bored and tired, ironing done, floors swept and mopped, girls asleep and eaten my dinner and washed up am seriously considering going to bed!

theSuburbanDryad · 13/08/2008 08:26

Morning all. Having shitty nights here - Z just wants to nurse all night and it makes my boobs feel like they're hanging on by a thread. I'm obviously going to have to wean him but I really don't want to.

2Happy - did ds1 wean himself when you were pg or did you wean him?

Reggiee · 13/08/2008 18:01

Quiet here the past couple of days. Good job too as my internet connection has been down

UD hope you're getting rest during the day.
Eah did you have an early night then?

I'm off out later for a Thai. Can't wait! Was out last night too. Can't remember the last time I did two nights on the bounce.

Dragon remind me again when your CS is? Not long now? How you bearing up?

Dragonhart · 13/08/2008 19:56

Sooooooooooooooooooooo uncomfortable. Roll on next thu! (that when I have the cs btw rgee)

laughalot · 13/08/2008 20:24

What time dragon ?

canofworms · 13/08/2008 22:06

Hi everyone,

EandH found me on another thread so thought I'd venture back on here.

Trouble is, I leave it so long between posts that I always think I'm "butting in" when I'm back. [

Not much new to tell here. we're off to cyprus next week to visit my dad for a week so should be packing now! School hols always a busy time for us but I just love having them all at home

Lo growing up so quickly, she's got gorgeous curls and so identical to dd1 that I showed a picture of my oldest at this age to both dh and mil and they thought it was lo!

Look forward to catching up with you all

Lizzzombie · 14/08/2008 07:56

hi everyone.
Has anyone heard off of Jodie on here recently?
Her facebook profile has dramatically changed.
I've not seen her on MN for ages.
Hope she is ok.

Lizzzombie · 14/08/2008 08:08

here

If anyone knows her in RL give her a hug from me. It sounds awful.

eandh · 14/08/2008 08:26

I'd seen one of her threads recently, hope she and kids are okay.

Had a great day at Hastings visiting my great uncle yesterday, we went to a brewerts fayre for lunch that had huge soft play inside restuarant and kids were so well behaved and ate all of their dinners I was

Popping to town in a bit, but E & H curtrently prancing around the front room dancing to HSM2 soundtrack, have got a great video of them, I'll have to work out how to load it onto computer, Hattie has some serious rythem (sp) (and not sure where she gets that from as me and dh dont have a coordinated bone between us)

Am gatecrashing an april 07 meet up in few weeks as Eddas asked if we wanted to go to a farm near Eastbourne with them!

Lizzzombie · 14/08/2008 14:03

oh oh - which one??? Blackberry Farm, Sharnfold or Middle?//

LTH We should so gate crash too!

eandh · 14/08/2008 14:08

oo spooky Lizz just logged back on and you posted! Blackberry on wednesday 28th?? Come along we can have a mini jan 07/april 07 meet up

Today is long, first day we've not had any real plans, went to town (bargains in woolies for xmas) came home did 2 loads of washing, cut and strimmed grass, hung washing out (and got back in 1/2hour ago when it poured hard) painted part of the fireplace (gave up when Hattie got up from nap) and just made choc chip cookies, bread rolls (well they are 'rising' at the mo), fairy cakes and scones with E & H (although H got bored and wandered off to push eddas ds's teletubbies (shes borrowed them) around in a pushchair)

Lizzzombie · 14/08/2008 14:57

Pants!
I've got a mate coming down from London on the 28th. I really want to go there too, it supposed to be lovely.
Next time hey!?

  • Or next time you are going to hastings let me know and we could meet up there!

I'm very jealous that you have gotten bargains in Woolworths. I swear we are the only town in the UK with no Woolies. Its weird! (and no burger king either....all very odd)

The air show is on here atm, and its very surreal, dive bombing planes loop the looping and parachutists right above my house! (I don't need to pay the £10 fee to see it from the sea front!)

eandh · 14/08/2008 15:31

Wrong date its wednesday 27th!

Lizzzombie · 14/08/2008 18:52

RGEE - FLAT STANLEY IS ON JACKANORY ON CEEBEEBIES NOW!!!

BUT ITS THE STUPID PIN BOARD VERSION. WRONG WRONG!

eah - its the wednesday she is coming down on. grr!

vinorouge · 15/08/2008 08:39

Wahey Sylvie slept through last night! Wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not when I woke up this morning.

Have had my younger brother staying this week which has been hard work. He split up from his wife earlier this year so is still very up and down. I told him I was worried about the amount he is drinking and found out he has been self harming again.....He was quite happy to talk about both with me though, am going to try to make the effort to ring and see him more often.

I forgot to say that at the family wedding we went to last Fri there was a lovely touch of coffee and cakes at the church after the service. Lots of friends of the bride and groom had made the cakes so they were yummy.

UD - once my plans firm up for trip to Chesham I'll try to fit in a coffee stop with you if you are around.

E&H - we baked with ellen for the first time yesterday making choc cake and pastry. Her jam tarts are very thick! Better with custard than as a tart IYKWIM.

Gosh poor Jodie.

eandh · 15/08/2008 15:49

Woo hoo thats fab news Vino!

eandh · 15/08/2008 15:50

Sorry meant to say about Sylvie's sleeping (glad you and your brother are sorting things together)

Lizzzombie · 15/08/2008 17:19

go sylvie - long may it last! jam tarts and custard sound lush!

I love the coffee and cake idea for a wedding too. Really good idea whilst people are all hanging around.

We've just had the red arrows fly over our house doing stunts and leaving red white and blue trails in the sky. Very cool!

DJ has been facinated by the planes (its Eastbourne airshow atm) and when they go past he whispers "wow...cool!" its very funny!

eandh · 15/08/2008 19:47

We went to a wedding where there was tea, coffee, juice and cake whilst the photos were being done plus a little gated area with nice childrens toys in it (nice= clean, all the bits there and had batteries in them and they worked!)

at DJ's 'cool'

Reggiee · 15/08/2008 19:55

Missed Flat Stanley then, by, ohhhhh, a day or so. Wasn't the proper version though so I can live with that.

Eah got a real bargin in Woolies too. Got a Dora ready bed for a tenner. Thought lo could sleep in that when we're out and about as she's starting to get a bit too long for her travel cot.

DH is reading over my shoulder. Really offputting . What shall I say about him?

Canmummy have a great holiday and don't forgget to come back and tell us all about it.

Go Sylvie! Great news Vino. Hope she keeps it up. Glad to hear your db is opeing up to you too.

Not much going on here. House is a tip due to total redecoration. No major plans for the weekend. Yawn.

eandh · 15/08/2008 20:57

Oooo Rgeee bed sounds good

eandh · 15/08/2008 20:57

oh and 'wave' to Mr rgee!

Reggiee · 15/08/2008 21:07

Pmsl EaH

I do, of course, have the most well behaved daughter who would never leave her bed once going to it

Good job she's not quite outgrown her cot then!

eandh · 15/08/2008 21:12

although to be fair she will sleep in it as long as its not blown up and its on top of a normal bed

vinorouge · 15/08/2008 21:20

E&H and Reggie - E slept in her ITNG ready bed last Thurs and Fri night. First time, straight in and stayed there all night both nights! If only she would fall asleep in her bed at home every night, still goes to sleep on the floor sandwiched between her gate and door.

Lizz - I was thinking I didn't know anyone getting married to pass on the cake tip..soz I forgot you!

Had a quiet day at home ironing while watching the olypmics, did 3 loads of washing and all dry outside but that means more ironing to do.

My feet are in a bad way, really dry and cracked so have been soaking them in e's oilatum and slathered on her 'lard' cream - some horrid greasy stuff we have for her back that DH uses for his dry hand and I am now utilising. 'She'll' be needing some more soon!

I had bought some green and blacks choc on offer at sainsburys ready to make delias cheat choc cakes as I have the aunt bessies mashed potatoes in the freezer....but we needed some choc after our curry so one bar has already disappeared.

I waited for DH at nursery tonight to collect E as I was on way walking back from shops and he walked down from home, I had some time to kill so luckily the ice cream man passed and I was able to buy a 99 (nom nom) and there was an old lady to chat to.

Tomorrow we are going to watch DH's old football team play as they are playing a local team. I will be busy watching olympics in too.
