New thread!

OP posts:

Sorry that last line didn't make sense 'I have say Lizzie is driving me up the wall and she has only been 2 weeksshock only another 6 weeks to go .' As in she has now finished pre-school and doesn't go to school now until the 11th september.

lizziemun · 31/07/2008 07:42

Tasha

I'm glad both ds2 and dp are ok. Your dp must have been terifeid.

GillL · 31/07/2008 10:50

Day 27 and AF still not here. Starting to panic now. I'm supposed to be focussing on documentation and training today as it has to be finished today but it's really hard when I've got other things on my mind. Please send me good vibes.

We've come to the conclusion that we're putting ds to bed too early. He still seems to need a nap around 6:30 but he's waking up an hour or so later and then is wide awake and happy. We decided it's not worth leaving him upstairs. It means we say goodbye to any time alone in the evening - although that seems to only get us into trouble these days so maybe it's for the best.

Agree with you conker - it's so nice to have the thread busy again.

Glad sleep is better these days meandmyjoe. I don't think I'll ever get ds to sleep 11 or 12 hours but 10 would be nice (that's all I could get out of dd).

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare tasha. Hope everyone is ok and the boys not too shaken up. Not sure where to get size 0 shoes. I got ds a pair of beach shoes in Woolworths at the weekend. I think they were labelled as 12-18 months but I don't know what size that equates to.

tasha22 · 31/07/2008 11:25

i wouldnt mind 10 hours either lol. everyone is fine they were all shocked at the time and ds1 tells everyine he sees 'dylan jumped into the lagan' lol

gill how many naps would your ds take? mine takes one around now and until recently he took one around 4 but dropped that out

he just woke better go

shrinkingsagpuss · 31/07/2008 11:48

Can i come in?

shrinkingsagpuss · 31/07/2008 11:51

HELLO!!!!!!!!

Only scrolled down a little, bbit, may have missed key things!

James - how are ya? Hope the meds are kicing in - PA hey? Nasty, no wonder your brain went into melt down. did I see PND too? Not unusual, I was still depressd when DS was 15 months!!

TT - Bloody hell, up the duff already!! WEll done dear . Hope you are feeling well. Looks like we'll have to do another meet up, just to see TT's bump!! maybe somewhere nice and child friendly?

Right, cooking lunch, but will pop back later for a better look.

Think we need a "happy birthday babies thread" tomorrow though?

conkertree · 31/07/2008 11:56

gill - i have the same dilemma as you - ds seems really tired about 6 or 6.30 but if i let him sleep then, there is no way he would go to bed till much later - i'm afraid i may get a bad mummy mark now but i keep him up.

We usually go to the park after tea - if he's in the house he's a nightmare, but as soon as we go outside he's fine, so we do that. Then he's usually ready for getting ready for bed about 7 and bed at 7.30.

Why dont you do a pg test now that af is late? At least you'd know one way or the other. good luck.

tasha - glad the boys (and your dp) is fine.

lizziemum - gosh school - thats a whole other world just now but i suppose it will come quickly enough - is she looking forward to it?

good to hear the sleeping is better meandmyjoe - am hoping ds will do the same soon - he at least stayed in his own bed last night which is better than the last few.

was having a look at our old stats thread to see whose babies were first, but lots that were the early ones dont post anymore, so meandmyjoe - is your wee one the first on Tuesday?

conkertree · 31/07/2008 11:57

hi sagpuss - nice to see you. How are things? You certainly sound cheerful.

My2Weegirls · 31/07/2008 12:54

hi all - bit more time today so have caught up but have forgotten everything i was going to say. so apologies if i miss anyone out

gill - if you are stressing then that may make you late...agree with conker get a pg test on the way home.

james . hope the drugs start to woek very soon. you've had a lot to cope with in the past year.

helibee - big hugs to you too. and you were going to text me you address....

tashsa - bloody hell! i'm glad they are both ok, how scary is that!

sagpuss - nice to hear from you - door is always open

conkertree · 31/07/2008 13:54

lets start one my2weegirls

GillL · 31/07/2008 15:01

tasha - ds varies with naps. He usually sleeps on the way to mum's in the morning but only for 10 - 15 minutes and wakes up as soon as I get him out of the car. Often mum will tell me he has 2 more naps but sometimes he's only had one. When I'm at home with him he has at least 3 naps. Some last for 30 minutes, others over 2 hours.

You're not doing anything wrong conker keeping him up. What's the point in putting him to bed when he's not tired? Dd rarely goes to bed before 8:30 but most other mums I talk to tell me their dcs go to bed at 7pm because they must have their evening to themselves! All kids are different and they constantly change their habits. We just have to adapt with them.

AF isn't late until tomorrow - it will be 28 days. I'll stop in at the shops tomorrow night if it's still not here. Thanks for all the support - it is definitely helping.
