scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 15:21

Loire valley; in a gite with a pool. Have been before lots, but have FF previous dc so was never on my radar iyswim.

DonDons · 20/08/2008 15:27

oh am so jealous think of me in skeggy!

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 15:31

we did butlins last year; decided to go abroad this year as a family - we havent been abroad as a family yet...we went to Menorca when i was pg with ds2; i went to France alone the year we got together (with ds1), DH goes abroad sometimes (recenty Norway), so nice to go somewhere together!! Was thinking of Cyprus for next year; its lovely there, DH hasn't been there before.

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 15:32

This year DH wanted to go to Thailand but couldn't as i was due that week.......guess when next years trip is - over Mimi 1st bday! Think he may go for a week before her bday instead of the full 2 iyswim

DonDons · 20/08/2008 15:37

We usually go away for our birthdays and Amelie's is the day after her dad's so I iamgine we will be away for hers too! Sounds lovely being away together and I hop ehtta the weather is good for you (can't be any worse then here anyway).

Have put some photos on if you are interested!

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 15:38

awwwww she is so yummy and chubby!!!!

dh would go alone, but he is NOT missing her bday!

DonDons · 20/08/2008 15:39

no, I wouldn't let mine go either!

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 15:40

i want a bumbo for Mimi; does Amelie like hers?

DonDons · 20/08/2008 15:44

loves it...for about 30 minutes at a go (but then again, that is the rule for pretty much everything she does).

I often sit her on the kitchen side when I am cooking so that she can watch. She also sits in it on the sofa next to us so that we can read books to her etc

It was recommended to me by a friend (I htought they were big potties durgh!) and it was a good buy. ALso useful when weaning apparently

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 15:45

lol @ big potty

I will have to look in my local paper for one, she likes to sit up to seewhats going on.

Got to go and get the boys now

DonDons · 20/08/2008 15:47

loads on e-bay

V1KK1M · 20/08/2008 15:53

Hello and thanks for the congrats and advice - very reassuring

I have started to feel sicky and very tired but I think that's part and parcel of it!

VS - As we only had sex once (yes once as I was trying to avoid getting pregnant) it worked out that I ovulated on day 10 so I would just have it as much as possible. I am most upset that I missed out on that bit!!!

I have just brought DD a nursery set from e-bay (cotbed, wardrobe, draws and bedside cabinet) for £150 so I only have to get a new matress now!

V1KK1M · 20/08/2008 15:55

SCorpio - I was given the Bumbo and I brought the table attachment. It is great and I use it for feeding. I find I take it in the car now so when she needs feeding when I'm out it makes life a bit easier.

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 16:10

V1kk1 - were/are you bfing and got pg?

V1KK1M · 20/08/2008 16:15

No - gave up bfeeding after 3 days.

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 16:21

Sorry, hope you don't think i was being too nosey, just wondered about myself really, bfing and ttc, and how it works.

I have my eye on P&T Vibe

V1KK1M · 20/08/2008 16:58

I don't mind. This was a total accident. I used the ovulation sticks to 'avoid' the time but I started testing on day 11 and never had a positive so presume it happened on day 10.

Also my LMP date was 24th July and I got a Positive test on 15th Aug - 1 week early so my cycle must have been really messed up. I will keep you posted on the due date as I have no idea. Going on traditional calculations it will be 30th April!

Good luck TTC and I would just enjot it

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 17:00

oh im being v relaxed about it,

SuzeM · 20/08/2008 18:33

Congratulations V1KK1M. EllieG, do you put Molly into her cot as soon as she starts to show signs of tiredness? If I catch dd just when she starts to get tired, she doesn't cry and goes off to sleep happily, but if she gets overtired, she does cry.

Have been looking at the photos, all the babies are gorgeous.

My dd will be an only but not lonely, I hope! She is all I want, I must be weird, but I have no desire to have another child.

She had her third set of shots today but seems fine.

We were in Dublin last week, dd was a big hit with my family and very well behaved on the plane so I am keen to go on longer trips now.

Re high chairs, I've just ordered a Tripp Trapp.

SalLikesCoffee · 20/08/2008 19:37

SuzeM, of course she won't be lonely, but I guess you know that! My sister only wanted one child for 7 years, and my little niece is the happiest, coolest, most confident little girl in the world! (They decided to try for another one after that, but it defitely wouldn't have meant a lonely child if they didn't). I suspect if it was just up to him my dh would probably have stopped at one too, but he's fine with one (or two, he just doesn't know that yet) more ).

scorpio1 · 20/08/2008 20:00

We are going to order a tripp trapp; but not yet as its till 8 weeks until weaning time. They have a new one out; were you can mix and match the colours - im getting beech with red (unisex, lol)

Also may look on ebay....for a 'normal' one.

SalLikesCoffee · 20/08/2008 20:39

The Tripp Trapps are lovely, aren't they? And although you can use it for years, I liked the fact that they had an incredibly good resale value. Our choice came down between the Svan and TT in the end.

Denny185 · 20/08/2008 21:44

Omg massive congratulations V1KK1M bet that was a shock.

Scorpio dont know why your looking at hols for Cyprus next year you prob wont be allowed to fly and BTW didnt you just get a bugaboo? You are a secret buggy collector arn't you?

All the pics r great, these LO's r all growing so fast, I realised the other day that I've had more of my mat leave than I have left to go . Could quite happily stay at home this time, shame the mortgage needs paying.

I have a friend coming up from Wales tomorrow for a few days, really looking forward to it, havnt seen her for a couple of years. Were off to the zoo (weather allowing) on Fri for DS's 2nd b-day, can't believe how quickly it's come around.

gemprincess · 20/08/2008 23:21

Congrats V1KK1M, Im feeling really broody but cant have any more now. Guess i should just be happy with the 4 i have. Little man is enough of a worry at the moment bless him and these holidays are really startin' to dragg.Been looking at all your pics etc, i really must set aside some time to put on a profile and pics. Its taken me long enough to master ebay!! Has anyone here got the i candy pear? mine is nothing but trouble at the moment, really cant be bothered to go back to shop to complain.
Vs and scorpio am i right in thinking you tryin for another? VS are you going to go for a vba3c? sorry all these questions, right nosey cow i can be.
