How am I going to get poo out of a cream coloured carpet??

mixedmamameansbusiness · 07/04/2009 13:16

No advice but just expressing my support Simps.

LaT - so about your dad. As everyone has said we will be here.

Gingeme · 07/04/2009 14:24

OMG Simpson not sure about the carpet but good news on the tests they did today. Might actualy get somewhere at last. Good luck with the reward chart. Ive done unknown chatrs for allsorts of things and they work pretty well
Had a bad night with George again Not sure what it is exactly. The only thing I can put it down to is teeth. He ate loads yesterday and he doesn't have a temp and it was nice and warm in their room. Its a mystery.
Spent a fortune on our family photos this morning ,thankyou Grandad . They will be ready in about 3 weeks. Oooh can't wait.
My Dad got the go ahead for his studio flat today. He moves in on the 21st. He wants me to go furniture hunting soon.
We all went to Clown Town this morning. It was great fun and it wasn't too busy.
I sat and warpped two pass the parcels up last night for Davids party on Saturday. I think everything is sorted. Just need to buy the food and cake on Thursday
Right think thats it from me.
I will try to pop back later. xxx

madmouse · 07/04/2009 15:28

simpson lots of warm water with biological washing liquid or powder, keep on blotting with clean cloths

unless it is an expensive special wool carpet or such, then better get professional advice

Madmouse - your tip worked well although the poo smell is still lingering

I still feel sick thing about it!!

Gingeme - you must show us the pics when you get them!!

Popped out to local shop this afternoon and bumped into friend whose DS is same age as J (they went to play group together) so we went into hers for cuppa which was nice. Although when we left J had total hissy fit

Have also been busy arranging a few playdates for us next week because DH is working and DS bored....

LuckySalem · 07/04/2009 18:12

Just quick

Simps - Shake n Vac?

I'm so happy. Im going to have about 3 hours to myself tomorrow to do go horse trekking!! I haven't been for years and I'm sooo looking forward to it

simpson · 07/04/2009 18:17

Lucky -

Can we swap??!!

LuckySalem · 07/04/2009 18:20

Nope!! :P I refuse to release this precious quietness!! Its too rare!! lol

Will take you with me though

simpson · 07/04/2009 18:42

LOL I will be there in spirit!!

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 07/04/2009 19:24

Me too in spirit please

H not right today, DH encountered worst poo ever (& - it wasn't me!) not sure, trying to think through everything he's eaten but can't think of anything new/dodgy. had lots of chocolate this morning but he's had some chocolate before so can't see that's it.

Had a good day overall though, friends came round with their toddlers who all had a great time on the trampoline - not too many tantrums from them all, and no major bumps!

Though T bumped his head on the kitchen cupboards somehow (i wasn't there) and developed a huge 'egg' on the side of his head. he was over it pretty quick and seems fine but a bit to feel.

LaT - have been thinking of you today, hope you are doing ok with everything. practical things - are you all coming home asap? does your dad live near you at home or are you going to need to travel lots to see him? don't overdo things, esp re your mum's house too. very easy to forget about yourself at times like these.

DH gone for takeaway (not good for diet, but 8,12 again today so allowing myself more treats as Easter is 'here'!) and i'm doing family tree sat on the floor with old laptop & new laptop - looks v professional!

LuckySalem · 07/04/2009 19:25

Well me too, DD just had horrible nappy, leaked down her legs and covered her teddy too so can feel your pain today Simps.
Have these lot been talking to each other? I bet M told them all how funny it is.

simpson · 07/04/2009 19:34

at all the horrid nappies!!

Must be catching

JKS - am of your trampoline. Would love to get J one but don't think our back garden is big enough.

Lilyloo · 07/04/2009 20:15

What's with all the nappy explosions

Lucky enjoy the day tom!!

Simps we have had loads of use from ours already. It is big though but we have fairly biggish garden and it was too good a bargain to miss

Oh well pretty dull day here getting on top of chores as dc finish school / pre school tom for 2.2 weeks! L won the raffle at pre school though so lot's of choccies but i forgot to give H money for his Luckily L shared!

Oh well back to building H lego am getting bit tired of this now and there is still lot's to go

Gingeme · 07/04/2009 20:22

of back gardens.
Could have done with one today.
George didn't have much of a nap this afternoon so has been a bit velcro baby
Going to have a change round in the boys room tommorrow. Will put their bunk beds back as bunk beds and move the cot somehow. Got to make more room for when my big boys come on Friday.
Never been pony trecking but I bet its lovely. Little bit cautious of horses though but would love to give it a try.
Simpson that was handy bumping into your friend .

nicky6 · 07/04/2009 20:53

hi guys jsut a quickie talking of bad mummy - first charlie has got first tooth and second one coming but still took her for mmr and pneumonia jabs ( as i forgot it at 12 months) lots of screaming but didnt last long, then i got her home changed her and for the first time she dropped something on the floor and rolled off the changing table on to the floor craah and gave herself a nosebleed blood all in her mouth poor thing.

anyway gone to sleep at 7pm and was out like a light as normal so we will see what the night brings

only 4 more weeks or so then i go on maternity leave

nicky6 · 07/04/2009 20:54

plus meant to ask - double buggies any suggestions - i dont like the phil and teds i dont think

simpson · 07/04/2009 21:05

Poor Charlie and poor you nicky

I remember when DS fell off table at 13mths I felt terrible

On the double buggy front do you want a side by side?

I think gingeme has a maclaren.

I like the look of the nipper 360 which is a 3 wheeler.

I had the mothercare urban detour which I loved but it is very wide...

mixedmamameansbusiness · 08/04/2009 09:23

Ugghh double buggies I had a twin and found it awful since DS1 was at the front and big and heavy and it hurt my wrists trying to get it about (but it was free and brand new).

not really advice is it... sorry. my only suggestion is this wait till baby is here and manage the first few weeks with sling and buggy and take them both with you to pick one so you can actually put them in and se what feels right. The Jane ones look like a good size not huge.

Morning all... I think I passed on DS1 pooing to all the little one.

Lilyloo · 08/04/2009 11:55

Any ideas much appreciated

simpson · 08/04/2009 12:59

Lilyloo - have posted

Let us know what H picks!!

LaTrucha · 08/04/2009 13:38

Hi guys,

Thanks for you nice messages. Honetsly, I feel so awful. I took my mum's death and my brother's things as well as I could but this has me wretched. I feel so sick, physically and mentally. I just don't know how I'm going to get through.

Lily - I thought of a hair or an eyelash, a red lentil, a tomato seed, a grain of salt (maybe sea salt!), a peppercorn, a mustard seed (etc on the seeds).

What are all your opinions on letting LO get out of the pushchair to walk or be walked? Sabela is often getting impatient and I have taken her out of the seat a few times but I think I should stop or it will get more and more difficult to keep her in it.

madmouse · 08/04/2009 14:43

LaT no wonder you feel like that, any of the things you are going through alone is enough let alone all together

wish i could make you feel better

all i can say is here if you need me and will never get bored of hearing about your mum dad and brother

simpson · 08/04/2009 15:49

LaT - another one who is here for you ((hugs))

simpson · 08/04/2009 17:49

DD not well today

She woke up from her afternoon nap with a temp of 39.2.

She has gone to bed already with as much nurofen etc as I can give her and temp was down to 38.2.

I hate it when she has a high temp, makes me worry.....

Lilyloo · 08/04/2009 20:56

Oh Simps hope she better tom!!

LaT i don't know what to say other than to echo MM. As for the pushchair it's a tough one. I don't use one much as we always in the car. I have the same issue now with M wanting to play out. Basically i took her out with dc last week. Now we have tears every time they go and she sits at window watching them.
So she will likely ask to be out more if you take her out more iyswim!
Guess it depends on how much of a rush you are to get anywhere!!

Thanks for suggestions , nearly at 75 items
