Good luck jammy, I hope she's ok.

I am turning off for the night as I'm not exactly setting a good example to DSS who is going PC cold turkey while he's with us.

Here's to a healthy new week...

Ohforfoxsake · 14/09/2008 21:28

No knowledge here Jammy, just to say I have taken low temps before, when one has felt warm, but thermometer says differently. Do you have another thermometer? Are you using an ear one or forehead?

LittleMissNorty · 14/09/2008 21:30

Don't know anything about low body temp Jammy but I asusme she's wearing something warm? We have just gone back to babygro's or jammys but am still on 1 tog sleeping bags.

Hi all...I'm the same with friends....virtual is much easier, and I can tell you lot things I don't tell anyone else

DH came home VERY drunk Friday evening and spewed his lamb pasanda ALL over the bathroom at 2am....which he then attempted to clear up....and I did clear up at 2am....had to throw the bath mat away ....

bollox. What happened there?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/09/2008 21:33

She's in jammies and an unlabelled but feels a bit thicker than her 1 tog bag. We were given it, I am wondering if it is an old and worn 2 tog bag? It was ear temperature I took. Am now going to check again...

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/09/2008 21:34

Oh and shame on your DH, Fairy!

LittleMissNorty · 14/09/2008 21:34

NHS direct is a good move - I've always found them reassuring.....you won't sleep properly otherwise

LittleMissNorty · 14/09/2008 21:36

He did apologise (profusely) in the morning....and it was his leaving do from work so I kept my mouth shut (a bit)

Ohforfoxsake · 14/09/2008 21:37

shame on your DH Norty. Hope you took a photo of his sorry state!

how is she doing Jammy?

LittleMissNorty · 14/09/2008 21:38

Never thought of a photo.....37 going on 17

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/09/2008 21:40

It's continuing to come back to normal (high 35 now, so gone up a degree in an hour) so I feel reassured. And her hands are warm and her cheeks are glowing. So it either was a bad reading (though as I said I did check twice in each ear) or it was temporary drop and she's now back to normal. So i think I'll leave her be unless she wakes again and check in the morning.

Ohforfoxsake · 14/09/2008 21:45

hope she's OK Jammy.

I'm off now, cup of hot milk and bed for me.

night all

LittleMissNorty · 14/09/2008 21:46

Good news Jammy - perhaps she just needed the window pulling to....I have always been told that cold babies complain but hot ones don't....and have always kept DD / her room on the cooler side that others....

Hope she's ok x

LackaDAISYcal · 14/09/2008 21:52

evening all. chatty today and i've missed it all!

jammy, has the lens on your ear thermometer got any muck on it? that could give a ficticious reading. Agree that 34.7 seems very low indeed. Have you got a back-up thermometer? I generally just use the wee forehead strips. We have a rectal one (which I was advised is the most accurate), but I can't bring myself to use it up poor DDs bum!

lovely frock and shoes DKMA...and well foxy, what can I say, you slut

fury if I was closer......

hey norty........shame on your DH; expecting a woman in your condition to deal with adult puke! I hope he was feeling suitably ill and humbled today!

I've finished the reorganisation of the wardrobes in our room....yay . Now we have to figure out where the hell we are going to put the crib. We had it at the end of the bed before, but have a new, longer bed so it's a bit small to have it there and still be able to walk aroud the bed.

what are you plans for London Storm?

Ouch for DD Daisy. Made me cringe as I read that, poor wee mite.

Hope the Jamlet is OK today.

Ohforfoxsake · 15/09/2008 10:50

You know how if you go to the supermarket really really hungry you buy loads of food which you don't really want or need?

Well, one day a month Mother Nature tells me in no uncertain terms that that day would be a really really good day to make a baby. And so I ended up with sluttish underwear (amongst a few other things ).

I will now have to wait until the appropraite day next month to open that package, or I will be horrified!

Ohforfoxsake · 15/09/2008 11:18

oh I'm bored. Waiting for shopping delivery. No food in, so can't even cook tea.

And wittering on to myself.

Suppose I could tidy up a bit ...

are you going to Harrods on the 3rd then? We are going in December.

The museums are nearby.

Are you coming down for the weekend?

We are doing Halloween at Chessington on the 1st or 2nd. It is quite scary. I was a little freaked out. The kids seemed to be OK though.

I think its until about 7.30 if I remember rightly. Last year was good, it was empty and they did it well.

HellHathNoFury · 15/09/2008 12:06

Ahhh I can't wait to do santa at harrods/selfridges with DS. But I think he's a bit young to 'get' it this year.
Still I say that but I am surprised sometimes by how much he DOES get.
