Can someone please add "our babies" as my machine will probably blow up if I try it

Thanks TSC. Maybe Sam really isn't as behind as I think he is. Maybe it's my strange brain's way of processing things at the mo

afternoon all

rofl at Scorpio - oh to be 24 again! ANd to eat what you had for lunch I had 2 slices of toast. My 31 year old ass cannot carry a burger and chips all in one sitting - I would have to hit the gym hard after that

Soph I osted for you n the old thread.

Anyone else notice that Soph28 (mum of Robyn) is one the the costa rica girls in the guise of thatsnotmymnster? I am actually not jealous, I chose not to enter that part as I wuldn't have wanted to be away (thank God no Xenia I'd get a lecture for that LOL), but good on her!

DonDons · 13/11/2008 15:49

(I also had 4 biscuits - but I didn't enjoy them so they don't count)

ThePFJ · 13/11/2008 15:49

good idea peachy thanks

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 13/11/2008 15:51

I am not mourning my pre cild figure- I was far slimmer 6 months before Bas than before kis! But I culdn't conceive until I gained a dress size- but then I eat very healthily, just ots, and have t cut back on everything to keep my weight under size 14 iykwim.

Soph73 · 13/11/2008 15:52

Peachy - just realised I replied to you on the other thread ... derrrr! Who are the costa rica girls?

OP posts:
PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 13/11/2008 15:54

Won trips to costa rica in a MN comp, their thread is in active conversations at the moment

Soph73 · 13/11/2008 15:56

Can't remember the last time I was under a size 14 Actually I can - my wedding, which was just over 7 years ago now All downhill from there on LOL

Soph73 · 13/11/2008 15:57

Oooo lucky things

OP posts:
PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 13/11/2008 15:59

On my wedding day I was the biggest ever, size 18. I'd only had Sam 3 months and the dress was too big as I'd had to go shopping with him and just flew into Jon Lewis and got something suitable....hardly the frock I imagined (which is probably why I get so excited about dresses these days)

scorpio1 · 13/11/2008 16:01

I was 30 weeks on mine

scorpio1 · 13/11/2008 16:02

but i mourn 'proper' wedding dresses

scorpio1 · 13/11/2008 16:07

Soph73 · 13/11/2008 16:34

Morning. Blimey you lot were quiet last night - what happened? I don't know whether I'm coming or going today. Sam was awake most of the night He finished his course of antibiotics for his cough - which worked great - on Monday. By last night we were back to square one again. We've got a docs appointment on Mon but that means I'm going to get no sleep over the weekend and we're going to friends tomorrow night. Hey ho!

OP posts:
TheShipsCat · 14/11/2008 12:30

Hi Soph - so sorry to hear abut Sam. We're in the same boat. I woke A by mistake last night, then she woke dd1 and they carried on waking each other up most of the night. DD1 has a horrible cold and is miserable, and we are going away for the weekend, and all going to share a room. So I'm expecting no sleep now till Monday!

Good news here though! I have finally found someone who can install our new bathroom! Its affordable, he knows what he's doing and he can start Monday . Soon our kids will be clean!!! And that also means we can make dd1s room bigger and put them both in there, and we get our office back. It's All Good.

Soph73 · 14/11/2008 12:44

TSC - at least I've got someone to commisserate (sp?) with I can't even get jollied up by the fact that it's pizza for lunch & that's one of my favourites after chips Pleased to hear that you'll be able to clean the kids soon, I guess that's preferable than them looking like something out of "Oliver" Not that I'm suggesting that any one of us incredibly fantastic mothers would allow that to happen you understand.

OP posts:
TheShipsCat · 14/11/2008 12:51

Aah, its pizza day and you are not happy? It's tough being tired, isn't it... Do you think its just the same cough that Sam has or something else?

And, ahem, yes, the kids do look a bit like something out of Oliver. Well, urban Oliver meets country / hippy kids with second hand, stained clothes, dirty faces and wild hair! So a bathroom is exciting stuff, rather than letting them trash our ensuite having to dip them in a bowl in the kitchen...

Soph73 · 14/11/2008 13:26

TSC - I think it's the same cough, as he sounds exactly the same as he did before starting the antibiotics.
When our water pump broke we made DS1 stand in the baby bath while we chucked a couple of buckets of water over him!! He actually though it was quite good fun It was not fun for us though having to shower in freezing cold water.

OP posts:
TheShipsCat · 14/11/2008 14:27

The bowl in the kitchen has been fun for them, but less fun for us, as its a bit too messy!
Was the pizza good?

Soph73 · 14/11/2008 14:37

I can imagine
Actually, it was very nice thanks. I was feeling slightly awake a bit earlier but I seem to have been knocked over again by a ginormous wave of tiredness. I know I'm moaning but not ever having to deal with sleepless nights I'm a bit of a wimp when they happen ... sorry.
