Hope you find out soon JKS could well be down to the stress as gingeme says...

How is H doing ATM?

J went to bed beside himself with excitement as we are going to see milkshake tomorrow.

Have to take M with us which wasn't the original plan but hopefully she will be ok.

Gingeme · 01/06/2009 19:57

Welcome home Lillyloo
Oh Simpson of you going to see Milkshake. We saw it advertised at a theatre in Hastings. They were all sold out. Let us know what its like?

Lilyloo · 01/06/2009 20:02

Phew seems it's not been too busy on here!!!
Wow JKS seems like you have been through the mill with H but things are on the up ??? Can imagine a pg is not what you ready for right now.

Gingeme and MM glad you both had nice hols too! Ange shame you had to cancel did it turn out to be cp ??

Has Lucky gone awol ? Did her af come ??

LaT glad you getting sorted , must be easier to settle in with the nice weather too! Lol at the exercise bike

Nicky how long now ??? Sound like your organised anyway. I just couldn't imagine a new born with M at the minute so hats off to you!!

Simps , sorry things are so tough at the mo. Saw the changing lock post. Presuming you have said he can't come back ?

Well M was a little handful on holiday. Doesn't want to sit in pushchair and was happy to run off and climb everywhere. So hopefully didn't put on too much weight with chasing her. H and L had great time as they each had cousin there of same sex so they did their own thing.
Dp has now gone away for the week with work so i home alone so will likely be around a fair bit in between the ironing

simpson · 01/06/2009 20:13

welcome back lilyloo

Gingeme - will let you know, bought the tickets ages ago...

My friend saw it a few wks ago and said it was fab but lots of tears from various kids in audience whenever a character left the stage and said "goodbye"

JustKeepSwimming · 01/06/2009 20:28

Hey Lily - welcome back

Simps - we have tickets to Milkshake in July, well me & T, with friends (mums & toddlers). Dh having H, good luck taking the 2!!

H is fine, really. he only had an hour and a half nap at nursery, compared to 3 or 4 hours at home but although he was grumpy by 6pm, he was still awake until gone 7.15...maybe later, i stopped listening!
Will be 'interesting' to see how the next few days go: no Epilim, only a third dose of Keppra. and how his sleeps fit in with pre-school runs....

really not needing a pg right now, but part of me thinks it's fate/god/delete as appropriate's way of making sure we don't put off number 3 because of H's epilepsy.
i dunno, no sign at all of af today.
and i know stress can delay/stop OV (said it enough times to others on here) but really felt normal around that time, all usual signs. if stress was interfering with OV wouldn't it interfere with the signs too???

will wait a few days and test again - patience not my strong point!!!

well, got some ironing to finish off, then some trashy tv, then early to bed

nicky6 · 01/06/2009 21:02

actually lily not organised at all - we have done absolutely nothing if baby was to come early it has nothing apart from some of chalrie's clothing in the loft. it has no bed etc etc yet i have no bag packed etc then again last time i did it the night my waters broke (aweek early) whoops anyway trying to be a bit better because charlie here this time and dh is away in lincoln for work the last 2 weeks in june - due date 2/7/09 yikes who knows what will happen.

ANyway JKS quite likely to be stress given everything I went more than 40 days on a normally 30 day cycle when under lots of stress!

Lilyloo · 01/06/2009 21:07

Nicky you will be fine. Glad to know it wasn't just me the second time around lol!! I didn't even do a bag for M until couple days before (in temper albeit due to w/b looking out of the window)

JustKeepSwimming · 02/06/2009 06:46

AF here!

simpson · 02/06/2009 09:40

for you JKS!!

Nicky - another one here who was a bit lax to say the least over bag packing/buying stuff and mentally preparing for birth of DC2

J totally excited over today, don't know how I am going to contain him till 4.30

simpson · 02/06/2009 09:45

Also forgot to say, have not given M her calcium supplement for 24hrs and poo now normal...make from that what you will. Grrr...

Another trip to docs.

JustKeepSwimming · 02/06/2009 10:22

for you Simps. i mean if you need the the calcium supplement because you can't tolerate something, you really need NOT to have that thing in the supplement! duh to the docs!!

Nicky - i was sure ds2 would arrive 2 weeks early as ds1 had done so was ready then, then waited around for 2 weeks, lol. by which time some stuff had come out of the bag....

simpson · 02/06/2009 12:04

Just got back from chemist where pharmacist said the supplement would definately be a problem for her

Grrr...

Good news is i am stocking up on neocate and now have 8tins Just in case pead wants to stop it....

Gingeme · 02/06/2009 13:24

Afternon ladies.
Simpson we now know not to tell the boys of any plans till the day before for that exact reason. We are going to Tenerife in August and had the passports done and had to tell David why we needed them so from then on he didn't stop asking 'are we going on our aeroplane holiday today?'
Big phew JKS bet you never thought youd see the day you were actualy looking forward to getting your AF?
Does anyone here use Arnica cream? Iuse the little tablets for various things and bought some of the cream last week. George fell yesterday and somehow bruised his chin right underneath. I put some Arnica cream on it and it went purple/black almost straight away brill stuff.
Going to the travel agent later to pay the rest offour holiday. Going to make enquiries about euros/travelers cheques too

madmouse · 02/06/2009 15:15

Hi all

Just had news from Holland that MIL not doing good. She had pneumonia and she has now indicated (again) that she wants to stop her renal dialysis as she cannot cope anymore. They won't just stop it as that leads to a horrible death - but they will review week by week what they can still do. She also suffers with dementia.

She has asked for us and we have been advised to come this weekend. Waiting from calls back from our respective bosses but planning to drive over Thursday morning.

Am very upset and scared that a) DH will get very depressed and b) I am not strong enough to cope/support him atm.

He is upstairs in his study wanting to be alone and I am sat here sobbing.

JustKeepSwimming · 02/06/2009 15:17

Oh Madmouse

(((((hugs)))) by the bucketful for you and your DH.

Hope you can make it over there firstly.

Then deal with the emotional problems of it. I'm sure whilst you do not feel strong enough right now, you will find some inner strength to help DH through this.

simpson · 02/06/2009 19:09

madmouse - more hugs from me ((hugs))

This is just what you and DH don't need right now

Thinking of you, you know where I am if you need me....

LaTrucha · 02/06/2009 20:19

Very sorry Madmouse.

madmouse · 02/06/2009 20:53

LaT how are you? Missing you on fb!

OP posts:
Lilyloo · 02/06/2009 21:05

MM very sorry

JKS phew too

Simps lol at you stacking up the neocate might have to make some room in the loft

Have been attempting to catch up on some ironing today as evrything washed and dried and was getting ridiculous as couldn't mover for laundry. Neighbour took pity on me moaning and brought round her super fancy £200 iron, It's great am whizzing through it and now hate my iron even more

LaTrucha · 02/06/2009 21:13

LOL at iron envy!I am making a concerted effort to like ironing ATM and I have just bought a new iron even though my old one works (the steam had gone). I did buy quite an expensive one but in the sale but couldn't bring myself to buy a steam generator. I'm kind of regretting it now!

MM - I am ok. It's all a bit weird as after the initial shock of the diagnosis things have normalised. It's even harder now to think he's not going to be here long.

I'm not on the net much - or rather for very long each time as I'm still on 'project house' - clearing and tidying. I really want to decorate now - and learn to use my new drill! - but I can't until DH gets back as I need someone to entertain Sabela.

It's also quite hard going looking after the baby constantly. No one to feed her while I have a quick whizz round cyberspace ATM!

simpson · 02/06/2009 21:20

lilyloo - I know what you mean about hating certain household implements. I hate M's highchair with a passion as I swear an hour a day is wasted cleaning it

Not the tchibo ones thats at my mums. I have a mothercare one too. Going to get Ikea highchair I think, easier to clean.

milkshake big hit with J he loved it and grinned and clapped all the way through

Unfortunately M was a handful to say the least There was a little girl one row infront who was about the same age as M sitting calmly on her mum's lap during whole show looking pristine/clean etc.

While M bouncing around like a mad thing saying "up" or "down" and shoving crisps/banana in her mouth and wiping them in hair/clothes etc...

But she seemed to like it when they were singing and recognised "Fifi" (although there were tears when Fifi left stage) But when no singing she got quite bored...

My arms are knackered after holding her today, surely it will be easier when she is walking

AngeChica · 02/06/2009 21:44

V sorry to hear about your MIL Madmouse.

Simpson am starting to dread plane trip to Bulgaria in July, DS will only sit on lap if tired these days. Otherwise he will not stay still one moment!!! How the heck I am suppsed to entertain him all that time I don't know. Food the only prop I can think of(small boxes of raisins etc.). And hope he sleeps / plane not full.

DS so darn tall, he is bursting out of his 6-18 month grobag. Got an 18-36 month summer one in TKMaxx for 12.99 bargain!

Lilyloo · 02/06/2009 22:20

LaT as much as i love this one i would want it to iron without me for £200

Simps glad J liked it , M sounds just like M and no she isn't easier when walking (sorry)
Actually had convo today at pre school how very different M is to L. M is such a tom boy whilst L is such a girly girl, how ??

Ange i find M likes music things at the minute to keep her still for few seconds dd1 has a some old mcdonald music toys that you hold ot your ear might be worth try. Basically need a bag of tricks that you open one at a time!

simpson · 02/06/2009 22:28

Lilyloo - Nooooo...

I thought it would be easier!!!

Funnily enough was having chat with my dad today about J & M. J very placid, reserved, almost shy etc.

And M just total opposite

But J always been fine for me to leave him anywhere and M hates it

Yes ange would second bag of crap small toys and get one out every hour etc. Even wrap them if need to.

JustKeepSwimming · 03/06/2009 06:40

Ange - don't envy you the plan trip! we went to Majorca with T at 18months (ish), the way over we passed him between us, fed him loads of treat food, and had some toys too. just about ok.
the way back he was not well (woke up the last morning crying and with a temp) so spent the whole trip in a calpol haze - worked quite well actually

crap night, H was up crying at 10 (calpol), at 1-3 (more calpol) at 4.45 (neurofen), now in bed.

think i had 3hrs+ 1.45 hrs sleep. great.
T was amazing though and slept through it all.

Thinking it's the MumpsMR part kicking in? he is really complaining about his throat, any time he coughs or swallows he wails

it's hard to say what H's personality is like really with all his sleeping but they seem pretty similar to me so far, both pretty chilled & independent.
