That's great Jammy. You know it's down hill from here right?

I'm hoping that she'll progress from walking with the walker to walking unaided within the next 3 weeks. My parents are coming to visit that weekend and it'd be lovely for them to see her walking.

DH had promised me a take away tonight, but I could tell he wasn't keen, so I settled for going to Sainsburys and getting pizzas and yummy pudding and juice so we can make tequila sunrises And he did put a picture up in the kitchen for me. We bought it at auction, only about 4 years ago!

Greetings and salutations all!

Izzy - you poor thing, i know EXACTLY how you feel, we have just started hunting for a new home for our dog. I love him so much but he costs us more than the car, he costs us about £350 per month in walking costs, vets bills and medication for his allergies and we just can't afford it anymore since I took a pay cut. I am very very sad.

DS has a cold or something and is teething, cue the worlds grumpiest baby. He has been sobbing ALL DAY, poor little mite.
However, he has learned how to kick his football now which is quite fun.

Holly, wear the dress and the support, the legging thing won't be in fashion forever and you might look back and cringe!

and as for me... erm... I got very drunk the other night, very hungover yesterday. Business as usual.

bumper we are having a very similar problem here with part time working!
DH needs to be part time because he is at university, and because of all the hospital stuff, and work agreed to it at first, but now are rotering him on for at least 5 hours more than he is contracted to do in a week. when we upped his hours to compenstate (because they said the reason was they had a staff shortage) they then gave him 5 hours ONTOP of the extra hours they had added on to his contract to make up for the staff shortage (does that make sense? hard to explain)
when he flagged it up, they made a rude remark about always working over time when needed due to the clause in his contract saying if needed he would work extra hours when the cinema needed it.
but every week?
grrr
and what with the hospital and uni we are not seeing him at all!

Hi Natty. Sorry to hear about DH's work problems. Arse! Fingers crossed for you on the late fron though [excited]. So what is the latest news from the hospital, or tell me if I'm being too nosey?

something i cant pronouce, which means there is a growth on one of his kidneys. means its blocked up with old urnie and blood, causing the pain, they dont know if thats whats causing the diarorh, but it is possible that that is being caused by the pain itself.

Hey Fury - I hope to have the same news sometime later in the week (about the hangover)

Oh Natty! Is there no bloody compassion in the World? FFS. Presumably DH works for a large company, not an independent? Is he in a Union? No real words of wisdom, but as I always bang on about these things, stand up to the piss-takers! for you.

Would your cycle have returned to normal? Do you think you might be? Sit tight honey. Can you give it a week or two? Or go to the docs for a test? With two small children, hmm, OK, no!

And what news of DHs health? Any progress?

X-posts there Natty. So what will happen next?

Report
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 23/08/2008 19:51

Natty, hope they can do something to sort him out.

OK, after several unsucessful attempts we are finally going to watch Casino Royale on DVD. So must go, pizza and Daniel Craig are waiting Oh, and DH!

Report
NattyThomasAndEllen · 23/08/2008 19:55

no idea. we only found out what was wrong cos they sent him a letter by mistake, that was supposed to go to the doc surgery.
Fecking doctors!

im gonna have to wait till friday, my docs wont do tests, they tell you to go get a home test! so rude!!

We are wiiing!

Izzy, forgot to say, sorry about your dog. I hope you feel better about it soon.

Natty, arse about DH, (fecking GPs!) and crap about his job. Hope you get some good news this week though...

foxythesnowfox · 23/08/2008 20:07

sure it was a mistake? We get sent copies of the hospital letter to the doctor.

Do Family Planning clinics still exist? They used to be quite helpful, oohh 22 years ago when I needed them.

Oh fucking hell. 22 years ago. please tell me I can't do sums (38 - 16)

aww foxy! dont worry we wont tell... shhh!

my cycle may well have returned straight back to normal, some people have fallen within 3 weeks of a miscarrige, apparently you are as fertile as you are just after having a baby!
i think im better to wait, cos if i get a negative i wont believe it till i come on, however if i am pregnant im taking vitamins anyway so im not doing no harm by not knowing? and if i test on friday and get a positve i will be past the point i miscarried at last time.. so stops me worrying i guess.

Foxy, just unlocked the penguin game (I'm winning! Pretty good at it but very stressful!) and the snowboarding (I'm shite!). Can't beat DH on the ski jump though, any tips? I've done 45 mins today!

Report
foxythesnowfox · 23/08/2008 20:42

nah, I don't spend nearly enough time on it. Can't go on it during the day because I won't get a look in once its on, and if I put it on now the kids'll be up wanting a go.

I like the penguine game too. Wonder if we can send each other our Mii's? I love Wii Fit, I have the male trainer. his name is Brett in our house. Don't like his ponytail though.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/08/2008 20:51

natty.....have you seen this. the fact it's still a "sticky" means they must still have tests to hand out.

sorry about DH's job and his kidney problem. Will he be having an operation to remove the growth? or the affected kidney? is it kidneys you only need one of?

We have had a lovely day at the BBQ, and who should I meet there but my mental health nurse who has only recently moved in next door to my BIL! Very odd meeting people like that out of context and out of a work setting. Not sure if it was seeing her, or the fact I had a huge panic attack this morning, but had a very wobbly moment this afternoon and spent 10 mins blubbing in the car. Still feeling really flat, like life is going on around me and all I can do is watch. If that makes any sense at all. Maybe I need to admit defeat and up my dose of prozac.

me me me....sorry

well, Daisy, I was going to suggest one as a present for DS. Bloody pricey pressie I know. But you can do it together without too much effort from you, and they completely knacker themselves out without me having to take them anywhere. When my boys play running the 400m at the Olympics, they are actually running. Win, win, win.

I sat down and read some of my book the other day whilst they were doing it. Only becasue my uber cling-on baby was in bed. She's being a right bugger.

Awww daisy, it's completely normal to meltdown when pg anyway, but up your ADs if that will help. You are coping with a lot. I can barely manage one child, you are managing two and a half mostly on your own!

Foxy, it's a pain you don't get more time on it. I'm sure my trainer doesn't have a ponytail...will check next time. I think there is a code you need to send each other Miis, will try and get mine for you.

DH is a bit of a neanderthal when it comes to modern technology of the pooter game stylee. And as DS's PS2 rarely gets played with as he gets too aggressive with it and forgets he needs the loo and wets himself, I really can't see DH agreeing to one. I could get it from my book selling commission, but we will be onto the next big thing before I've made enough money, lol

If our lawn was flat, I'd get a trampoline as he had great fun on our niece's today.

Sputnik......was it an earthquake you had the other night? You didn't come back (which had me briefly worried) and then I forgot to ask.
