What a nightmare time you are having. I hope your boss listens to you re the work load. Can you not say something to dh about spending his 'spare' time with you and not out with mates/at concerts etc.

AprilMeadow · 23/10/2008 20:48

doh! glass not lass!

TheGreatScootini · 23/10/2008 21:00

Have said plenty, rest assured! But I guess he is having no fun either doing his revision all the time so needs an outlet too.

grabs bottle, dispenses with glass, desperate times call for uncooth measures>gets into bed with large slab of virtual cake kindly supplied by AM

AprilMeadow · 23/10/2008 21:07

9pm thats madness! I would deffo send a cheque.

YEs i guess he does need some down time, but when do you get yours? Not like you are sat on your arse (like me)all day with nothing better to do.....

Enjoy your cake x

JamInMyWellies · 23/10/2008 21:13

No worries Scoot, just been texting TYG and she has suggested we try do it wk after next. Hows that suit you? Hope work gets easier. x

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/10/2008 21:19

Scoot - you sound like you're having an absolutely shitty time. Definitely have a word with your boss.

Wedding not until 29th November but we could get smashed have a few drinks as an early virtual hen night

Pinkjenny · 24/10/2008 09:29

Scoot - calm down, you need to look after yourself. Speak to your boss, and if you get nowhere, we'll draft a strongly worded grievance. You just can't do a full time workload squeezed into three days, nor should they expect that of you. Man up, and tell them it has to stop. You will be no good to anyone in a heap in the corner. ((hugs)) to you.

ShowOfHands · 24/10/2008 11:44

Scoot

Obviously not in Cambridge today. You can blame DH's cocking job if you want. Bloody police.

MKGisHavingaGirl · 24/10/2008 13:23

Oh Scoot--I'm so sorry you're having it rough. Stop trying to everything. It's impossible to get it all done. Pick what you need to do and don't worry about the rest. I hope your boss is receptive to you.

VASTlargeginandbloodymary · 24/10/2008 14:49

Scoot my lovely much love to you xxx

Email your addy, i only have the #12 one and you have moved since then.

I may bake 1 cake.... how can i not? SOH are you coming next weekend?

Oooh look who's back

ShowOfHands · 24/10/2008 14:54

Depends largely upon DH's cocking job. He will be home in a couple of hours so will point at him and be all fishwifey.

Just been for a stroll round the farm. Tis a lovely day. Few pics on fb.

MKGisHavingaGirl · 24/10/2008 16:17

Well I'm spent. Between trying to figure out a name for this bean (it was soo easy with the boys) and making pumpking muffins. I'm spent.

I spent all day yesterday cleaning, and doing laundry because I was showing the house. These 80 yo people came, looked at the stairs, said, "we can't get up those" and left. I mean come on. I went to work, and got home at 10pm had a terrible nights sleep only to be woken up by my terrorists.

So what do I do. I make muffins.

Oh and Cruz hurt himself again. I was vacuuming the stairs, he came up behind me and stuck his fingers in the vacuum. Tore the skin right off his knuckles poor boy.

He is the one I worry about, because he has no fear. I can so see him getting into X-treme sports when he's older.

elkiedee · 24/10/2008 16:39

Scoot, sorry to hear you're having such a horrid time.

Sounds like Cambridge didn't happen today. If you manage to convene a Cambridge meet up for another day, do let me know. Not sure if I'm going to be able to take leave to do anything except sort out our house/what should be ds's bedroom at the moment.

AprilMeadow · 24/10/2008 18:22

Ella just came into the study with her potty and sat on it clutching at her nappy. Decided to take it off and she did big wee on it!!!! Am so proud! Jack didnt master a wee until he was over 2!

ShowOfHands · 24/10/2008 18:30

Aww she's a good girl. Grown up.

AprilMeadow · 24/10/2008 18:37

Your pictures on FB are lovely SOH! M looks so much like you.

ShowOfHands · 24/10/2008 18:51

Nah, she's lovely to look at. Won't have her compared to me. She does love the farm. We were out feeding the horses today in her newly knitted red coat. It's only so long until she refuses the homemade creations I feel.

OP posts:
AprilMeadow · 24/10/2008 18:58

You knitted her beautiful cardy.... i want one!

ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 24/10/2008 20:06

I am sooooo tired. Our guests go tomorrow and it has been non stop. Also I am very because one of our Ayahs in Cameroon died yesterday of diabetes and she was only 37.

I ran another 10 kms this morning and am racing on Sunday morning at 7.30am think of me whilst you are all enjoying an extra hour in bed.

Scoot, work sounds dreadful. There must be answer there somewhere. How much longer does dh have to do on the studying?

Til, that the dress will be turning up. Have we seen a pic ?

Charley, you alright over there in pork pie land?

AprilMeadow · 24/10/2008 20:06

Those of you that have Creena on FB should take a look at the piccies of baby Eion. Totally gorgeous

Tillyscoutsmum · 24/10/2008 20:52

SOH - the pics are so cute.... Intelligent and gorgeous - she has it all The red coat looks massively scrummy

I don;t have Creena on FB. Probably a good job - looking at pics of cute newborns is not a good plan at the moment. I have a dress to get into, don't you know

TMAM - about your Ayah. 37

AM - clever Ella

TheGreatScootini · 25/10/2008 11:21

Morning all..
DH came home lst night and grumbled because the girls hadnt yet had their bath.Que me flouncing out.Where did I flounce to?Sadder than sad.Went to Tesco and did the big shop..In Tesc on a Friday night. Its all jsut too too lame.
Dh apologised profusely when I got back.Whatever..

He will if he passed these exams be done studying in Jan..then a sort of case study paper (which you can revise for in March)I know its not a long time (assuming he passes, he will most likely collapse in a reck if he doesnt as will I), but it seems it at the moment and something will have to give pretty soon..Will talk to boss next week, we need to plan stuff anyway as my deputy at one service is away all of December on holiday and the one at the other wants to go back to her previous role elsewhere.

Am having to go into work tomorrow so have had to cancel night out with the girls tonight (there is no chance of me beign ablke to get everything done tomorrow that I need to with any kind of hangover which is what I would have)

Bar have cancelled on me for DH's birthday so am scouring interweb for replacement. It would have to be in December when everyone chargers thriple!(Is thriple a word?Or do I mean Treble? Thriple is a better word anyway!)

Blimey..L has only just mastered toilet training, never mind M.My kids must be backwards

L and M both asleep.I regard this as a great success..We are doing Halloween decorating later, which will involve making a mess with paint and glitter. Then we might walk into town where will very probably buy self a cream horn.

thegreatscooscreamy · 25/10/2008 11:25

Here, lets see if my halloween name change worked..

thegreatscooscreamy · 25/10/2008 11:25

Is best could come up with under duress

ShowOfHands · 25/10/2008 11:37

Cream horn? The mind boggles.

You poor ol' sausage. Do you want to run away to a farm to convalesce? I don't think your health is benefitting from all this stress lovely. You are pushing yourself too hard. Come hither forthwith. Bring long skirts for striding through the mist of a morning. I will prepare broth and arrange outings to the coast for candy floss therapeutic inhalation of sea air.

How come all of your children nap? Tank hasn't napped for months and months. She's on the go from 8 til 8.

Oh and bugger Halloween name changes, I haven't the intellect these days.
