Thanks for the sympathies girls, v lovely of you. It wasn't unexpected as FIL was elderly and not too well, but still v sad, especially for MIL.

Gorgeous pics Spin - bless Chili, he looks so handsome, and like he's just stepped off the set of Neighbours Glad his first day went well. Love the one of Roshi asleep on the chairs, she's looking gorgeous as ever too!

Bloss - so sorry to hear about your mum As Ceebee says, hopefully now they have a diagnosis they can treat her properly, is there a chance of any rehabilative (sp?) treatment?

Ceebee - glad Josh seems to be snapping out of it, it's so sad with their cute personalities seem to have been abducted by aliens isn't it! Sam sounds like an angel in the sleeping dept, hurrah! You'll have to post more pics, I bet he's changed a lot already.

HC - yes holing up in the house sounds like a good idea, put your feet up Grrrrr re your FIL, VERY annoying not to be supported when disciplining.

Emma had a couple of hideous days this week, thankfully seems to be getting better now. All I can put it down to is overtiredness/overstimulation and more attention than usual from visitors etc.

Hi to Skay - I remember you too, I seem to remember Kavya was one of the very early stair climbers out of the July lot, wasn't she?

The snow seems to be coming down thicker here now, up till now has just been a light and pretty-looking dusting, wonder if it will settle properly? Trying to summon up the energy to go and build a snowman with Emma, but it's so sludgy and cooooold!!

Big wave to everybody else

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/02/2009 17:33

well we had two foot of snow, no nursery or trip to London for the Blossom family! I'm sure snowmen used to be easier to make!

HumphreysCorner · 02/02/2009 18:22

at you lot with snow.

Kerist knows what we/I will do with them tomorrow if the nursery is still closed!

Spin - fabulous pix! Luuuurve Chilli in his outfit. And I finally know what you mean about Teeny Weeny Queen Rosheeny's leg creases

Ceebee74 · 03/02/2009 09:21

Morning

Spin - lovely photos I always forget you are in Oz so I had this image of Ch in long trousers, jumper etc He looks so smart and hope yesterday went as well as his first day did.

HC - with Sam, I swore by Foxes glacier mints for the MS - couldn't have got through without them tbh. Sucking one of those when the nausea got really bad definitely took the edge of it - of course I can't even look at a glacier mint now

Hope you are all enjoying the snow - it isn't that bad up here (for a change!) but it has frozen overnight so the ground is really icy. I had to drive Josh to nursery rather than walk as the pavements look like a deathtrap to me!!

Since Pixel asked nicely, here are some recent photos of Sam

awww lovely CB - look at your little lads! Aren't they difference colouring wise!

Nursery open! YAY! DH took them up there in the jeep, by hook or by crook they were going!

Spin - he is nearly 11 weeks old now

Rightly or wrongly I always use threats/bribery - it is the only thing Josh seems to respond to!!

Bloss - I know exactly how you feel about nursery! Josh being off last week with the pox nearly finished me off

nursery called to say they are closing! Still snowing here. Bracing myself fr return of the terrible twines....

Ceebee74 · 03/02/2009 12:40

Bloss - you have my utmost sympathies

skay · 03/02/2009 14:03

Hello to all.

This is the first time in days I have actually managed to sit down at the computer properly. So will have to play catch-up.

School texted yesterday saying that they were open with a skeleton staff. Only bring your child if you have to. Basically they didn't want children to be sent to school. Don't mind the text they sent, but the timing. I got my text at 8.15am. I'm already out the door by then. Most parents would have set out by then too. Just hope that next time they can let us know earlier.
Didn't get any texts this morning, so took him to school and dropped him off with no probs. Had to walk, driving is so treacherous.

Ceebee & Spin - Lovely photos. Have Josh's pox left any marks? I hope not. Kavya's scabs have fallen off, but she's got lots of marks in the nappy area.

Pixel - Sorry to hear about your FIL.
Yes, Kavya was the one who climbed the stairs and I thought she was a burgler.

HC - I used to have tea and toast when I was preggers with Kavya. Used to crunch Ice with Sujay.

So with all of you who manage to get down to Ikea. DH will not even go near the place. Every time I say I'd like to go to Ikea, he says "You don't want anything from there, It's all too expensive in there."
grrr!

Bloss - I have to turn off TV whilst we're eating too. When it's on they don't actually eat anything. Makes a difference. Then once the TV has been turned off for dinner it doesn't go back until kids are tucked up in bed.

See you soon.

Afternoon all,

Just whiling away to afternoon before returning to a grumpy DH and two riotous childers. Bloss and CB, DH was expressing both your sentiments and he should be used to it! Nursery was also closed today.
Surprisingly my trains and tubes were fine both today and yesterday, so I amazed everyone by turning up. Well, the ones that turned up too.
I'm off tomorrow to sort out a few things at home, and then off to Ireland on Thursday for a long weekend and to become Godmother! Weather permitting, of course.

Joey wee-ed the bed last night . Dunno why. Just did. So he came in our bed. DH is gettnig NO sleep and is VERY grumpy. Mimi is sleeping very well these nights, horraaaaaaay!! (Touch wood, please don't let me have jinxed it - the Ireland trip should do that anyway).
They are both being very noisy, more than usual. And they Always Want the Same Toy... so lots of pushing and grabbing and indignant screaming.

Skay, Ikea? Expensive? Which one do you go to?

Spin, you are evil. Bribery and Threats?! I never heard the like of it. Love the photos, what photogenic children! Well done to Chili at school, glad he loves it. I'm dreading that day...

CB your boys are gorgeous too, stunners!

Bloss, so about your mum, can they do something for her do you know?

Pix, HI!!!

HC, hope the nausea isn't too bad! Good sign though!! Yaay!

Right, well, off to slip-slide my way home, via Harrods (need to get Godmothery present...)

Might not get on again before (IF!) we get to Ireland, so see you all next week!!

x xx

PS if ye start a new thread while I'm gone, please tell me...

HumphreysCorner · 03/02/2009 18:02

Oh dear, I am very sick, so much earlier than last 2 times. Ugh! Thanks for all your tips. Have eaten a crumpet and so far so good. Just the thought of getting DH's tea ready pushes me over the edge.

Bloss, how was your day? At least you have snow.

Annie, how lovely. How long are you in
Ireland for?

spin-I use threats/bribery all the time. Remember the incident in the toilets before Christmas with the nosey cleaner? It is the way forward.

Big wave to everyone.

Morning all

HC sympathies,i felt really sick for 3/4 months with both the dd's. Every time i was upright i felt soooo ill so i spent lots of time lying down. I had to drive with all the car windows open and was never anywhere without a carrier bag or 2. I was CMing at the time so not an easy time.

Got another meeting about the Pamper Night this morning. Have managed to locate a reflexologist and an aromatherapist (sp) but i can't find a bloody portable screen for the aromatherapy lady. Anyone any ideas? Have spoken to local school and health centre but no joy.

Mindee arriving now. Have a good day all xx

Morning everyone,

Aglach - Not sure if this would work for you.
Tie a piece of string from one end of room to the other. Hang voile curtain from it?
Like I said not sure it is the best idea for you. Just an idea though.

HC - Some times Ginger helps. Also found sucking on Barley Sugar worked. Hope you feel better.

Annie - Enjoy your trip. BTW, I've never actually been to Ikea. So going just to have a look would be nice. DH is just so dead against going. Even if we went window shopping in Ikea it would be nice, but DH says NO.

Got to take Sujay swiming tonight. Can't remember if i've told you this one. Sujay is in Level 2 of swimming lessons. Can't swim, but has got a little bit of water confidence.
At the swimming lessons he was told by the swimming instructor, to hold onto a woggle,(One of those long tubey things) and jump into the... DEEP END. There were two instructors in the pool. with 8 children. I was & at the same time!!!
I spoke to the person at reception desk and she said "it's to boost their water confidence". I will have to take a deep breath when I take him swimming.
Sorry for Ranting.

Got to go.

SK

HumphreysCorner · 04/02/2009 18:11

Crikey skay, wouldn't like swimming lessons like that.

agalch-you need to string a washing line across the room and hang a sheet over it.

spin-good news about Roshi's school and she got her trainers.

If I get that far I will be finding out the flavour and will of course let you all know.

MS still as bad, it is getting me at 3am too as well as all day. Hoping I will get some better days.

Love to all.

HC

TheGoddessBlossom · 04/02/2009 22:00

Skay - everyone is different, but I dunked both H and T from months old in the pool, they loved it! Both jump in willy nilly with no fear whatsoever, and love the water. Your choice of course, but better to embrace being able to leap in than instilling fear don't you think? Especially as you, and instructors are there watching and they have woggles to grab....

Poor HC. Never had any MS so can't really empathise, but you have my full sympathies. Remember all Spin's horror stories though!

Got my aqua beat through this morning! Loaded 60 songs onto it, going to give it a test tomorrow in the pool. I'll probably try and swim in time to the music and kill myself! Will try to resist stopping mid length to dance to Sash - Encore en Fois!

Bloss - I deffo want one of those but where do you clip it?? Will it clip to your cossie?

Tis snowing again - just managed to drop Josh off at nursery but I guess I won't be going out for the rest of the day....duvet day it is then

HumphreysCorner · 05/02/2009 10:13

It is snowing here and just got to school and the head decided to close it.

Thanks for your sympathy girls, am 6 weeks today so possibly only another 6/10 weeks of MS left. It will be worth it in the end I keep telling myself.

Enjoy your musical swim Bloss-sounds fab but I love music and have to sing along all the time if I know the words.

Big wave to all, need to nibble on a biscuit.
