Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

chocolategal · 20/04/2009 23:11

That would be googling!

LackaDAISYcal · 20/04/2009 23:12

tha mango will probably have the opposite effect

oranges are good for loosening things up, but I think citrus is on the list of things to wait until after six months.

chocolategal · 20/04/2009 23:18

Yeh citrus and strawberries I was told. I asked the advice of the paed drs when I was up at last scan appointment incase I should be aware of anything with the kidney issue and they said it's quite common to have an allergy to strawberries.

hordergirl · 20/04/2009 23:31

Hi, just found this thread whilst looking for HE groups in CAnnock/Brownhills-it would be great to find something near to where we are. I have 3 boys, aged 6, nearly 4 and just 1. HI Heartmum2jamie-I think you're from the same neck of the woods and have boys too? DId you find any local groups?

hordergirl · 20/04/2009 23:32

Sorry posted in wrong group

LackaDAISYcal · 20/04/2009 23:35

feel horrible. For 2 nights now I have hardly slept and when I have I have been turning a lot or waking up worried . I assumed Sun night was because I was nervous about meeting you laides but it happened again last night . I wonder if there is any over the counter knock you on the head at bedtime medicine? Could try exercise and a bath before bed but think it is more than that. Could buy the kalm tabs for nice too! Not getting too dependant am I ?

twinklingfairy · 21/04/2009 08:54

vbab You were prob worrying yourself about what people thought about you Even though they clearly thoight you were just lovely.
I would see how tonight goes before getting anymre pills and things.
Hope you are not offended by that suggestion.
You are such a worrier, love

We were all up at 650 this am. Bleeding cat Yowling to get out[grr].
Not impressed.

vbab78 · 21/04/2009 09:07

twinkling - not offended. might try the bath before bed and see how that goes. Wondering if bedroom related stuff with DH is one (loads more) of things I am worried about. The frustrating thing about not sleeping or bad sleep is that I go to bed exhausted and ready to sleep.

LadyBuzz · 21/04/2009 09:28

Morning,
Glad everyone enjoyed the meet up yesterday. Wish I could have made it but its just a little bit too far for me.

Had a lovely day yesterday, Had a potter round the shops while DS1 was at nursery then spent the rest of the day in the garden in the sunshine. Jay was in his walker and has worked out how to push himself backwards, Clever boy he looked so proud of himself!
He is almost sitting up by himself, only needs a tiny bit of support now.

Daisy you have my sympathies with the spider - I hate them.
Hope you didn't have nest nightmares Choc Twink glad things are back on track for you.

Vbab if all else fails I used to take the nytol herbal and found them to be quite good. Might have been in my head but it had the desired effect.

I have been looking into future career options and was hoping to do a degree in homeopathy but when I have looked a the part time courses they will cost over £8,000 . Maybe not then! I'll have to have a rethink!

twinklingfairy · 21/04/2009 09:32

bedroom related stuff?
If you mean the pestering I was letting DH go to bed then staying up for a bit so that he was asleep before I got there.
Bad eh?
It was not just for that, it was also the only time I got to myself and me alone.
The fact that DH was asleep was merely a bonus.
But it did mean that I was/am up far too late at night.
This hit on Friday, when we had our barney, mainly cos I was too exhausted to be the grown up and take the high road, in walking away from bitchy comments.

spiders how am i to cope when we live alone????????

chocolategal · 21/04/2009 12:23

Hi everyone

No sleepthrough last night, as I expected. Just up twice so still not too bad.
Ladybuzz, clever J almost sitting up.
Twinkling & vbab, really hope things improve for you both soon.

Well it's raining here today

Just getting organised for paed appointment this afternoon, picking up DH on way which usually involves a trip into his office so all the ladies can see DS so need to leave in plenty time!

Autumnlady, seems there are a few of us here with a fear of spiders, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Hi to everyone

Oblomov · 21/04/2009 12:42

Afternoon.
Glad northern meet up went well. Vbab you are so lovely. And such a terrible worrier. Stop worrying, girl !!
Been to 'mental' appointment. wants me to see a pyschiatrist re my mood swings. This is fine. I await an appointment.
I think M is losing his tongue reflex a bit. has been swallowing big chunks of toast that dh and ds1 keep giving him. Best get puree'ing. God, I love this bit !

Rosa · 21/04/2009 13:40

Sounds as if you all had a lovely time - Went to get mini rosa weighed and she hasn't put on much in a month HV suggested I might start with the old weaning lark - ok so she is 24 weeks but shows no interest in food - she has had a bit of apple but she is not hankering after it as dd1 was....Oh well will see.
Dh has agreed that we can go on hols ( as well as staying in teh UK with Gps) so we have decided on dates etc and phoned the apartments and they are full .....SO now have to start looking again! Funny weather here looks like it could rain but its warm.

coolkat · 21/04/2009 14:12

Afternoon ladies.

Ob's glad your appointment went well. Get Pureeing lady!

Autumn Lady I would catch your spiders, they don't bother me however birds is something I am petrified of!

Ladybuzz sorry your course would be so much. I am always saying I would like to do an OU course but am to idle to sort it.

Monkey my DH owns Croc's to, my mum got him them from America and they are so handy for nipping out in the garden etc I am tempted to get a pair!

Its been so nice here today, need to sort my toes out and get my flip flops on! I have been to the library for story time and then for coffee with ladies and then met my sister for lunch. Just popping in as now need to ni tesco's and get DD1 from school!

Am thinking the sunshade I have bought is not going to work

coolkat · 21/04/2009 14:13

Oh and Becca the cheeky madam went to grab my lunch as I was putting it in my mouth! I am going to have to watch her!

AutumnLady · 21/04/2009 14:59

Hi coolkat - gladly swap you spiders for birds!

Obs - glad your appointment went well, how long is the waiting list for a psych referral?

Am loving the sunshine but hating the fact I am at work!!

J nearly sitting up alone just needs a little support

5inthebed · 21/04/2009 16:35

Well Sumo is getting himself really frustrated when he is on his belly now. He wants to be off, as in crawling! He keeps pushing himself with his feet and getting stuck against things all squashed. Makes me giggle. He is also sitting up quite good now, have loads of toys around him to keep him occupied. Have put a V shaped pillow around him for when he forgets he is sitting and falls.

Weather was lovely here this morn, but its now cloudy and getting cold I hate this wacky weather.

RE allergies Lamb and pear least likely things to be allergic to, although not sure the combination would work. Sumo now eats plenty of stuff pureed up, he is a right gannet! Does anyone know if you can still get that fromage frais (by danone I think) that was made with formula milk? Used to be able to get it when DS1+2 were weaning but can't seem to find it anywhere.

juanitad · 21/04/2009 16:47

Rosa, interesting what your HV said to you re weaning - mine said the opposite. P is now 14lb 12, despite being very long and has started to drop down on his graph - is 91st centile for height but 25th for weight (was 50th) HV said no point weaning at this stage as what he needs is fat, but if I wean him I can't give him anything with fat in, so he needs the fat from milk. She said to offer the second breast after he has finished the first to get him taking more milk. Isn't it strange how HVs can difer so much in their advice?!

LackaDAISYcal · 21/04/2009 16:56

yay for sumo

sounds like M is coming along nicely obs. He is surely 26 weeks already? he was over a week ahead bumble iirc.

coolkat, so is becca doing BLW then?

twinkling, I hope you and DH are talking now and getting things sorted.

hana, glad things are better with your DH. Mine was like a bear with a sore head this morning and got pissed off as I wasn't giving him my undivided attention....

Did a big supermarket shop and then went to stay and play this afternoon. A friend of mione had a dentist appointment so I said I would take her DS home with me so she could go on her own......so I had DD and friend's DS in the P&T, bumble in the sling and picked DS1 up from school as well

DD has just taken all her clothes off and is standing in her socks

OMG she has just sat on the potty and done a wee

OP posts:
Oblomov · 21/04/2009 17:27

Daisy, woooohoo for dd and her potty success.
max is not 26 weeks until this fri. And he is one of the oldest isn't he ? You guys are all weaning well early aren't you ? AmI the only one who isn't on 3 meals a day yet ?

5inthebed · 21/04/2009 17:31

Well done minidaisy!!! Has she been toilet training long?

coolkat · 21/04/2009 17:34

Breakfast and tea here! We are about 25 weeks!

Becca has constantly whinged since 4 getting a wee bit fed up now!

Yay for DD using the Potty Daisy!

5 Sounds like Sumo is doing fab!
