I dunno tbh i thought I would just be told its a cold and dont be silly but no Dr came up an hour later. I have always had a bit of a health anxiety anyway but he said its unlikely but just in case.............. I have asthma too and thats the only reason he gave me the tamiflu

coolkat · 06/07/2009 18:42

Ellielou is DH home to help you?

I know its silly but this flu lark worries me...

Hope your ok Daisy. x

Glad you like car Ladybuzz. x

coolkat · 06/07/2009 18:43

Oh and Ceebee when you meeting

ellielou02 · 06/07/2009 18:47

No he is away, and ccolkat you are not being silly.

PinkyMinxy · 06/07/2009 18:59

Hello all

Thanks for the info, ceebee, I think it got it!

Daisy hope you are feeling better because you really do need to come to meet us! But seriously I do hope you feel better.

Lola I meant to say, I got married when DS was 12 weeks old- and I was seriously busty I think I looked ok, I'm sure you'll look fab.

back laterx

Ceebee74 · 06/07/2009 20:25

Ladies - very funny

Coolkat I am also starting to seriously worry about swine flu - was reading a thread on here yesterday and it sounds so nasty and I am fairly sure it is inevitable that we will get it. I have only had flu once before and it was bad plus I hate the boys being ill (am not a very good 'nurse' )

Daisy sorry you and DH are suffering Hope you are better by Wednesday - won't be the same without you

Ellie hope you get better quickly aswell - how cr*p for you.

Buzz glad you like the car - DH has a big people carrier and it fits so much in - tis great!

All good here - the Hamster is rolling over constantly now which is not a good thing as he gets onto his tummy and often gets stuck and then screeches very loudly until someone goes to rescue him But on a plus point, his pincer grip has developed - today he was picking raisins up off his tray with his finger and thumb and putting them in his mouth

LackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2009 20:32

lola, I'm sure you'll look lovely in your dress...be sure to post some pics on FB of the day

feeling bleargh and am going to call the docs tomorrow if I'm no better. DH thinks it's "man" 'flu, but he just doesn't like anyone being more ill than him.

I'm very excited; I have bids on my ebay items!!

ellielou02 · 06/07/2009 20:33

Pah dd1 & 2 very snotty, grumpy and dd1 has sore throat! If i felt well enough and was allowed out i would run away.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2009 21:37
PinkyMinxy · 06/07/2009 21:42

ellielou sorry you are all feeling poorly, too.

LadyBuzz · 07/07/2009 07:59

Daisy and Ellie sorry you are both feeling poorly, hope it doesn't develop into anything!

Daisy hope you can meet tomorrow if you are better

What time and where are we meeting BTW? I need to be mega organised to get out of the house on time at the moment!

Ceebee don't feel bad I'm not the worlds best nurse either

Ceebee74 · 07/07/2009 09:44

Daisy/Ellie how are you both feeling this morning?

Buzz what time can you get to the T Centre without killing yourself in the morning ? Let us know and we will meet then - shall we meet same place as last time and maybe go into the play area for a bit and then lunch?? What do you think? (I am being bossy again aren't I?)

Just killing 5 minutes before I need to go and wake Sam up and take him to nursery - he is going for lunch today and I am going shopping

ellielou02 · 07/07/2009 10:14

Morning (rubs eyes)
I am feeling no worse so taking that as a good thing, but tired, those bloody tablets I am sure they have caffine or something in them, they seem to make you a bit hyper , never managed to sleep till about 2??? Anyhoo the good news is i have lost 2lb .
daisy how are you today?? I would phone doc if you are still feeling crap, I think the tablets have helped a bit.
ladybuzz am with you on the organisation thing I never used to be late but not now!

ceebee your day sounds great!

Yorky · 07/07/2009 10:39

Hope you are feeling a bit better Daisy and Ellie

Have a lovely met up tomorrow, pretty fed up I can't make it tbh as DH was supposed to have all this week off as he's away for the next fortnight

DD threw her tea all back at me yesterday evening, and then did the same with a BF so had a horrible night of her waking about every 1.5hrs for little feeds as I wouldn't give her much. On the plus side she didn't throw up overnight, but I am in bits this morning. Thank goodness DS is at nursery

Yesterday was the best day I have had with DS for ages, he was in a lovely mood and even though it rained all day and naps and getting dressed were in the wrong time to go either of the groups we could bit on a Monday he didn't seem to get bored or high maintenance. He even read me a story!

PinkyMinxy · 07/07/2009 13:22

Hello all

yorky it's a shame we won't see you tomorrow. Mimi was sick like that the other day- all over metwice in one day- nice. No serious after effects, though and it only lasted for that one day.

Ceebee please do be bossy no seriously you are veyr good at organising these things.

have not heard from VBAB for a bit, have we? Hope you are ok sweetie, and RUTHO if you are lurkingxx

Meant to say, oBs well done your little boy on his crawling- that's great!

LadyBuzz · 07/07/2009 15:12

I'm sure I can be there for around 10.30 - 11 if that is any good for anyone.
Meeting in the same place for a little play then lunch is fine by me - boss away ceebs we would never get there if it was left to me .

Yorky sorry you can't make it tomorrow it would have been lovely to see you again!

Pinky I think Vbab is on holiday??? Not 100% sure.

Ellie glad you are feeling a little better today

Daisy how are you doing?

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 17:10

I doubt I'll make it tomorrow guys . Still feeling pretty rough and my thraot is horrible with white stuff on my tonsils....doesn't feel like tonsilitis though. There's a lot of it about apparently.

DS was sent home from school earlier as well.

I'll reassess in the morning though, if DS is at school.....what time?

PinkyMinxy · 07/07/2009 18:55

10:30 ish sounds good to me. I can ask DH to drop me and the girls off after taking DS to school.

Dasiy I hope you feel better soon.

LadyBuzz · 07/07/2009 19:16

10:30 is good for me - See you there!

Daisy hope you feel better soon .

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 20:24

I am very very excited....

DH and I have been surveying our possessions, especially ones that might be worth something. DH has some dinky toys, one of which might get £55, and I uncovered a book I bought years ago with the paintings of Jack Vettriano accompanied by Scottish writings. I plugged the isbn into a search thing on a book website, and it is a first edition.....which were on sale for £225 . It gets better though as mine is a signed one, and I saw one on one website for £350 ....so, sell it or keep it????? knowing that it's probably only going to go up in value (I mean he isn't even dead yet ).

Rosa · 07/07/2009 20:30

Hello, back at home briefly before coming to the UK - well I hope so as minirosa has a temp and I have not started packing just in case. AM hoping its her teeth but there are no bumps . She diddn't want her dinner but she tucked in to melon ( it was cool)and had some milk.
Am catching up I think -
Tegan I think you mean the Venezia buggy I don't think they make them over here any more.
Sorry to hear about the flu and I hope that you are feeling better soon.
Have a great meet up .
Welldone to bum shufflers and rollers. Minirosa will rock on all 4s on our bed and in her cot. She will lurch forward and do a tummy flip when after a toy but she tends to chin butt things and screams so she has padded toys and cushions and supervsion. She loves the beads on a frame - Ikea thing. Right off to check temp - Calpol at the ready ....

winogal · 07/07/2009 21:27

Hi, hope you don't mind me posting a random question here ... my hair is still falling out lots and I'm now getting noticeably thinner on top - is it still normal for it to be coming out when DS is now almost 8 months? Anything I can take (vitamin supplement or the like) to improve things? I'm getting decidely thin on top now and I didn't have a very good barnett to start with!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 21:39

Hi winogal , have you had your thyroid function tested? I know an underactive thyroid can cause hair loss problems.

Certainly worth a visit to the doc

winogal · 07/07/2009 21:54

Thanks LackaDAISYcal. Nope, haven't been to doc yet but was thinking maybe I should. Hadn't thought specifically of thyroid but wondered if it was hormonal, because another symptom I have is still very little sex drive or natural lubrication in the bedroom department! Apols if TMI! Wondered if that might be related to b/feeding but that's probably me clutching at straws!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 22:03

the libido stuff is probably due to BFing....I am the same! (and no doubt one of mother nature's ways of ensuring a healthy age gap!)

Were you on the AN thread? Nice to meet you if not
