Glad you got through in one piece Izzy Sorry, I've forgotten is this for you doing childcare from your home? Childminding or similar?

Well Jamlet discovered today that she could go out of the living room under her own steam and has been exploring the hallway, the spare room, and the dining room. As long as I don't think she can seriously hurt herself I try to let her get on with it, and she had such fun But I did stop her eating dried up cat food from where the cat didn't finish her breakfast

Seansgirlthesequel · 04/07/2008 16:39

Andi at the 8am shopping You haven't got any girls Boden dresses 6-7 in the sale you'd like to sell to me???

ignore me Andi I pretty sure you 2 DSs!! so was joking.....

Izzybel · 04/07/2008 17:12

It's for childminding Jammy . Glad your DD has had fun exploring Is she walking properly now? I remember her taking her first steps. DD still hasn't taken any steps on her own. Is she the last one? She realises that she is standing on her own and then sits down.

Hello SG

Wonder how Natty's DH is.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/07/2008 17:22

I didn't realise that CMs had ofsted inspections. Shows what I know.

No the jamlet isn't walking. She bum shuffles around. Steadily and determindly. The mums at baby group yesterdat hadn't seen anything quite like it. She loves to stand but needs support (me, sofa, tv stand etc) and can walk a bit holding my hands, though rather wobbly.

justRia · 04/07/2008 17:43

Just checking in to see if any news from natty.

DS2 did fantastically in his first assembly. He sat nicely and spoke really clearly. And he was singing and doing the actions

Have just finished cleaning my new buggy and it's lovely. Can't wait to use it. If people cleaned things they would be able to sell them for far more (though in this case I'm glad they didn't). I am going to do some ebay listing tonight and DH and I may do a car boot sale next Friday.

I got my final bloods result today. I have to repeat in two weeks as my calcium a bit low. I don't know what that means

Jammy....I hope you're feeling better, but if you don't feel up to it, than don't kill yourself over a few quid. I for one think you have more than proved yourself with all the training you have done and that has earned the sponsorship alone.

I have walked miles today (well about 5) but it feels like loads....and I forgot suncream and am feeling a little bit crispy!

Ooops started this post at 4 o'clock before I went to the docs! Will catch up now!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/07/2008 18:27

Well if I feel up to it I'll do the 10km walk - about half the planned distance. And if not then you're right, it's not worth making myself ill over. Hopefully I can get myself rehydrated tonight & tomorrow and a bit of food inside of me.

DH has gone out so I've got a nice quiet evening once I get the jamlet to bed Got to finish sewing my bra but then should be back to hear what's happening.

lackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2008 18:39

i suppose you can always set off, and then drop out if you feel ropey....just drink lots between now and then, and get some dyoralite and oodles of lucozade!

DD just took four steps . She was watching what was going on outside and didn't even realise she was doing it. Clever girl.

Had her at the HVs this afternoon. Her right foot is turning in when she is walking and she sort of throws it out and goes round in circles if you are holding her hand. The HV says there is a slight turn in on her foot and that we have to let her go barefoot as much as possible and then they will review her on a couple of months when hopefully she will be fully walking.

Natty, I hope things went well today.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/07/2008 18:43

Yay for baby Daisy!! Hope her foot is ok though.

Natty? If you're out there, hope all is OK.

justRia · 04/07/2008 20:01

yippee for shainice!

You will [robably get better quicker if you don't fret jammy, happy sewing.

Hello ria. How are you?

lackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2008 20:11

Hi Ria

us June ladies turn up in the most unexpected places

HellHathNoFury · 04/07/2008 21:32

Jammy I think you have a virus

HellHathNoFury · 04/07/2008 21:32

I just got sent a weird email from you

HellHathNoFury · 04/07/2008 21:35

It's a spam email that looks like it has come from your address book

lackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2008 21:59

me too jammy!

I've got her mobile No, i'll send a text.

justRia · 04/07/2008 22:06

Is that DKMA?

Hi fury.

Hi jammy, I'm fine thanks (now I've sat down with a glass of wine!) Just quicly washed a couple of floors as my local dsis is coming over tomorrow. (She is the min earner in their house, is a bit middle aged and has no toys anywhere to be seen downstairs. They even have a no-kids front room - my house is like an explosion in a nursery in every room. SOmetimes I feel a bit when she comes, which for some reason isn't often). How are you feeling now?

DH is off to hospital with DF at 5.30am tomorrow (he couldn't face staying with MIL, my DF is far more gracious about his favours, DH would feel obliged to offer to pay FIL for the lift I think, which is )

OP posts:
justRia · 04/07/2008 22:08

oops, not that there is anything wrong with my dsis being the main earner, I was just comparing her ordered busy life to my chaotic one. Sorry in advance for any unintentional offence

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2008 22:12

hi ria....good luck to DH for tomorrow. and ikwym about having people with ordered lives in your house. It's why I hate my MIL coming over. She dusts the outside of her windowsill FFS

justRia · 04/07/2008 22:22

In that respect MIL doesn't bother me. She has the filthiest bathroom ever, and I'm sure her hairbrush is a shrine to when FIL had hair, but she "had 4 kids under 5, waist length hair, a job etc etc", and DH wasn't fit for public socialisation when I met him!) (though MIL irons socks and towels?)

My DM likes clean outside windowsills though...

OP posts:
justRia · 04/07/2008 22:23

thanks for the DH wishes. He is on edge, I can tell (he has a problem with needles). All will be better after tomorrow, because at least we should know whats going on or not with in a couple of weeks.

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2008 22:25

maybe it's a generational thing then?

there is nothing in my MILs house that isn't cleaned to within an inch of its life. She hoovered the day she came back from her hols and I'm pretty damn sure she will have done it the day she left as well....wtf is that all about, or am I just missing something?

justRia · 04/07/2008 22:43

Is your MIL a "professional housewife"? My DM is. To the point of obsession, then she slips her standars slightly to mine and I think it's ok so I relax a bit...

(I used to be very like her, but now I have too many children and a DH)

OP posts:
justRia · 04/07/2008 22:47

Gnite all, I'm off to watch midsomer murders with DH.

hope all well natty.

have a great weekend.

GOOD LUCK JAMMY (if I'm not back before you walk)

Trying to think of someting impressive, delicious, easy and slimming world to cook tonight. But will probably end up with pizza

It will be a long day. Off to a church fete after lunch if the rain holds off.
