Hello all

Wow I can't keep up anymore - my comp is still dodgy so I have to use DH's laptop in the evening.

I have just been watching the Michael Jackson memorial service - it was really something special, I don't know of any other musician that could get 1 billion viewers.

M is a combination of wonderful, frustrating, demanding, giggly, fun, cuddly, difficult and absolutely goddamn beautiful! I think he is teething at the moment as he's been really loud and whingey, not crying so much as squealing loudly almost in annoyance.

But we still have no teeth - but as I'm still BF I'm not complaining! We have a little movement by humping the floor with his tummy, but only backwards, which makes it very frustrating when he's trying to reach a toy I've put in front of him.

Well, that was a very me post but really just wanted to say hi to all.

winogal · 07/07/2009 22:30

Nope, wasn't on AN thread - thanks for warm welcome, LackaDAISYcal, don't feel like such a gate-crasher now!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 23:09

we take all sorts here

Hey choco....your new FB profile pic is just gorgeous; M is a cutie

LackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2009 08:00

Yay...I'm coming to Manchester as I feel much much better this morning.

Unfortunately I'm bringing all 3 DC with me!!!! DS1 is better, but not better enough for school, so I'm dosing him up on calpol and bringin him with. If nothing else he can keep the older LOs entertained during lunch!!

See you later TC lot

ellielou02 · 08/07/2009 08:17

Morning,
Glad your better daisy and I hope everyone enjoys the meet up
I had a bad night last night, I put millie down and she was a bit unsettled so went back up to her and she had been a littl e bit sick, picked her up and she was sick again, I put her on change table and she was alot sick, at this point DD1 starts shouting that I dont give her any attention and she is not well either, so I burst into tears then sent dd1 to her room to think about what she said, Millie was still screaming and my ears were all blocked up so I was feeling every scream . Feeling a little better this morning though!
Winogal nice to meet you, there are some lovely ladies on here. My hairdresser said this can happen for up to a year although mine has only just stopped falling out and Millie is 8 months, but as daisy says a trip to the gp wouldnt do any harm .
choc I was trying to watch Michael Jackson too I was crying at the bits I saw. Was very good and respectful I thought.

LackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2009 08:29

oh, ellie . Sorry you are feeling so rubbish. It's no fun looking after DC when everyone is poorly.

DS1 is better, but very touchy about everything. You'd think I was trying to murder him when I was combing his hair this morning. He was acting worse than DD, squealing and crying, and then sat whimpering on the sofa for 10 minutes until I snapped and shouted at him.

chocolategal · 08/07/2009 08:37

Morning everyone

you had such a bad night ellie
Glad your feeling better daisy

Hope you all have a fabby meet up.

choco i was watching the MJ thing too, was quite reassured by the 'normalness' of his DC iykwim and they are obviously very close to his family.

We had a day of whining yesterday, taking no milk and clingyness! DS 4th tooth is just poking through so i put it down to that but when i was walking upstairs with him for bath time he was sick everywhere! Then back to being fine! Obviously he had an upset tummy

Hi to everyone

chocolategal · 08/07/2009 08:38

oh , how rude of me, hi winogal

Ceebee74 · 08/07/2009 08:44

Just a quickie as I really must go and have a shower before I leave for the TC

Winogal welcome and do stick around My hair is also still falling out - not as much as it was but still more than is probably 'normal' - but with your other symptoms, I would go to the docs aswell. What date was your LO born? Boy or girl?

Choco the Hamster does exactly the same annoyed squeal - although I would describe it as more of a screech and it is SO SO loud!! It is always when he is in a room by himself (i.e. if I have gone to the loo/kitchen to get something etc) - it is driving me up the wall but he is so gorgeous that I forgive him as soon as he smiles at me

Ellie hope Millie is better this morning - your night sounds bad and all you need when you are ill aswell These toddlers definitely know what buttons to press don't they?

Ceebee74 · 08/07/2009 08:45

Daisy it will be fine - take his mind off feeling sorry for himself at least - see you in a bit

coolkat · 08/07/2009 11:47

Hi ladies,

Have a fab day at the TC It is today isn't it Ceebee

Ellie sorry you had bad night, I hope yu are feeling better and having a relaxing day.

Welcome Winogal.

Daisy, why is my Breastmilk supply dwindling, it feels like Becca is sucking and sucking but not getting anything therefore she gets a right stress on! This is the feeds she currently has morning, 3/4pm, 6.30pm and then through the night but I feel like she is struggling to get much

Sorry for mumbling on! I am very tired tonight as Becca woke last night at 10.30 and for the love of god I could not work out what was wrong, so I shall blame it on teeth

Oblomov · 08/07/2009 13:10

Welcome Winogal.
My hair is still falling out alot. It is looking decidedly thin and I am not confident that I can make it long spangely for M's christening this sunday. Am excited, but also a bit nervous.
Ellie, hope you are feeling better.
Hope Manchester meet up ladies are having a ball.

cricri · 08/07/2009 14:35

Hello all, have been lurking but haven't had chance to post as usual.
Hope the northern ladies are having a good meet-up at the TC
Ellielou Hope you feel better soon, and that Millie does too.
Daisy Glad you're feeling better.
Coolkat I was interested to read your comment about bf because I was beginning to think the same. After reading good old Kellymom here I've been increasing the amount of feeds E has during the day. For example she'll have two feeds during the morning, one of them just before lunch and two again in the afternoon, one of them just before tea. In the evening she has another one just before bed and then she'll feed again at around 10.30pm/11. Then she might feed once during the night and again at 5.30/6am. This is just her pattern, but HTH.
Welcome Wingogal My hair is still falling out too, but not as much as before. It still looks very thin though. I have an underactive thyroid so if you have other symptoms then ask your GP for a blood test.
We took E to Holland at the weekend and she was great. She adapted really well even though her routine was totally disrupted. Now we're home she's slotted right back into her UK routine too so I'm pleased about that!
Must go, she's just woken up - hello to everyone else!

LadyBuzz · 08/07/2009 18:58

Hi everyone,
Welcome Winogirl

Well I had a fab time at the TC today, it was lovely to see how much the babies are progressing, They were all as good as gold again.

Daisy Your DS1 was just lovely, I don't believe he could be anything else

Ellie hope your LOs are better today.

Rosa hope minirosa is OK.

coolkat · 08/07/2009 19:40

Glad TC went well.

Crici I understand what you mean about feed more make more milk but I was thinking I should only be needing to BF her 3 / 4 times a day max now that she is on 3 meals a day. Will give kellymom a look. Think upping feeds may be the only way!

Thanks

Ceebee74 · 08/07/2009 20:28

Evening all

I had a lovely day aswell today - all the babies and other siblings are gorgeous (and, yes, do not believe a word Daisy says about her DS1 - he is so cute and very well behaved!!)

LackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2009 20:58

lol ceebee....he was only doing it to show me up

I didn't get home until 7.45 . some sort of accident or something with one lane closed and the effing M62 ground to a halt. Nearly four hours of whinging, screeching, grumping and crying...and that was just me

I am done in and I still have whinging and crying rattling around inside my head...or maybe that's just the baby monitor

Fab day though , all the DC were fantastically well behaved....I'm sure that's what was rubbing off on my DS1.

LackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2009 21:04

coolkat, agree about upping daytime feeds if possible. bumble seems really frustrated with me at the minute as well though, especially at the end of the day and my boobs certainly don't feel as full as they used to. I need to try something myself to up my supply too.

I didn't get much beyond this stage with DD so it's all unchartered territory for me.

barbareebaa · 08/07/2009 22:53

hi all!
Welcome winogirl fab name!!
Glad you were well enough to make meetup Daisy but sorry to hear about journey back - what a PITA
bf think my supply must be loads less now. W feeds on and off from 4am but doesn't take any more when we get up til about 10am when i feed him to sleep. Then he has a toppy-uppy before we go out, then maybe anotherwhen we get back then a little to go to sleep at night. i can't believe how indepedant he's getting!
think am hormonal and nuts at mo - hyper sensitive, full of adrenilin it feels like, can't take criticism, confront random blokes in street kind of obsessive too. I do feel like i'm on drugs, sometimes i feel so ecstatic, high. could it just be AF about to reappear? oh also want pregnancy, sooooo broody, my God!!!
Got keys to house today - start move tomorrow, hopefully spend first night on saturday. Looking forward to it!!
xx

PinkyMinxy · 09/07/2009 00:07

hello all!

Well, just got back from TC- spent the entire evening chasing DD1 around Debenhams cafe...only kidding! but she certainly knows how to run!lol

Had a lovely time, and agree with others that your little boy is a star, Daisy

And oh my goodness the babies! How cute. And they really do look like proper little boys now.

Sorry the journey back was so difficult, Daisy

I have been asleep all evening. Had DS's parents evening after dinner then put Mimi to bed and fell asleep myself.

Hello Winogal Barbs Hope you are feeling ok. I think it does sound a bit hormonal, to me. I get very broody and a bit emotional when I cut down feeds-and as theyr start enjoying their food this is ineviatble. Plus you haVE A lot going on with the move etc.

love to allx

Rosa · 09/07/2009 04:46

Glad you all had a nice time and Daisy nightmare journey back - I dread to think about it -
Barbs - I still seem to have raging hormones going from one excess to another but I am also putting that down to lack of sleep.
WInogal - hi - I don't have the hair loss but I seem to have an inbalance in some bs levels anyway time will tell .
Minirosa seems to be ok we went to the doc yesterday morning after a 4am of 40deg and sponging down until Calpol kicked in ( we had been doing alternate meds with ibroprufen baby). She had no other symptoms but as we are flying today I did not want to go with an ear infection or suchlike. DOc was great and gave her a good check over and found nothing but wanted to just check her wee - would she pee NO! Tried feeding her , tickling, everything. I went to the chemist to get a wee catching bag so we could put her in her buggy for a nap -as we were holding cotton wool over her bum ( as nappies absorb it too fast) and found some pear juice half a bottle later she did a huge wee on the cotton wool , DH hand, trousers and surgery floor. It showed negative ( phew) and yesterday she seemed a bit better -so I have packed and UK here we come!

tegan · 09/07/2009 06:14

Morning

I appologise for not being about for a long while but it's the last 2 weeks of the school year and with a 11 and 5 yr olds i feel like i haven't slept for a month.

O has been poorly since the weekend, teething but none are through yet.

I have a wedding to attend in a weeks time, dh is best men, and i have the dress but no shoes, bag, jewellery, present, and need to get hair, make up, nails, and waxing sorted.

also dd1 leaves for secondary school next week and i am totally unprepared for her growing so fast

LackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2009 07:54

hi tegan they grow up sooo fast don't they? I'm dreading DS1 going to high school; it seems to mark the end of childhood and the start of the journey to being an adult.

Pinky, no wonder she wanted to run after being cooped up in the pram for a few hours! I hope that Mr Camel managed to stay dry

My Rosa, you were up early. Have a good journey and I hope minirosa is OK.

barbs, moving house is one of the most stressful things that you can do and you are about to do it for the second time in a matter of weeks; it's no wonder you are feeling a bit wired. My PMT is absolutely hideous at the minute as well though and I feel really wound up when I'm ovulating as well so perhaps it is your AF about to come back? Or as Pinky says, if W is cutting down on BFs there is a hormonal response to that. Maybe a wee chat with your new HV might help though, put things into perspective and reassure you that you aren't going mad! I'm looking forward to meeting up in a couple of weeks

LackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2009 07:59

oops and meant to say that after their late night last night, my lot are hideous this morning (which is why I'm hiding behind the laptop). DS1 has had a temperature all night and has been sick this morning, bumble was up five times and ended up in the bed with me as it was easier (I don't think he had enough BFs yesterday) and DD was up at 5.30.

and I bit my nails down so far in the car yesterday afternoon (stressed, moi? ) that one of them is really painful today and I keep catching it on things

hainvg a duvet day and am going to get the little ones back to bed in a bit and then doze on the sofa.

and I need to write a letter of resignation to my boss.....not looking forward to sending that.

ellielou02 · 09/07/2009 08:43

Morning,
I am lots better today and got my results i Dont have swine flu yee ha, so can now leave the house . My girls are getting better too
rosa glad minirosa is a bit better, it is scary when there temp goes up soo much.
barbs hope the move goes ok.
tegan I kept wondering if your were going to my sisters wedding but she is getting married on sunday in formby, I hope O is feeling better soon.
I am glad the meet up was good, will need to try and get a scottish one organised
daisy Good luck with the letter and ope your lo's are better soon.
I am going back to my work for 1 day a week (i need to work 3 months for my maty pay) but I got told yesterday I am due 13 weeks holiday based on my one day a week so I think I want to go back for a wee while then will prob have to leave and get my holiday pay, but dont know quite what to do cos in theory I could just leave and take my hols???
