Flick - lovely to hear from you and glad that everything is ok...you had us worried you know!!

Spin - glad everything was good with the MRI scan. for Ch though - children can be so cruel sometimes can't they? I can imagine how it must break your heart

Not much going on here - just the usual treadmill of life with 2 children

spin, am freaking out here as the sickness has almost stopped and cramping is bad. So hoping all will be OK.

Good luck with Roshi but she will be fine you know. Also won't be long before Chili is playing with the boys again.

Welcome back flick, we were very worried.

Annie, welcome back to you too. Poor mossies.

Big wave to all.

Hope you feel better. HUGS

skay · 12/02/2009 15:03

Welcome back Spin and Annie. Hope all goes well with Roshi.

Bloss - How are you feeling?

Kavya seems to be coping with the pre-school. The last couple os sessions she hasn't cried when being dropped off. But then it is half term next week, so will have to see.

Going off to see my Mum this W/end, so if I don't get a chance, "Have a nice weekend Everyone"

Lots of snow here, the most we've had over the past few weeks.

Hope all OK.

Hi all!

Welcome back Annie and Flick! Flick you did have us worried, we didn't know where you'd go to! Great news about the business, well done you.

Spin, that is so sad about Chill, sure it's all fine, but can so see how you would want to go and duff someone up! Grrrr... Good luck with Roshi today (yesterday/tomorrow? Time zones ....)

Work is great, have secured a big new client this week, really pleased. Was out last night with the girls, really good fun, and head doesn't hurt too much this morning.

Had a horrid Monday morning, H was really creating about going to nursery, and refusing to get in the car, finally did and as I leant over to strap him in he spat in my face.......I have to say the red mist descended and he got a great big wallop on his leg, I was so angry I couldn't speak. We did make freinds before I left him, and both apologised....

butof course I felt absolutely miserable about it all day and found my self in the stationary cupboard at work phoning his nusery to speak to him, as just wanted to hear his voice. Won't be able to do that when he starts school will I?

Hand still hurts like hell, tried to play squash yesterday and had to wear my friend's leather glove!

Have great weekend all. My kitchen starts Monday, we are moving into my parents, god help us....

Morning all,

HC, big squeeze for you (but not too hard!) and hoping all is well still.

Bloss so of your new kitchen. Tough one, with Harry, but believe me we've all been there. My biggest thing at the mo is Mimi wants Daddy all the time (after two and a half years) so does Joey, so I'm all left out after I've read the stories... Of course it's great in one way I can just head straight for the fridge and crack open the Merlot, but also and guilty for not wanting to be in a headlock at night with her, and now being kicked away... still, phases and all that. I still get an adorable running hug when I get home. And DH has been dragged out of bed each morning since we got back from Ireland by her for her cereal!!

Spin, best of luck today with Roshi - it may well be all over by now, so I hope it went well.

Welcome back Flick!!

A proud big brother moment at nursery this week. When they arrive, they pick their names out and put the on the 'Who's here today' cloud. Joey of course is an expert! Mimi stands there gazing at all the names, so last week, I told her to find a yellow one with a 'K' and there were too, so one with and 'K' and a 'y'. So she found it. This week, she stood there again, and Joey took it upon himself to pick her name and a random other name, and put them both in front of her, and say 'Which one is yours, Mimi?' and she chose the right one!! Soooo pleased!! He also still gets very cross at me and DH if she's naughty and we shout at her!! Points his finger at us and tells us WE are naughty!!

So ladies, I really should go and confess my mozzie mortalities to the boss. Even though she's not really my boss, but she won't be pleased...

Spin - so glad today went well - it definitely sounds like Roshi was ready for it And glad the situation with Ch got sorted out aswell - bless him for being so affectionate!

Bloss - I think spitting would be one of my trigger points so I don't blame you for smacking him so don't feel guilty. He will have forgotten all about it now I am sure!

Annie - clever Mimi! Josh seems able to recognise his name on a piece of paper etc but I am not sure if that is because the only time we ever ask him 'what does that say' the answer is always 'Joshua' if that makes sense. What is very cute is that if we call him a cheeky monkey, clown or whatever, he turns round and says 'I am not a cheeky monkey, I am Joshua Luke'!

i'm not sure whether jacob would recognise his name - i thin khe would - will have to test it out

spin glad it all went well for R and hopefully Chilli will get it all sorted out soon with his mates.

bloss i too would see red mist if jacob spat at me - i am being pretty tough on him at the moment as he's been allowed to get away with pretty much anything for the last 3 weeks, so it's a bit of a sergeant major act going on now - don't think he'd dare cross me at the moment! he froze mid run earlier when i hollered at him

not much else to say - boys are getting back into uk time really well so far, so let's see how they do at the weekend. josh is off out for some drinks tonight with the husbands of a couple of my good friends - he knows the guys fairly well now and they talked about going out for a few beers, and i'm actively encouraging him to make friends with people that live near us so he can play tennis / golf etc with them at the weekends - does that sound sad, and he came out with "well I really wasn't up for a big night tonight but I guess sometimes you have to make the effort!" - i do wonder why i bother sometimes

Bloss-I would have given a clip round the head in that situation. Infact, I'm prone to clipping round the head if they fall out of line. Spitting is definitely not acceptable. Your job is going brilliantly.

spin-Queen Roshi was always going to settle in well, bless her. Must start enquiring for a nursery/playgroup for Sophie.

Ceebee-when we call Sophie a monkey she says no, I'm not monkey I'm Sophie. When Balamory comes on and Miss Hooley says hello, what's your name she says I'm Sophie to the television.

Still feeling icky.

Love to all

Thanks for all thoughts girls, nice to feel I am not the mother from hell.....I was feeling so guilty, because all roads as to why it happened led back to me - he didn't want to get in the car because it meant walking two steps over mud and he didn't want to get his trainers dirty = I have made him a clean freak. We were running late which made me stressed and I shouted = I should have been more organised. Yadayadadayada...

Great news Spin about R's first day, like it was going to be any different! Annie no way would Toby recognise letters or his name, he calls himself Toby Ridgers very sweetly, or if he is having a tantrum (10 hours out of the 24 at the moment) and you ask him who he is he says "I am grotbag mummy". You sure are kiddo.

Looking forward to a day sans kids tomorrow, my sisters and I are taking my mum for pedicures and then to the movies, yay.

Hi I'm here.

We are at my Mum and dad's while the kitchen is being ripped out. On day 2 and so far so good. Boys were up very early, but nothing new there, but as they are sharing a room here in bunk beds T wakes H up, who would normally sleep till nearer 7.

Funny my dad asking me what I want for tea!

Very exciting re the kitchen, it's going to be so fantastic, and a much bigger room. Hurry hurry!

HC you pooor thing, must be dreadful, I am in awe of anyone that manages to function with morning sickness never mind look after two other children.

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 18/02/2009 13:49

Hello girls

Hope all are well, specially you HC, any better?

Bloss, lucky lucky lucky you new kitchen!! Enjoy being fed in the meantime!!

Spin, fair play to Roshi - tough as boots!

DH is bringing the childers in today, briefly to work and then to the Dinosaurs! They are very excited, but of course DH is predicting every disaster possible, from Joey wetting his pants to Mimi doing a poo and having to carry her everywhere... he refuses to bring the Maclaren. I am finished my work and just waiting for them to arrive now - they already missed one train by 3 seconds!! Hope it's not too packed in the NHM.

Been having lots of sleepful nights, thankfully, Mimi seems to have settled finally. Still find it very hard to get up in the morning though, maybe I'm over-sleeping now!!
