Mum2BabyRoo · 24/07/2008 10:15

hmmm something going on here - I wrote on the wall last night as did Ellie and someone else (sorry - can't remember who!) - and the messages aren't here anymore!

VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 10:58

DP' mum bought me some winnie-the-pooh muslins from toys r us which were huge.
Certainly big enough for swaddling.

OP posts:
Sal22 · 24/07/2008 11:12

ooh no VS, you hate wtp, don't you?

But thanks for the tip, I might have a look there, if big enough to swaddle they'll be perfect. Certainly easier than international post.

Mum2BR, I can still see your messages from last night? Might be your computer? Or were there more? Strange.

I gave Roelof some Rooibos tea with brown suger (he's constipated) with a spoon. He really seems to love it!

VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 12:20

MiL has just been round to name her kitten (she's called him Samson) and drop off dp's presents and cards for tomorrow, she said she git the muslins from sainsburys not toys r us.

OP posts:
Sal22 · 24/07/2008 12:25

ah, ok, thanks. It's kind of a relief, as dh behaves like a child in toys-r-us by wanting to buy all the boys stuff! grr.

Soph73 · 24/07/2008 12:47

Morning all. Hi Ellie - don´t worry about the temp of your room. All our rooms are way above 20 degrees all the time Sam wears a short-sleeved babygro (no legs) all day and night. No matter where I put him he sweats profusely but so did DS1 and he´s OK - and it´s not the hottest time of year yet!!

Sal22 - pleased you are back on track with feeding

Scampmum - big wave I´ll keep my fingers crossed with the sleeping.

Welcome bearmama

Scorpio - how are you? Would you mind being pregnant again so soon after Millie? You don´t have to answer that if you don´t want to

I think I´m going to have to go to the Drs as I´ve had 2 periods since having Sam and have gone back on the pill but inbetween the 1st and 2nd period I never really stopped bleeding. It´s only really light bleeding but I bleed for a couple of days (only later afternoon/evening) then nothing for a couple of days, etc, etc. It´s really peeing me off now! Plus I´ve got a dodgy tummy at the mo and feel sicky. Sorry, moan over

sagitta · 24/07/2008 13:18

Scamp - good news on the 11 to 5 thing. We have had two great nights - but last night was awful, right back to the dark days of old - although I resisted the temptations of sitting by the river!
A has got a hacking cough and has had for a good week, so we are going to the GP today. I am also going to get her out of the way-too-small crib, but she's going to have to go in the travel cot as DD is still in the proper cot, and I don't want to move her yet.

Sorry you're feeling crap, Soph. Do you now have a computer at home?

Sal - so happy for you about the BFing.

Sal22 · 24/07/2008 13:23

Soph, hope you feel better soon. Dodgy tummy annoying at the best of times, but rubbish in this weather.

TMI warning: I'm annoyed with my periods - currently on 2nd one since birth. Might be because I got all excited with 1st one being light and short... now this one is making up for it by being really heavy. Urgh!!! Hope it doesn't last longer than usual as well.

Sal22 · 24/07/2008 13:27

Morning, Sagitta (again me and my slow typing!) Hope it's possible for you to have a nap sometime during today. In this weather I'm quite jealous of you having a river to sit at! Hmm, actually, always jealous - I've got this thing about water. Fingers crossed for a better night for you tonight though.

Soph73 · 24/07/2008 13:27

Sagitta - no computer at home just yet, we are house-sitting for friends so am using theirs. We are currently looking after 3 dogs, 3 cats and one completely psycho kitten. What with them, one husband and 2 kids it´s a bit like Animal Hospital around here - I keep expecting Rolf Harris to pop his head round the door any minute

Sal - tell me about it, especially the weather over here! Although I think England´s having some good weather at the mo isn´t it?

Soph73 · 24/07/2008 13:30

Sal - I can relate to the water thing. We´re really lucky as our house is right by the sea and so´s this one.

Have your school hols started yet? I think I´m beginning to get to the end of my tether with DS1. He´s been off since 1st July and we´ve got another 4/5 weeks to go yet. Aaarrgghhh! There are all these wonderful activity clubs that kids can go to over here for the month of July but they´re just so expensive that DH and I would never be able to afford them so have to entertain DS1 on our own. Fortunately there are a couple of kids around for him to play with now but just arranging that´s a nightmare! Hey ho, deep breaths and all that

scorpio1 · 24/07/2008 13:37

Hi just skimming - Scampmum will email you!!

Hope everyone ok

Helllooooo to newbie (bearmama, yes??)

Um, no i wouldnt mind being pg. think it will happen before the year is out and that is cool

Soph73 · 24/07/2008 13:44

Scorpio - I knew you wanted more but didn´t think you were going to have any more if you see what I mean

Got to go.

scorpio1 · 24/07/2008 13:46

think dh is coming round, lol

VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 14:29

Here too Scorpio

DP is now looking at c-max's which can be turned into 7 seaters.

OP posts:
Sal22 · 24/07/2008 14:52

Scorpio and VS. At this side DH is now ready to have the next one (if it was off-the-shelf we would have gone late night shopping tonight if it was up to him, hehe), but after my last blip I keep thinking about the (very valid) comments of waiting until after teething etc etc before trying.

VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 15:22

I want to be pg by 6 months time. Then I won't need to buy an extra buggy (DS2 will be old enough to walk/buggy board or DC4 can go in the sling) a cot (at 18months DS2 is going into the bottom bunk in DS1's room as DD has bunk beds atm, which she is swapping with DS1) or anything.

I don't want two baby babies at the same time, if it takes another 2 months or so to be pg (I don't think I'm fertile yet and we are intermittently using condoms

OP posts:
VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 15:26

didn't mean to hit post then!!

I don't want two baby babies at the same time, if it takes another 2 months or so to be pg (I don't think I'm fertile yet and we are intermittently using condoms) then I'll be happy and ready to move house by the time the baby is born so that's our plan anyway.

OP posts:
sagitta · 24/07/2008 15:30

You're all mad

VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 15:37

I must be!
The HV was talking to em about this the otehr day and said 'Do you like being pregnant?' with a big smile.

My answer?
No, I hate it, 6 months of being sick constantly, no alcohol, swollen ankles, unable to sleep, looking nine months pg by the time I'm 6weeks gone, the last four months constant heart burn and feeling so huge I can't move, plus hoping beyond hope that I might be able to 'do' labour. Ending up at the last hurdle looking likethis

OP posts:
sagitta · 24/07/2008 16:28

nice pic! I've got a similarly yummy photo of me at 40 + weeks. But yet, despite all that, you're doing it again...its madness, madness.

Sal22 · 24/07/2008 16:39

Hehehe VS, cool photo. You look suitably ready to meet the new arrival!

Sal22 · 24/07/2008 16:42

Update on my latest me-me-me-ness: I've got sore nipples, and have never been so glad about it in my life!

VictorianSqualor · 24/07/2008 16:47

Do you have some lanisoh?

OP posts:
Sal22 · 24/07/2008 17:37

I have some somewhere, yes. Will do a search tonight once DH home and apply. But they're luckily not cracked or anything, just a little sensitive.
