Trace, I'd call them anyway; even if it's just to get some more reassurance. With Chloe's history they won't mind I'm sure.

Poor thing. give her a wee cuddle from me

OK, I am off to bed. Here's hoping for a good night for Trace and family. (And everyone else, of course )

Riaonabroomstick · 15/09/2008 20:50

poor chloe. I remember an elerderly GP telling me flat coke (full fat) aws good for rehydrating, but I would go for reassurance if you feel you need it. I wish I had more to offer.

daisy, we have had a couple of Feb half term midweek breaks, and an end of Sept weekend here. The pool and soft play aren't the best in the world but at least they are there! We were very lucky with the weather though, and did morning s int he pool then drove to Gretna (outlet centre and castrle with nature trail a bit further on), Keswick etc (pencil Museum?). We had a chalet rather than a caravan - they have baths! Pre-baggins of course. I believe Kielder Forest is nice? I would love to go to CP but we can't afford it. Probably ever.

hi sputnik & bumper.

we went to whitby today, just for a couple of hours. I didn't enjoy it.The other weekend we spent an hour in Knaresborough after visiting MIL and it was the nicest hour I've had in AGES.

Riaonabroomstick · 15/09/2008 20:57

I am . Just skimmng local newspaper website for jobs for DH and founs an ad for "Adult film industry actors".

DH is not applying.

TALLULAHBELLE · 15/09/2008 21:17

Trace - I'm with the others. Go to A&E it'll put your mind at rest. After all Chloe's been through you don't want to wait till Thurs, its far too far away.

All the talk of hols is making me . Dh claims (tho it's easy to say now) that he was planning to whisk me & DD off to Tuscany for a week for my 40th ahem 30th birthday in Dec. Looks like that's off the cards then .

Foxy - Still not sure about buggies. Had looked at possibility of buggypod but imagine it would make for a wide load. Think was someone on the multiples that said pod made things hard to manoeuvre cos toddler puts all weight on one side. Likewise with P&T putting all weight in front. Must be a perfect solution out there. Maybe single buggy, buggypod, sling.

Poor Chloe
Hope things improve tomorrow Trace, sounds like a good idea to get her looked at again.

justbeme · 15/09/2008 21:21

Sorry to hear about poor Chloe Trace - hope you get it sorted.

Ok - so Im after the Motherease Nappy Wrap in a large or extra large - doesnt matter about colour. Would like 2 if possible.
Max price £3.20 Will pay postage (shouldnt be much when taken out its box!!).

So perhaps Foxy can have a look for me and Jammy's DH ?? (if I end up with 4 its not the end of the world!!).

Thanks!!!

I was looking at a new oven in comet today and saw a really nice hoptpoint one for £650. I thought DH will freak at that price so just did a quick internet search and can get the very same oven for £430 from Boots, plus £34 in advantage points . We are ordering it at the weekend. I will be able to cook more elaborate meals than casseroles again...woooohoooooo.

OH! Couscous, I geddit! bless him. That is so cute!

TALLULAHBELLE · 15/09/2008 21:39

Storm - never been to the science centre. Weather a bit crap for the Botanics but Transport Museum & Kelvingrove always good for rainy days. North of Border group due a meet up soon - will let you know. Last time we went to Winter Gardens @ People's Palace.

TALLULAHBELLE · 15/09/2008 21:46

Ah I get the couscous thing now. Bit slow me! Funny how they hear snippets of conversation & react. My dad was wittering on as he pottered about & said let's put the telly back off. DD did her fake cough which always makes us say awww DD's got a bad cough.

Have met some very nice folk on the Northern thread. Is very slow moving too so easy to dip in & out of. Love the post-natal club of course but the threads do move at a cracking pace. Talking of which am off to bed with my ovaltine. Can't say I don't live life on the edge.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/09/2008 22:27

lol at couscous storm; that's really sweet.

DD is officially named hurricane baby in this house. Although she is temporarily thwarted by the gate finally getting properly fixed to the wall in the kitchen. She is not a happy bunny . Strangely enough she has taken this weekend to calling DH "Mum" and shouting it at him very loudly......silly girl.

Am waiting for the cat to come in and then I'm off to bed too......

Have just got back from A&E

I have frigging PLUERISY

I feel poo.

Storm - we are looking at going in mid/late March (either the 13th or the 20th for 1 week). Yes I know it's miles away but the cabins that accept dogs fill up very quickly!

It would be GREAT if we could meet up, plenty of opportunities for inane chat while the LO's amuse themselves in the playground, we can sit and have coffees and stuff, it would be lovely

LackaDAISYcal · 16/09/2008 09:59

fury....and the reason they didn't figure this out when you were actual in hospital was........?

rest up and I hope you feel better soon. Are you on antibiotics for it? My mum had it when she was young and said it was one of the most painful things she's had to endure, outside of childbirth!

Another fecking shoite night here. I get about two decent night's sleep a week at the minute. I can't function on no sleep....slept in big time as well and had to run to school stuffing cheese sarnies down DSs face on the way as we had no time for breakfast. How the feck I'm going to manage with a baby thrown into the mix as well I just don't bloody know.

And I need to do a supermarket shop as we have nothing in the house to eat.

Storm the safari park sounds like a great idea, we'll be in for that too. We went this time around and DS loved it, very happy to go back.
I also love group holidays, I used to get called a Redcoat as I was always trying to organise group holidays with bunches of mates, the more the merrier, but some people don't seem to enjoy the idea so much. Expense was usually the main issue. A few years ago I organised 10 people to go on a houseboat, and the following year I organised a few of us to go skiing in NZ, it was awesome! I really love holidaying with friends.

Daisy they didn't miss it, I didn't really have it when I saw them before. Well that's what they say but to be honest I think I was starting to get it.
I was prescribed codiene to stop me coughing so much and help me sleep - but because I stopped coughing, the gunk in my lungs had settled and wasn't being cleared, so I got pluerisy.

I have now been given mega painkillers that won't stop me coughing.

I am in a fair bit of pain. TBH it just feels a bit like a broken rib with a cough to boot. I am feeling rather sorry for myself.

HellHathNoFury · 16/09/2008 11:15

Storm - me again.
here does discounts for centre parcs. I used the code PPPZ last time I went and I think it still works. Most of the discounts only seem to work for the short breaks, not the week long ones, so you might be in luck.

I loved it so much we are spending christmas 2009 there

Sputnik · 16/09/2008 11:38

Bloody hell Fury, are you going to have to go back into hospital?

Not sure what we can do in Rome as it'll depend whether it'll be just me or the whole tribe. There's a nice restaurant near the Spanish Steps though that does a good buffet lunch for 15 euros. It would probably have to be a daytime thing.

Sputnik · 16/09/2008 11:41

Apparently you can break a rib coughing.
Just wanted to cheer you up
