HC! YAay for the sunshine!!! It's only two nights in the tent though, and it's right next to a house so it should be relatively safe!!

ORdered Mimi's big girls' bed todaY! Only to be told it's a crap one and they're re-calling them all!! ... so just getting the mattress now!! Must look for another one now, then sort out the Fairy/Crocodile duvet!! As long as it's PINK!

HAve a great weekend, see you if we survive the camping experience...

kbaby · 22/08/2008 22:16

Flik- Stop all this santa talk at once. It is far to early to be thinking about xmas.

my car failed its mot on brakes, reg plates and the boot handle(my button fell off 2 yrs ago and ive managed to get by by opening the boot with a pencil, however now they need to get into my boot for it to pass the mot) I suppose it couldve been worse.

Weve had a nice 2 days, yesterday we were at an adventure indoor centre and then for lunch with one friend and straight off to see another friend for tea and today we went to the folk museum by us with a friend and her children and had a picnic there. Managed to tire DS out so much hes actually gone to sleep tonight without a peep!

Wish he would stop jumping off things, I am having mini heart attacks. Yesterday he was stood on a stool and jumped forward onto the ground and into a forward roll and today his new trick is to jump down 4 steps at a time.

Annie - I love buying girlie bedding, its so much nicer than the boys stuff, im thinking about getting DD a new quilt and curtains set, theyve got lovely ones in next

HumphreysCorner · 22/08/2008 23:43

I think Sophie will be in her cot forever.

kbaby-my car is having an MOT a week on Tuesday. Dread them!

Enjoy Annie!

Spin- There is no way DD would have that one as its not pink! I cant even persuade her to have a red and white one I like. They have lovely ones on that website though, their comforters look gorgeous. I will have to trawl the net in the uk for some nice ones.

We ended up getting DS this one as it was the only digger cotbed one I could find

Then I got his name made out of these for his wall www.woodletters.co.uk/page3.htm

morning ladeez, hope you all had a good weekend?

We were soooo busy - Paultons Park on Friday, great fun but exhausting and I managed to lose my car in the car park for half an hour at the end, what a muppet; then a lovely children's birthday party in a beautiful garden on Saturday, they did a mini Olympics it was ace; then a family BBQ on Saturday night at BILs', then Stu and I and 3 other couples did Go Ape on Sunday afternoon, and then went straight to the pub for dinner and muchos Rum!; took boys swimming yesterday morning and then collapsed for the rest of the day!

Playing squash with my sister at lunchtime today, which as I have screwed my back from carrying T around Paultons park is probably not the BEST idea I have ever had but feel like I have to now as my sister has changed her childcare days etc....

Catch you all later!

xx

spin roshi looks sooooo grown up in that pic! and the planets are fab.

kbaby your letters are lovely!

jacob has a very plain room with some big tintin posters framed and on the walls and a cool wooden lighthouse and seagulls mobile fro mthe ceiling but that's it.

bloss how is the potty training going?

we are on day 6 with no pullups and no accidents - still nappies at night (how long dry in the day should they be before you go nappyless at night - not relishing that one even though he is dry at night).

sam is getting over his chickenpox so that is good - scabs are falling off nicely and he is doing ok without scratching so far, so hopefully not too many scars.

not much else to report here - must go and do a shop while boys are sleeping

TheGoddessBlossom · 26/08/2008 14:42

it's not Flick. I abandoned mission before even starting. Can't face it yet. I still get him to sit on the potty every night before bath but that's it. Think I'll give it a few months. I remember with H a sticker reward chart worked a treat, but I can't imagine Toby giving a flying fluff if he got a sticker or not!!!!

thefortbuilder · 26/08/2008 17:49

well we had our first accident today for 6 days - but he's doing pretty well generally!

some friends of ours used chocolate buttons bloss....worked a treat with their little girl who is not even 2 yet

just been on a lovely playdate with 2 new friends of mine and a new little boy friend for jacob!

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 26/08/2008 20:28

Evening ladies!

DH is happily watching footie, the babes are sleeping soundly, so here I am!! Ahem, searching for a bed for Mimi of course...

Flick, Jacob is doing so well! My two still go in their pants ALL the time, despite chocolate buttons, chocolate coins, removing an Animal every time (they get it back when they go in the loo), dinosaur sticker charts, etc etc... even the promise of a Little Einsteins Rocket won't do it, 'I just like Rocket on the telly, Mammy', says Joey...
He'll definitely be the first child to graduate from primary school still in nappies...

Spin, I love the way you just 'squeeze' in a bottle of Veuve casually!! That's the life, my dear! Lovely photo of Roshi looking very cheeky and confident as usual! The room looks great too. Good luck with the review tomorrow, I'm sure it'll be all clear!

Bloss, looks like you had a fun fun fun weekend! I actually thought it was you in the pics for a minute!! Exhausting though!

Kbaby, thanks for that link, I might get Mimi to pick one of the PINK ones on there! How is DS sleeping, any better?

HC, are you still caravanning? How many bottles is that now?!

We had a great weekend, drove down to Somerset on Saturday lunchtime, the babes slept most of the way, and got to the farm and pitched the tent. Mimi then wanted to go to 'sleep in a tent' straight away! Even though it was only about 5pm! And she had slept all the way... . She didn't though. Eventually went to sleep and then the grown ups had wine and bbq round the camp-fire, until around midnight, and then it rained ALL night.
Went in the pool in the morning, they LOVED it, though were a bit wary, not being used to the water, but we got them floating on those ring things, and they loved it. Then there was bouncy castle, ponds with ducks, dogs, older kids who wanted to look after them, more tents... Got them to sleep in the tent around 9pm, while the party continued below, but hey, I was after plenty of red wine, so I conked too! DH did come up later with another bottle of red for me, but I was dozing by then, so I sent him back!! I know!
Overall it was good fun though. When we were taking down the tent, they both insisted on sitting in the car, as they wanted to go home! AW!!!

Anyways, I'll stop now, you'll all be asleep!!

HAve a good evening!!
2-0 to the Toon so far!

xx Annie xx

Morning ladies

Havent been on in a while again so been doing a catch up.

Been a bit hectic here, got new kitchen fitted last week but my mum took charlotte for a few days so it made it all a lot less stressful. Getting new flooring done this weekend then thats it, be glad that everything will be finally done.

Off to paris in 2 weeks and cant wait, impy - yes we've been before, this will be our 7th time, love it

Going to try the potty training when we come back from paris, although she doesnt ever seem bothered when she is wet/dirty so no idea if shes even ready

Since charlotte was staying at my mum and dads last week (she sleeps in a bed with siderail) and seems fine in it, we decided to take cotsides off, thats been 3 nights now and she seems to be doing fine. Goes down ok at bedtime but taking bad with when she wakes up she just comes out of room by herself, had to put her back at 4am this morning

spin - good luck with the tests, how did you get on at ww? ive given up on dieting, trying to maintain but realised i love my food too much

annie - sounds like you all had a fab time

bloss - go ape looks great fun

Sun is out so hope it lasts today before our summer is over. Have a good day ladies xx

I don't diet either and am getting fatter by the minute!!! Feck...
I'm trying to do a bit more exercise though, but I'm very lazy. I would like to lose around a stone. It's that booze that does it...

Any sign of the bed, Spin?? I ordered Mimi's last night, it should arrive tomorrow.
I did take some pics, but haven't looked at them yet. I will post some as soon as I do!!

Still success in the staying all night in the cot department, she didn't even ask to come in our bed last night. Though she did ask for Daddy and chocolate milk at 5am...

Going to get Wii Fit tongith! Yaay!

Beadmum, I'm so of your new kitchen AND your Paris trip!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 27/08/2008 16:07

I am very jealous of Bead's nooo kitchen and Paris trip too.

Well I do bloody diet, permanently it seems, and it seem bloody unfair that I can gain 4 pounds by looking at a packet of M&Ms sideways. Had to go to a work related thing this morning (I KNOW - THE CHEEK OF IT) and the troos that used to fall down to show my thong (classy eh?) now pinch. NOT impressed. Really trying not to munch on lard in the evenings and not to drink too much wine but it's so DULL!!!!

Work related thing was my redundancy consultation so it's now official and I am off as of Sept 2nd, but being paid for Sept. No redundancy as I haven't been there a year....

Have a few irons in the fire so will keep you all informed.

Played squash with sis yesterday and cannot MOVE today. Was going to go swimming to losen up a bit, but ache too much!

Right off to do a shop before I pick up the boys. I shall miss them going to nursery 3 days...although have enrolled H in Pre school for 5 sessions come second week of Sept, I wonder how he will adjust.....I expect he will kick off when he sees Toby is coming home with me......

thefortbuilder · 27/08/2008 20:04

hiya

quick post as i've got to stop mning so much - turns out that the people i get my booties off have a distributor that lives in the Uk (SW london.....) although she distributes in the US. insted of doing what they said they would do and put all enquiries through me, they have said "o'h yes our woman in the UK is off to a slow start so you go ahead and have a go in SW London".... WTFFFFFFF so if anyone has any bright ideas send them my way - or any press contacts to get me some coverage etc

ta - see you all later off to try and keep my new business on some kind of track!

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 27/08/2008 20:13

Am back now ladies and only managed 6 bottles of wine. Not bad eh? Had a great time despite the rain and no visits from the PIL-yay!!!!!!!!!

spin-hope the tests are fine, am sure they will be. I am now more than 5lb over my goal due to enless scones with jam and cream so unless I cut down this week I won't get paid when I weigh in on Monday at WW. 'Tis so hard once you start eating again.

Can't believe how well you are doing with potty training. Emma was a devil and was nearly 3 before she cracked it and nigh on 4 before she was dry at night. Not going to stress myself out over it with the Sophster.

Bloss-bugger that you don't get any redundancy pay. Hope you get something sorted soon.

We are skint, skint, skint so might have to start selling my body to earn cash. Bought some school shoes for Emma today and nearly passed out at the £35 I was charged. Was £29 last year which I thought was bad. Ho hum!

Better stop supping vino and get some tea ready. Love to all. Was so pleased to be able to have Wifi on the site to keep in touch-how sad is that?

TheGoddessBlossom · 28/08/2008 08:14

God my DH drives me mad. I KNOW I have got to get another job, am looking, jezuz was only officially made redundant yesterday FGS! But he bangs on about it every morning, "Things are slow for me right now, it's different this time you don't have any savings put aside to be off work like you did before, you have to work, and if you can't find anything part time you will have to go back full time, do you realise we need your money, we could lose our house, it's happening all over...." etc.

The things is we are NOT skint. We have loads of savings. We are in no danger at all of losing our house. He is SUCH a worry wart pessimist it drives me insane. Does he really want me to go back full time and have our pre-school children looked after by other people 5 days a week? With the stress of me in a full time sales job, working all hours, travelling, targets and pressure?

God men, particularly mine, drive me mad.

Sorry rant over.

TheGoddessBlossom · 28/08/2008 08:19

glad you had a good time HC, welcome back.

Hope test results are ok Spin...

How annoying Flick! Very misleading.

Had horrible dream last night, and H was having nightmares too, he woke up twice screaming as someone had stolen his sandwich and each time I got up to him I came back and slipped back into my bad dream, so not the best night's sleep. And drank too much wine again last night, I am regressing. No booze tonight. Am driving to my sister's mini iq party anyway so that will help.

Have to go and get H some shoes today HC, not looking forward to that, the two of them in a shoe shop is absolute carnage especially when you have to wait around. What is it about shoe shops that sends them bonkers? They don't seem to run laps of Sainsburys or Woolies..

kbaby · 28/08/2008 10:02

Spin- Anthing like this suitable
www.next.co.uk/shopping/homeware/childrensbedroom/44/2
I was thinking about stickers for Ds bedroom but he's a terror for peeling them of so thought against it. He ikes peeling all the stickers or labels off clothes in the shops and sticking them to his face.

DS and DD are currently wrecking playing in the playroom, he is called charlotte and she is the princess and they are walking through the forest.

Bloss- When will H start school. I thought he was 4 like DD and she starts full time next week. Still waiting for all the iron on labels to arrive. Dh is the same we apparently have a lot of money in savings which DH refuses to use as were waiting for that rainy day. Moses will be going past before I will be able to get my hands on it!!

Now my 2 show me and themselves up in every shop apart from a shoe shop. They both love getting new shoes and DD is already insisting I take her to buy her winter boots. I cant keep up with her shoe obsession

HumphreysCorner · 28/08/2008 12:04

Bloss-ggrhhh at your DH. Don't rush into anything. Sophie needs some shoes but can't pay 2 lots of £35 so waiting for next months child benefit first.

kbaby-is you DD excited about starting school? Emma couldn't wait and she is looking forward to joining year 1 next Thursday. Am just about to start sewing the name tags in her new bits of uniform. Most of last September's still fits thank goodness.

Waves to everyone else.
