decent sleep, but a (bigger) part of me is glad that it circumvents any awkward situations . Still after me taking bumble downstairs at 5.30 this morning, he then let me sleep in until 10!!!! I'm getting worried about what sort of thanks he'll be looking for though

sorry, quick one; bust day ahead and I'm still in my jammies.

LackaDAISYcal · 11/07/2009 12:00

fudge, I'm bloody dreading the school holidays if I'm being brutally honest.

But...we are away for the middle two weeks so that will break things up nicely I hope. Am desperately trying to arrange play dates for DS1 so he is out of my hair. Flipside of that is for every day he is at a mates, we need to reciprocate......

right, stinky bums to attend to......later xx

LackaDAISYcal · 11/07/2009 13:49

arse, I've got mastitis

boob been a bit sore for a day or two and I thought it was thrush, but I've got a roadmap of the british isles on my boob and it's burning and I feel like shite.

Had a complete wobbly at DH earlier.....his idea of me getting a break was for me to go and do the food shopping on my own . What is it with men....he gets to go fishing, I get fecking Tesco . Needless to say he has gone to do the shopping!!

coolkat · 11/07/2009 14:46

When he gets back Daisy request time out in the bath with hot flannel on boobie.

Fudge sorry about your argument last night, must have been the night for it as here we had a right hum dinger. I am tired as Becca is really unsettled he gets home from work and starts demanding I call up about the breakdown cover thats due for renewal in August, er no how about you phone up its 9 fucking 30 Becca still screaming at me I have the worlds longest period and since I started taking the pill I have to say I feel a bit down. Tried feeding her last nght and she was sucking and sucking then screaming as nothing there so in the end I gave her a bottle and that helped a bit. It appears that my boobies seem to think they are giving up

Daisy my DH has had to sleep downstairs last 3 nights due to Becca, prefer sleeping with her anyway!!

Right just done ironing whilst Becca asleep now I need to polish. fun fun fun

Rosa · 11/07/2009 14:59

Ok so i missed teh UK summer then ? Am in Cornwall and its tipping it down here !!!!
Journey went ok and whatever minirosa had it has gone now. DD1 happy to be here and finding her toys again . Minirosa ok but having mega gagging over food I will do a post on it as it is strange she was on mashed rather than puree. Oh and she also does thiese screams as well but on taking in breath so they sound very funny!
Good news on tne op ceebee and total bugger on the mastitis Daisy - Hope you can get rid of it soon - and also that bumble gets better.
Coolcat hope Becca doesn't need anitbiotics positive vibes she shakes it off soon.
Right off to do some ironing me thinks as its all hands on deck here !

juanitad · 11/07/2009 20:21

Quick question to all the the City Jogger Mini (is that right?) ladies. I am v tempted to get one, Daisy has been telling me how good the double is and it seems that those of you with the single really rate it too. So my question is, do you think it would be a good pushchair to take on hols? ie is it nice and light for travelling, does it fold small, does it have enough shade from the sun?

Back to work for me on Monday (although then I get the summer off so not too bad). I'm looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measure!!

Hi again, doing better at not falling off 'threads I'm on'

Hope your boobs are better soon Daisy, if you want to come for a day out or sleepover here during the holiday we could at least have someone to chat to at silly o'clock in the morning!

DH has started asking when DD is moving into her own room more often recently and tbh, I am glad he is going away for a fortnight on Monday. She has settled better tonight after making her go for a second chance at an afternoon nap today. Wondering if she wa struggling on, then being too tired to have her bedtime feed so snacking all evening? So many possibilities, so little clue

Rosa, have a lovely time in Cornwall - the rain is part of the atmosphere!

LolaBella · 11/07/2009 20:56

I'm back at work on monday too Juanitad same as you then off for summer! To be honest i wish i had been there this week too as had the most awful week with O. He has been so whiney and clingy all week. Not sure what the problem is. Thinking teeth as we have none yet but who knows

Poor Daisy, hope you are feeling better. I had thrush when breastfeeding and i remember that being bloody painful enough never mind Mastitis.

Enjoy your hols Rosa

Hi to everyone else

LackaDAISYcal · 11/07/2009 21:12

Yorky, sleepover sounds like a brilliant idea ....I'll see if I can offload DS1 for the day with the GPs and bring the two little ones with me.

jaunita.....have a look here for vids of the City Mini.

Work....I emailed my letter of resignation on Thursday

Ceebee74 · 11/07/2009 21:16

Yep I have one of those ol' clingy babes aswell! The Hamster is just screaming constantly - and it is particularly worse when he is left in a room by himself. I am hoping it is seperation anxiety and that it passes soon as it is becoming very tiring!! But, then he smiles one of his gorgeous smiles at me and I forget my irritation - very clever these babies aren't they?

Juanitad/Lolabella good luck this week - it will be fine and then you have a lovely 6 weeks off

Daisy ouch for your boobs Hope they improve soon!

Hectic time here - it is DS1's birthday on Tuesday but we are having his party tomorrow. He is SO excited, particularly as his best friend at nursery is also having his birthday party tomorrow so that is 2 parties in one day where he gets to play with his best friend

LackaDAISYcal · 11/07/2009 21:17

bumble doing the velcro thing as well....must be their age!

juanitad · 11/07/2009 21:21

Definitely like the look of it Daisy, am very tempted..........am also interested in that pushchair that was on the Apprentice a while ago, does anyone know anything about that one? Is it meant to be any good?

Yorky · 11/07/2009 21:34

Is that the one which folds itself into a pull along suitcase JuanitaD? I saw it at the baby show but was being very strict about not buggying so couldn't even tell you the name [v impressed with self emoticon!]

tegan · 12/07/2009 09:13

Morning all

fudge I have just about got the dress crisis sorted, Wine silk dress with silver, shoes bag and accessories.

This morning O never woke until 8.30am afer being put to bed at 8.30 last night and having a bottle at 4am, so a very successful night in the tegan household.

I have a majorly busy week coming up, not only is dd1 leaving school for secondary, there are special assemblies, agm, and i have to go and have my nails, eyebrows and other beauty treatments ready for the big day on saturday.

coolkat · 12/07/2009 21:27

Where are you all, hope your all ok. x

Yorky · 12/07/2009 23:02

Tegan wine silk sounds lovely

We're doing OK here but a bit cos just done hand and feet casts of DD and she made a fist so got air bubbles in her finger ends and is missing 2 fingernails The foot is lovely though
DH suggested painting the hand anyway and giving it to MIL for Christmas!

Hello quiet people, hope you're all being sensible and having an early night - I should but haven't got round to it yet! DH away from 10am tomorrow, back mid next week, hopefully no later than Thursday

Yorky · 12/07/2009 23:03

That proves I need an early night - the was supposed to be does that look like a yawn?

barbareebaa · 13/07/2009 12:19

hello all!
Quick me post
Had to call ambulance last night as W started wheezing really bad. Not sure if asthma attack(me and dh both have)or reaction to bolognaise sauce - tried a wee bit on leg, tummy and arm - no reaction so put tiniest dab on lip. 15 mins later wheezing. Think tho might be reaction to rug I bought for new house - loose fibres. Gah! So scary this allergy thing. Am taking W to docs this aft to ask what to do if happens again. Laid in bed with W last night listening to his chest rattle - awful. Have had to go hosp myself with asthma attacks before so don't wanna take any chances and am sick and tired of being pushed from pillar to post. Already, since coming back feel like we have been passed around - HV to dr to HV to Dr again and finally referral but won't hear about appt for another 2 weeks.
We have got moved into new house - lovely but everything is everywhere already had leaky washing machine and no telly asthma attack (or something) and numerous snipinmg incidents.
Ha well. Things can only get better (crosses fingers...)
x

barbareebaa · 13/07/2009 12:21

sniping incidents!!

Yorky · 13/07/2009 12:24

That sounds so scary Barbs, I hope you managed to sleep after that. The last thing you need in the middle of a house move is a poorly baby, I really hope your appt comes through soon and you get some answers

LackaDAISYcal · 13/07/2009 14:13

oh barbs . That sounds really scary. I hope W is OK today and that you can get a quick referral for him.

I have been run off my feet this morning with posting things, picking things up, leaving feedback etc etc; this ebay entrepeneur stuff is blooming hard work!

Still I have mabe over £400 in ten days; which is enough for the bathroom suite we have seen ....now for the tiles

chocolategal · 13/07/2009 14:13

Hi all
glad W is ok barbs that sounds very scary.
Are the schools off now as it's very quiet here?
