Nightmare HC, and it must be annoying that DH doesn't back you up. particularly annoying that he diesappeared upstairs leaving you to endure it all. Do PIL know about BFP yet?
So sorry to hear about FIL pixel. Hope you are all ok.
Got a wine headache. On 2 glasses of wine. Am such a lightweight. DH can finally drink tonight, although as he is out running and still on a tremendous health drive I doubt he will. He has lost over a stone since NYD.
Mum has finally been diagnosed has having had a small stroke in the last 2 years at some point. So basically she has been locked in a mental box unable to communicate because of it with everyone treating her as if she was losing her marbles. She has another more focussed MRI scan next Friday, BIL knows people that work in that department of the hospital and got her appt moved up by 5 months! Amazing really.
Took boys to Fizzy Kids Friday morning (soft play) and despite me arriving there barely speaking to them due to their beahviour in the car on the way over, it was good fun. H had a friend to sleepover Friday night which was also fine, apart from the 5am wake up call. DH cooked scallops with prosciutto ham on sweetcorn puree, followed by fish stew last night. Divine.
Algach, snap, my new kitchen starts week commencing 16th! So excited. Got ours from B&Q but going to IKEA next Saturday (sans kids thank god) to buy entirely new crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs, the whole shebang. Got enormous honey coloured tiles for the floor, oak kitchen, cream walls and I am going for black porcelain splashback tiles as worksurfaces will also be black marble. DH wanted to intersperse them with cream ones, but I wasn't sure, what do you think? I think it will be ok with grey grout to break it up....decisions decisisons....getting a huge Amercian style double fridge, and a table and chairs so we can finally eat in the kitchen, rather than always using the dining room.
I have imposed a ban on TV while the kids are eating. They ten to eat in the playrooom and I usually let them watch TV (bearing in mind 4 days a week they eat all meals at nursery and don't watch TV there). But having read that report of viewing, the only "rule" we seemed to be breaking was allowing tv during meals, and although I am certainly not a stickler for rules, it does seem to have made a difference. They argue talk to each other more, and concentrate on eating their food, rather than me ending up spooning it in just to get the meal over with...
Anyway I'll stop waffling on. Catch you all soon!
