foxythesnowfox · 22/08/2008 22:08

hoooo??? don't know what you are talking about Daisy. Will have to google it.

hoveeee? hoovering? nope, its lost on me.

Don't worry JBM, I'm just being an arse, you are not being thick. Sorry.

foxythesnowfox · 22/08/2008 22:10

Steve Redgrave? Or DP?

DPs not a 6 footer. Perhaps around the middle

I mean his stomach ...

Izzybel · 22/08/2008 22:12

It is also known as vacuuming Foxy! HTH

justbeme · 22/08/2008 22:14

I shall have to live another day to find out Foxy!!
Am off for a cuddle and a glass of wine !!

Night night xx

(plus I can hear the odd cry from upstairs!!)

Izzybel · 22/08/2008 22:15

Enjoy your glass of wine JBM! Pour one for me

foxythesnowfox · 22/08/2008 22:23

OH! I'll leave a note for the cleaner.

Thanks

foxythesnowfox · 22/08/2008 22:26

He's no one special JBM. Not famous. Really, you aren't missing anything.

Am not really looking forward to him coming home for a week. Would rather he stayed away. The children will find it hard to say goodbye to him again. It will be worse than the first time. And I won't be able to give them a Wii to soften the blow.

LittleMissNorty · 22/08/2008 22:29

I'm surprised they do that Foxy....fly him home for a week to turn around and go straight back....must work havoc with your body clock.....I'd rather do it in one hit then have a month off work

Right bed for me....night all x

Bumperlicious · 22/08/2008 22:32

Evening all, just posting to save the thread. Off to bed xxx

LackaDAISYcal · 22/08/2008 22:34

I thought you had the Wii foxy?

I know how tough it is on mine when DH pops off for just a few days, never mind weeks at a time . DD spends Monday mornings wandering around the house shouting DaDa and knocking on the "office" door, bless her and every time a car pulls up outside she is on the windowsill looking to see if it's him

OP posts:
Izzybel · 22/08/2008 22:38

Aww, bless her Daisy. That sounds so sad .
DP is setting up his own business so he's going to be working away alot soon. I'm dreading it!

LackaDAISYcal · 22/08/2008 22:46

I quite like it Izzy; it's just the kids I feel for

OP posts:
Izzybel · 22/08/2008 22:57

I don't think that DD will notice, lol! Although she loves it when he gets home from work. She gets really excited when she sees him! I reckon she will be a proper Daddy's girl when she is older.

Bumperlicious · 23/08/2008 08:46

Definite daddy's girl here too, but then DH looks after her 3 days a week. She will go to us equally when she is upset, which is nice.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/08/2008 09:41

morning bumper

I was thinking about you and DH the other day. What happened about his job? Did they bakc down on the part time issue?

I had a lovely lie in this morning and got what must have been a decent sleep last night as I only remember waking up once in the night...and DH was already uout of ben and dealing with grumbly DD.

She is off her food this morning. She has only had about an inch of milk and a few mouthfuls of cereal. She was fine with a piece of chocolate though

there is something strange going on outside today and I'm frightened.......
The sky has changed colour.
Everything has a big black shape next to it which mirrors its own shape.
There is a big yellow ball in the sky which hurts my eyes when I look at it.
The ground isn't wet...
'tis very wierd.
Does anyone know what's going on, and is it happening with you as well?
Also, is it safe to go outside

I don't know daisy, I'm finding it blinding, and feeling like I want to take my cardie off (theoretical speaking, obviously I'm not actually dressed yet!). So yes, same here. I think it is that very rare phenomenon Bankus Holidus Brilliantis.

DH went to the see the lawyer at the Union. He thinks DH has a very good case. Basically Wanking Ho Scum haven't followed proper procedure since DH first applied for flexible working, the want to put a clause in his contract that says he has to cover management at 48 hours notice, which is discriminatory because he physically can't because of dd, and the reason they say it's not going to work is that there is a lad training to be a supervisor and they want to move him to another store - well tough, that's nothing to do with DH's case.

Apparently they are known for their "business practices" . Anyway, this guy things dh has a good case, he is appealing, then if they still refuse he will have to resign on the spot (v important apparently) and take them to court for constructive dismissal. He doesn't think it'll come tp that though, he thinks they'll back down. I almost hope they don't. I want to sue the bastards!

LackaDAISYcal · 23/08/2008 10:25

lol bumper....at sue the bastards and "bankus holidus brilliantus"

I hope that things work out for him; whichever way it goes.....and if I were him I'd be tempted to be looking for another job anyway.

OP posts:
Bumperlicious · 23/08/2008 10:36

He always is looking daisy, it's the getting that is a problem. A BSc in Psychology then 6 years stuck in TossWank hell doesn't qualify you for much...

foxythesnowfox · 23/08/2008 11:35

That's great news Bumper! Am very pleased for your DH getting the Unions support is really important. The little people take on THE
BIG corp
oratIONs. Yay!

sorry, dd helpng me type ,sigh

Sputnik · 23/08/2008 12:21

Morning all, sorry to love and leave last night, I was hijacked by DH.

Norty, you are like us, 1 server, 1 desktop, 2 laptops + various handheld devices. The only member of our family not in front of the computer at the moment is Baby Sputnik.

I think Fury has more computers though IIRC.

foxythesnowfox · 23/08/2008 12:22

'hijacked', huh?

Sputnik · 23/08/2008 12:23

Sorry about your dog Izzy, must be really hard.

Sputnik · 23/08/2008 13:44

Well he wasn't armed with a boxcutter or anything Foxy, but he was looking pretty determined

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/08/2008 15:32

Oooh, that's good news about your DH Bumper. Hope he gets justice!

And Jamlet just took her first steps with the baby walker this afternoon I am a very proud mummy. She is howling at the moment though because I had the cheek to put her in the cot as we thought she was tired and in need of a nap!

foxythesnowfox · 23/08/2008 15:57

whoo-hoo for Jamlet!

LOL Sputnik!
