Lucky - what is the matter??

Talk to me!!

madmouse · 04/04/2009 19:08

lucky you ok i am here shall i ring you? if dp is in leave the house go for a walk

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 04/04/2009 19:10

Dp is in bed - he's working tonight.

She's driving me insane. She doesn't know what she wants I dont think. I pick her up she wants down, I put her down she screams.

If I get 2 mins alone its cos she's into something (just ripped a library book up that I'm going to have to pay for & emptied a pack of wipes)

I just dont know what to do with her, she's bored I think but nothing I go amuses her, I'm just gonna try to get her to bed I think. She normally goes at 8pm anyway so maybe she'll go early

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 04/04/2009 19:59

She may just be tired Lucky. Try and get her settled then chill yourself.

madmouse · 04/04/2009 20:21

sweetie Nathan does it too. They are discovering that they are their own little person and that they have an opinion and a will. Don't blame her and at the same time accept that she is being impossible and that it is ok for you to be totally fed up.

Hope she's in bed by now. Am still here if you want to talk on facebook or phone xx

simpson · 04/04/2009 20:47

Lucky - this was what I found difficult with DD last night.

When I went into her room she put her arms up crying to be picked up then once up crying to go back to bed etc...

Think it could be tiredness as JKS says.

simpson · 04/04/2009 20:49

Had a brilliant time at the fair

DS ate so much crap treats!!

He went on loads of rides and didn't seem scared by anything, honestly he is fearless. Not like his mummy who won't even go on dodgems!!

Cost us an absolute fortune though

LuckySalem · 04/04/2009 21:13

Shes in bed. I know its not her fault and I'm not blaming her, I'm blaming me.
I think I'm starting to realise how much of a control freak I am.
She's not doing as I'd like her to so I can't cope. Things aren't going as I want them and so I can't cope. IYKWIM

I like to do things in a specific way. I'm the kind of person that once shown once I'm away but if I'm not shown I get stressed trying to work it out. So i've been given ways of dealing with her and they're not working so now I can't cope.

LuckySalem · 04/04/2009 21:15

Sorry - meant to add (less selfishly) Glad you had fun at the fair Simps. Sod the cost the odd blow out here and there is good for the soul I think. Esp if you've had a good time.

AngeChica · 04/04/2009 21:43

Baggying new thread.

Aah we lost Simps. Heading for a mid table finish again, but hopefully above palace still.

Weather getting good LaT, I recall getting up in Spain and pretty much every day the sun searing down from a clear blue sky from April onwards. Can't help but cheer the soul.

Love your new nathan pics on FB Madmouse.

Plasterers been in again today so had to take DS out of the way and off to Metrocentre and buy myself some shoes (of course )

Do people's LOs still have bottles? DS still has 2x with breakfast and bedtime. Guess I should think about moving to cups? He does the letting the water back out of his mouth thing too Lucky, most annoying, if I forget to put a bib on he soaks himself.

Hi mixedmama it's nearly THAT time of year again, you know what I mean! DH and I sos ad we've been tracking other countries' Eurovision entry competitions. In particular Sweden, always turns up some corkers.

OK I'm gonna fess up to a gross thing that happened to me I was driving to work on Weds and felt something in my left shoe, as soon as I could get my foot off the clutch I took it off only to find a lump of poo in my shoe . I can only assume as I change DS on my knee it must have rolled out of his nappy and into the shoe.

Luckily it wasn't too squidgy so I could just take my pop sock off and my shoe didn't smell at work!

madmouse · 04/04/2009 22:14

Oh Ange traumatised by poo in shoe. Was that the new shoes?

Talking of tempers and tantrums here is a pic to illustrate the new thread title.

I only told him dinner was too hot

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 05/04/2009 09:38

Madmouse - PMSL big-time at the photo

Ange - oh no, nightmare at least it wasn't squishy!!!

T just helped himself to come Cheerios as a 'second' breakfast (cue huge mountain of cheerios on table!!), now sitting in front of tv having a tv-breakfast. oh well.
H napping as usual.

Off to Factory Shop in a mo for more crafty bits & photo albums, etc.
then home to assemble trampoline if we can!

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 05/04/2009 09:39

G - did you have your bbq yesterday? was lovely in the end here, hope it was for you too.

Loving these sunny days

simpson · 05/04/2009 10:46

Ange - LOL at poo in show story Also hoping it wasn't your new shoes!!

Yes Grrr on losing yesterday (yet again) but at least we are doing better than Scum!!

DH was supposed to be in work at 4.30am this morning but he slept in so he got the kids up so I got an unexpected lie in...

Both Dcs were rather vocal in the night DD at 4am and DS at 5am. They then proceeded to go back to sleep and sleep on till gone 9

Madmouse - LOL at Nathan's temper tantrum!!

Going to my mum's for Sunday dinner today then maybe park later....

My mum is going to Oz for 2 weeks on Wed, so is a farewell meal, kind of!!

ucky - hoping you have a better day with A today, I feel your pain!!

AngeChica · 05/04/2009 11:09

no just my work shoe, yesterday I got some pink Converse - like I used to wear owhen I was a student - think I am having a mid-youth crisis

right we're off to farm today to see the baby animals.

enjoy the sunshine all

simpson · 05/04/2009 11:55

On the bottle front DD still has 2 a day.

Breakfast and bedtime although TBH if she wasn't on prescribed formula which I have to get as much as possible into her I would be switching her to cups about now.

I did try her on cups a few weeks ago but she cut down on the milk too much.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 05/04/2009 12:25

Morning all..

My horse was leading until the 22nd or 23rd fence was in the gym and DH and I nearly shouted the place down Sad about the horse dying. It is one of those things that I find fun but there is a horrible side to it all.

Cant remember who asked re bottles. I plan to have x2 as everyone else one about mid morning and one before bed but in reality sometimes he has none and i add cheese to almost everything he eats and he eats cereal etc. He doesnt have enough really but deifnitely wont drink it from a cup so sticking with bottles altho he loves his water in a cup Am going to try to be better and make sure i give his evening bottle before bed. At ILs I know he will get milk tho as for some reason they seem to think milk is more important than food AGAIN

In the knowledge that I spend an awful lot of time moaning about DH I would like to share the lovliest things ever that he said to me this morning. We were talking about people staying together and he said there obv was a reason we were together so I pointed out that one of his friends and his wife have a terrible (IMO) estranged relationship etc and they are still together and he said that is because said friend could not look after himself and needed her to cook, clean etc he said that he is capable of doing all those things for himself so clearly there must be another reason and that was because clearly he loves me he isnt the type of person that says this very often and then he followed this up with the best bit ever he said that the boys love me and that i am a fantastic mother to them and he reiterated that he thinks i am a great mother. Then I cried

Lucky - DS2 is very tantrummy atm and it is getting me down too as I dont really know what to do since as you say nothing works. No real advice just sympathie.

LaTrucha · 05/04/2009 12:52

Lucky -Up, one, two, scream! Down, one two, scream! We have it here too - hope you're having a better day.

Mixedmama - that's lovely.

Angechica - you go girl! But try not to get any poo in that converse Loving Eurovision here too - although they do take it quite seriously in Spain

Gingeme - have the photos come yet?

Lilyloo- how are you? Can you let me know what happened withthe self-weaning? I missed what you said, just caught the drift.

Hi Housemum - sorry I forgot you last time!

JKS - trampoline sounds like a fab idea! hat are the crafty things for?

Madmouse - that's it, exactly! And especially with the 'food too hot' line.

Simpson - glad you had fun at the fair!

Sabela had an absolute howl in a shop yesterday. She had gas, I think and MIL took her from me (she was trying to help). Cue Sabela's silent cream, in which she opens her mouth into a perfect circle, breathes in deeply several times and turns bright red before wailing like a siren. She's doesn't do it often and never beofre out of the house. MIL was totally shocked as she thinks she is Sabela's favourite. I had to by a sppon in the shop as she found it and clutched it so hard I would have had to break her fingers to get it off her. Five minutes later it was ok.

Still having a tough time here, although I won't go into it as it must be totally boring for you. Basically, MIL just can't stop herself making bitchy comments, mainly to DH but yesterday to me (and I was really having a tough day yesterday too). We're going to try and make until to SIL's wedding on May 9th then we're running. DH now agrees with me that we can't go home before it as now neither of us would come back once we leave!

LuckySalem · 05/04/2009 16:16

Awww Mixed Mama - You have a brilliant husband there by the sounds of it

Today not as bad - she's sleeping at the mo and we haven't had a total meltdown. I think its cos we went out this morning.

LaTrucha · 05/04/2009 16:56

Can anyone tell me how to put a photo on my FB profile? I mean the thing people se when they search for your name. I can't find whatever it is you need to find to do it.

LaTrucha · 05/04/2009 17:10

My FB guru Madmouse has helped me. Not to worry.

madmouse · 05/04/2009 17:28

Madmouse - my mum isn't going to Oxford that day so will book coach but have just remembered coach goes from Hillingdon which is even closer than Heathrow!!

Ok sorry if this is TMI but we have had no poo today!!!

Can't work out what I have done different but wooo hooo!!!

Gingeme · 05/04/2009 17:52

Hi ladies.
Weve had a busy day at another farm we found though this was massive and had an adventure playground and 100acer woods attached with Poohs house and everything
Had a couple of disturbed nights with George. Can see the tip of his top canine so I think thats what the trouble is. He also has bitten DH a couple of times this weekend.
Yes we went to the BBQ yesterday and it was lovely thanks.
Oh madmouse that is so funny. Was you starving him then?
Awww mixedmamma so sweet. They do have their moments don't they?
LaT which photos? My glam ones are on their way and we are going to order our familt ones on Tuesday morning.
Oh ho ho Ange what a lovely gift for you your a lucky Mummy!
We havn't been to a fair in ages. Yes they are very expensive. We normally go to Chessington with all ds's in the summer for ds2's birthday. Hopefuly this year ds3 will be tall enough to go on all the rides. He has no fear which is more than can be said for me.
Well DH is calling dinners ready so best get the bibs.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 05/04/2009 19:24

oh ANGE - Eurovision yay... cannot wait. LaT I take it very seriously actually i am a rather avid supporter.
