JKS with you on the sleep front - fell asleep some time after 1am, woke at 4am from Nathan sleeping without grobag having his leg stuck between the cot bars again. stuck him in grobag and he went back to sleep. I didn't. Got more and more worked up until by 5am was in a total panic. Got up did not want to wake dh who has enough on his plate. Text a good friend who gets up at 5 for work and he was here by 6 to pray with me and calm me down bless him.

Now at work trying to get stuff done as full-time fellow manager on hols and I won't be there Friday. Eating rubbish and drinking coke to keep going

Madmouse

am drinking tea and trying not to eat rubbish here!

had a hot shower which woke me up a bit, i'll prob be fine until about 4ish then droop!

simpson · 03/06/2009 10:46

Madmouse - glad your friend was there for you

Dcs gave me a lie in and didn't start squawking for my attention till gone 9am

Wow i thought to myself as i went into J's room to find he had pooed in overnight nappy then taken it off himself as soon as he had woken (which he normally does)and there were small lumps of poo all over his bed.

*Then go into M's room to see she has managed to get hold of a pack of wet wipes (new) and pulled them all out and was sitting there looking very pleased with herself saying "wetwipe" over and over

Also M ate a few cheese and onion crisps yesterday without me realising so was greeted with horrid poo from her too.

For those of you looking for toys, Sabela is currently nuts about this. It's much cheaper than the fancy ones, but pretty much the same IMO and light enough for her to take out in the pram. Brill for those supermarket queue moments and for ................

Angechica - aeroplanes. I wouldn't stress about the journey too much. I've flown solo with Sabela twice now and it was fine. I think that sketcher would be good and at £3.89 it won't hurt too much if it's not. It's really light too. We had a bag of little toys - or things like pots and lids that she's currently obsessed with and we hardly needed to open it. Planes are in themselves fun places to be. Sabela spent most of the flight standing on my knee waving to all the people on the plane and I do mean every one of them. Individually.

Afternoon ladies
So sorry to hear of your news madmouse lots of non mn
Simpson I have been waiting to hear about how the show went. Sounds fab I'll have to look on the website to see if there are any dates near us. No it doesn't make it any easier when they are walking.
Lillyloo ironing whats that?
Ange I had this conversation with my Dad just this afternoon about entertaining the boys when we go to Tenerife. I second lots of toys and snacks too. We will have George on our laps but will be sure to walk up and down the aisle with each of them at some point. When we went a few years ago with my big boys, then 6 and 7, the flight attendant let ds1 help her with the drinks and he helped collect everyones rubbish at the end of the flight he loved it and it was a great start his holiday.
George said 'andad' today and when my big boys were here last week he said 'onnor' Connor is ds2's name.He also 'eows' when he sees pics of a cat and 'ooh ooh' when he sees trains. Clever little bum

simpson · 03/06/2009 17:02

LaT - that toy is a real hit here too

J got one from Santa last yr but M loves it and also the aqua draw.

LaTrucha · 03/06/2009 19:52

LoL Gingeme - Sabela moos when she sees a cow. V. Cute.

Oh no. I've been spending too much money on the house. [quakes in guilty fear of discovery emoticon]. I thought I was only buying cheap things too!

Gingeme · 03/06/2009 20:33

What have you bought LaT ? Spill the beans

Gingeme · 03/06/2009 20:38

foolishgadgets.com/200906/stainless-steel-baby-equipment-might-be-dangerous/

This is scary stuff!!

JustKeepSwimming · 03/06/2009 20:59

Bee-zarre G!!!

LaT - what have you been buying?? i'm sure it's all perfectly reasonable, just adds up though doesn't it!?

ahh 3 glasses of wine = fuzzy head.
off to bed soon, please please H sleep tonight (Calpol Night has been deployed).

Simps re J.... hope you have recovered!!!

right, last look around, then bed

Lilyloo · 03/06/2009 21:00

Evening all MM hope you feeling better now ? Or that you have managed an early night and you too JKS!
Just about to watch apprentice , late bedtimes herre with dp being away it is so much longer on my own!
Night all!

LaTrucha · 03/06/2009 21:16

Well, I'm only worried as I haven't done any of the big jons that need doing in the house (re-flooring the bathroom / painting the outside) and I've already spent around £350- £400 on things like curtains / curtain pole / lawn mower / drill / mirrors and picture frames / cushions.

IT probably is quite reasonable but I'm worried about DH taking one look and saying, 'But we haven't done XYZ...'. I have been working really hard though and not being too extravagant. I just want him to be really pleased and not

JustKeepSwimming · 03/06/2009 21:21

LaT - you could easily spend 400 on just one set of curtains, don't stress. sounds like you are keeping very on top of budget.
he will appreciate all the hard work - if not tell him how much work you've put in!

right, bed, now. go.

AngeChica · 03/06/2009 22:15

just swooping in to say thanks for the plane advice. Am hoping DS sleeps. Also have friend to help en route (DH is DRIVING there with a mate on a Man's trip across Europe).

Right we are doing controlled crying in earnest from tonight, as all else has failed, wish us luck!

PS new thread imminent!

Lilyloo · 03/06/2009 22:19

oh Ange good luck i can't believe he is still being a monkey , taking M away and putting her in her own room at opposite end of caravan reinforced how she could sleep on her own! She has been fine since coming home and she is still in our room
Hope he takes note

Lilyloo · 03/06/2009 22:25

January 2008 Shiny New Year Toddlers -

nicky6 · 03/06/2009 23:10

just caught up so no time to post. and really should be in bed as last night first night of charlie sleeping properly - oh my word cue noise of cries from charlie yikes am off to bed now no more posting maybe tomorrow

simpson · 04/06/2009 00:41

Lilyloo - am liking "oh for a minutes peace"

That gets my vote!!

AngeChica · 04/06/2009 06:34

Yes me too Lilyoo, very apt.

Well last night not too bad, 3am before he woke, intermittent crying / resettling till about 4am then up at 6.15. That's the first morning I've got him up from his own cot in many, many weeks, and am no more or less tired than usual

Mustn't be complacent, the next few nights will prob be worse!

madmouse · 04/06/2009 07:45

right - going to dress Nathan and pack up last things then off. Nervous about what we will find.

At least slept 1-7 but feeling more tired than yesterday

Ange did cc with Nathan at 11 months never looked back - brilliant. Nowadays he does in wide awake drops off when he is ready and you see him again the next morning - hang on to that!

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 04/06/2009 08:28

Madmouse - good luck.

Ange - well done for Night 1. Good luck for the next few. isn't it night 3 that's meant to be the toughest?when they really test how tough you are

Another crap night with H - DH meant to be helping but tbh he didn't.
I came down at 5.30 to find T up too, great. H crying and DH going to the loo. No blankie for H and no meds given (normal meds i mean). i sort him out with blankie (which of course was right there) and some neurofen, cuddle hima dn he falls asleep on me

oh well, i did get to go back to bed for a bit, but still sooooo tired
will give him some calpol in a mo and hope he sleeps this morning.

Don't forget to vote everyone

simpson · 04/06/2009 09:50

Morning all

Busy day here again today.

While J is at pre school i have got to go into town and drop off the last of the paperwork for IS claim.

Then it is just a waiting game for how much money i get.

Also got loads of shopping to do etc...

And yes must try to squeeze voting in too.

Ange - glad last night not too bad, hopefully tonight is more of the same.

Madmouse - good luck!!

Lilyloo · 04/06/2009 20:00
