Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Morning to all,

HC - I'm not with it. (I had to look uo BFP up on the acronym list). Were you trying TTC, or is this an unexpected result? Fingers crossed for you.

Bloss - To hear about your mum. Unfortuneatly I've heard stories like this before. My (late)FIL went through this. Not very nice for those concerned.
((((((HUGS)))))) for you.

TMI Alert!!!!
Aglach - Yes I still get the dreaded AF.
Mine went haywire after I had the coil fitted. They were really heavy for about 6 mths then I realised that if I have anything really spicy to eat, It makes them worse. Cannot eat pickle at all. ATM I'm averaging 5-6 days, and then they are not heavy. I'd like to say that they have settled, but am not sure. Can't say where I am month to month. Re the removal - not sure I want to go through all that pain again so quickly.

Thanks to all you ladies who posted on Bedtimes. Will try to sit DS down to read it through.
(He says to me "Who's Skay?" )

See you soon

Skay.

HumphreysCorner · 26/01/2009 11:10

skay-yes, were TTC for 10 whole long months. Am 40 in October so panic had set in.

Sorry your AF's are awful.

Annie-will be putting in a school app for Sophie later on this year. Will be doing it online again. Good luck!

HC - WELL DONE!!!
You don't look a day over 21!! (but then neither do any of the other ladies).

Skay.

ImpyChica · 26/01/2009 20:33

HUGS Bloss. Really feel for you. Must be so hard. Offload on here as much as you like/can - that's what we're here for. Give yourself a big squeeze from me.

YEAH HC!!!!! Made up for you!!! Finger's crossed it's a real result, and yes, every pregnancy is different - maybe you're expecting a boy ;-)

Annie you are so naughty!!! Bulging veins!!! Tee hee. (Hope you're enjoying it Spin ;-)

SKay - sleep's gone up the spout a bit since Ryan's been in a bed rather than cot (since Jan). Get him in bed 7.30/8pm but he can often be a bit naughty and won't sleep till 9.30, even 10.... We had to put a lock on the outside of his door (barbaric according to the other thread!) so he didn't keep coming out into the living room and doing our heads in! (We live in a small flat). He's been waking up in the middle of the night too recently - really annoying! Ho hum...

Can't believe Verity is a whole month old, Rhinestone! Glad Dom is adjusting well.

Shame about chickenpox CB, poor things!!! Ry was vaccinating against that a while ago - when do you have that done in the UK? I guess Ryan can still catch it all the same... Least you're not house-bound during the summer!

Thanks for comments Algach! It's funny getting married after living in sin for so long, isn't it?! Love hearing about all your kids, at all their different stages - gives a glimpse into the future...!

Anyway, only meant to do a quick post! Hi to everyone else.

Impy xxxxx

Ceebee74 · 26/01/2009 20:46

Evening

Bloss - so for you but I hope getting all down here helps you in some way to deal with it.

HC - congratulations (again) Crap about the straighteners but maybe the saying 'if it seems too good to be true, it probably is' is true!

Spin - Happy anniversary - hope you are having a great time!

Impy - we don't get vaccinated here at all - I think it is seen as a childhood ritual or something Josh's sleep is crap at the moment aswell - but there is another thread on here where it seems to be quite common around the 2.6 age group...apparently it passes!

Am so jealous of all your early bedtimes!! Josh goes to bed at 7.30 - 6.30 would be fab but he really is not tired at that time so there would be no point! At least he does go to sleep straight away at 7.30 with hardly any messing - he just saves that for the early hours instead

Josh is perfectly ok but it is driving me crazy being stuck in the house all day..he is like a duracell bunny who never stops and I have a nother 3 days of it...really struggling to think of things to keep him entertained and will tire him out a little (that is what I pay nursery for fgs ) Dh is away all week aswell so it is just little old me - having a fab time, honest!

Morning all

HC wonderful news!! Hope all goes well for you. Is this the last or will you be like me and squeeze in another?? x

Bloss i used to work in a geriatric unit with people who had Altzhiemers and dementia. It was infinitely worse for the patients families than the patient ime. You have my sympathy and (((hugs)))xx

Skay i read your thread. My 2 can be like that occasionally. I sometimes have a night when i'm up and down like a yo-yo with drinks of water/tuck me in Mumeeeeee. I eventually lose the plot and get a bit shouty and tell them that the nice thing i have planned for tomorrow will be cancelled unless they get to sleep RIGHT NOW!!!!

Mindee No1 will be a bit later this morning, wish they had told me last night, could have had an extra half hour in bed. Never mind, will get an extra coffee before everyone arrives lol.

Am busy organisinf my dd1's nursery Pamper Night Fundraiser. I have managed to find 2 people (a brother and sister) who do tarot cards and lots of beauty treatments and therapists to do Indian Head Massage. Also got party plan girls,Virgin Vie/Partylite/Jewellery/Handmade Cards etc. Lots of wine and soft drinks and nibbles. I am really nervous now,i hope we make lots of money. Please all tell me it'll be a roaring success

Better go get washing on and give ds2 another wake up call. Have a good day xxx

skay · 27/01/2009 10:51

Morning ladies.

Ceebee - Have the chicken-pox spots started to scab over yet? Once the spots have scabbed over they are no-longer contagious, I sent my DS back to school once his had scabbed over. Twill be over soon and then you can get back to normal. (2 more days?).

Aglach - I hope your party goes well. Sounds really good. Indian head massage etc.

Bloss - How's mum?

I have left Kavya at school today. Again she's crying. Have given her a toy mobile phone so that she can ring me. Was that a good thing to do? Will pick her up soon. Better get her choco buttons ready. She'll want them as soon as she comes out.

See you all soon
Bye

SK

Afternoon laaaydeez.

I handed Joey's application in today! AAaaaaargh! So fingers crossed til the end of March. It took so long last night, just fiddling it about and changing words here and there, and all the time I'm thinking, it doesn't really matter that what you put, and DH is questioning my spelling - how very dare he!! I'm like - just get something down and hand it in and it's DONE! He's like - no, they check for neatness of writing...
Anyway, it's done. It's in. Most of the humming and haaahing was over the second and third choice schools, which may (HOPEFULLY) have been completely futile if we get our first choice...
And not even a glass of wine to get me through the evening. Just as well really or I really would have scribbled down any ole crap!!

Spin, you and DH ok now?! What an active family, fair play to Roshi for getting up that hill! And you for carrying her - no chance! I always make sure I'm carrying a bag or something now, so that's my excuse for not carrying her anymore, 'oh look, Mimi, I have to carry this bag, I can't carry you as well?!'. Even though we only walk down the road, not up Ayres Rock...

skay, it took Mimi ages to settle at nursery, from september to december she was always crying and clinging when I left her, but since Christmas she's been fine. It just takes time.

Algach, your pamper night sounds FUN! Can I come!!??

CB, I'm of your early bedtimes!! 7.30 would be unheard of in our house. 8.30 I still count as lucky.

Impy, hope Ry settles again soon, I always find it goes a bit haywire after a holiday.

Rhinestone, hope Verity settles soon too, she's only little still though. I found my two completely different sleep-wise, so fingers crossed eh?

Well, that was a long one! Sorry folks!

aGalChangedHerName · 27/01/2009 16:03

God Annie i wish you were all near enough to come!!!

Well my lovely ds1 passed his driving test today!!! Woohoooo!! I was nearly crying when he got back and told me,never thought i'd be that emotional

Wants to know if DH can put him on the insurance tonight so he can take the gf to school tomorrow, and so begins the worrying......... Also wants to take dd1 to nursery yikes!!

HumphreysCorner · 27/01/2009 16:29

That is excellent news agalch. Try not to worry eh? I don't think I would be letting him do the nursery run just yet.

spin-hope all OK your end. {{xx}}

aGalChangedHerName · 27/01/2009 17:16

Dunno HC i reckon he's probably be safer with his dsis in the car than on his own or with his mates iyswim?

Still a worry tho, just you lot wait till all the wee ones are asking to borrow the car

TheGoddessBlossom · 27/01/2009 18:07

Algach that is fantastic news!! Well done him. God I can't imagine it.

Can I have a bit of a teensy weensy show off? Have a new American boss, who has asked whole team to do the "elevator" pitch of our company to him over the phone this week - he liked mine so much he has told people it is the benchmark of what he was looking for and has asked people to call me and get me to do it to them down the phone so they know what to do! Can't help feeling secretly pleased and proud. Had a cracking meeting today too, loving work right now.

Find out what happened at mum's appt later on. Thanks for all good wishes.

Spin have you considered the Depo Provera injection? I don't get AF on that, it's sooooooo convenient. Been on it for years, and clearly it had no affect on my ability to produce Skidgers!

CB sorry to hear you are housebound with the pox. Hope they are over it soon.

Annie well done for getting application in, I have to wait for end of Feb before I find out about my school of choice, on the edge of my seat I can tell you, as I already know we didn't get our Hampshire choice...

Right, bath and bed for smalls, shall I have a glass of wine tonight? Shall I? Shall I?

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 27/01/2009 20:21

NO BLOSS NO!!! Only 4 more days!!!!!!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 27/01/2009 20:34

HumphreysCorner · 27/01/2009 21:20

glad to hear the nighttime waking isnt just happening in this house charlotte has been waking every other night and coming through saying 'morning' grr not at bloody 2am, back to bed and repeat a few times before shes finally got the message its still bedtime.

Not sure what to do with potty training, still not convinced she is ready. Baby due in 3 months so do i attempt it before or wait until after?

27 weeks pg now and starting to feel huge, still feeling pretty good although bit tired in the afternoons, im sure it was easier being at work when pg last time than at home all day with a 2yo think i was dozing off the other afternoon when i heard charlotte say 'wake up mummy' if thats me now i hate to think how tired i'll be in 10 weeks time

Better get off to bed (no wonder im tired in the afternoon being up at this time )

Oh Well done Bloss, you done brilliant!!! Bet you enjoyed that wine though, specially the second one, after the warm-up!
So cool with your job too.

Algach, well done to your DS. I'm sure he's just all excited about getting his licence, he'll be careful.

Beadmum, doesn't time fly!? only 13 weeks to go!

Nothing to report here, only I haven't done a tap of work today yet...

HumphreysCorner · 28/01/2009 20:14

I got my money back for the GHD's along with this E-Mail:

'I have refunded your original amount I will refund you a Furter £6.50 Once I recieve the item back. I understand you are not happy about this but niether am I, and I am a little disapointed about what you wrote on feedback. That has spoiled my chances of selling anything on ebay!'

Am shocked and upset really and replied that under the circumstances I didn't know what else to put. An Ebay clause meant I had to leave him feedback before he got my money which he then refunded. Never again eh?

Beadmum-wow, over half way there.

agalch-this is the last baby definitely. Too old for any more.

Had Emma's school friend round for tea and a play. Never done it before and am exhausted. The mum bought me some flowers for having her and driving her to the farm on Sunday. So nice of her.

Better go, tea to drink.

Big wave to all!
