Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

Luke decided that after being 4 times to playgroup and only getting upset when they had to put the toys away to come home and asking to go every day when he was not going, that he didnt want to go this morning and got really upset. Had to just walk out and leave him as I thought it would be better for him and I knew I was aobut to bawl so didnt want to make it worse. They said he cried on and off but was ok part of the time. He kept saying he was worried about me. Felt awful but he seemed ok about going tomorrow so hope it is just that he is still tired from our busy weekend.

He has also been a little brat all day so I have put them to bed early hoping that he feels better in the morning.

Thanks for the link Urban, will look at them too. Have a load of things to sell before baby comes so hopefuly will have enough after sorting the bedroom out to get one.

Wilkiepedia · 24/06/2008 22:08

FGS - it just gets better and better in this house! J has a temp of 39.2 tonight. Terrified me - rang NHS direct who avised Calpol and fluids. He is a bit cooler now (38.4) but still. Fuck. Never rains but it pours eh.

Had interview for really good NHS job today - fingers crossed. Will find out in a week.

DH - poor Luke although agree with you to just leave them rather than keep going back to them - defo makes it worse - breaks your heart but better in long run!

x

theSuburbanDryad · 25/06/2008 10:05

Oh no Wilkie - hope he is feeling better today! Is it his teeth? When we first moved Z had such high temperatures he would fit and scared the bejeezus out of me! Bloody kids, eh?

ladytophamhatt · 25/06/2008 12:54

Just gatecrashing again, I'm such a fairweather january 07 thread mum. Soory.

Lizzzzz, i'm going to brighton on friday (shopping spree plannned as its my b'day, I'm a real grown up now, I'll be 35) and thought I'd go to your old bra shop to get some undies but I have such titchy norks is it really worth it?
Do they do bigger busts mostly? I'm only about a 34a so I'm not sure if its a waste of time.

Will I get laughed out of ths shop?

theSuburbanDryad · 25/06/2008 14:21
ladytophamhatt · 25/06/2008 14:34

actually, just looked on the site and it seems they do from aD cup upwards so I'll deffo give teh shop a wide berth.

theSuburbanDryad · 25/06/2008 15:16

LTH - one of my colleagues Gok Wan'd me the other day and hoiked my boobs up from behind with my bra straps. The difference was stunning but Bravissimo nursing bras are stupid expensive

theSuburbanDryad · 25/06/2008 16:48

For Wilkie

ladytophamhatt · 25/06/2008 17:07

Well Done wilkie.

When do you start?
whats the job?

I feel quite envious of all you lot with grown up jobs.
I'm getting abit bored of small people now

wonderwomanakaeandh · 25/06/2008 18:55

I'm back - still bunged up and sound like I am talking through my nose (which is very red) but feeling loads better, typocal that dh has now decided he has a sore throat and hurt his back today when picking Hattie up. I got a few hours sleep here andthere but it made me realise how useless dh is dependent they are on me, I was consulted on what to dress them in , what to feed them, when to put H down for nap and I had to do school run as they've never seen Chris so wasnt sure if they'd let him in and he wouldnt have a clue what to pack for her etc etc. Anyway tomorrow afternoon taking them swimming and off to the beach on Friday (Hastings) and then to my great uncles for tea

Oh and forgot had to take Ellie for her preschool jabs on monday afternoon (when I felt like shit) she had to have 3 injections and the nurse was a moody moany cow who didnt even try to hide the needle, she cried after the 1st, screamed after the 2nd and was hysterical after the 3rd (she'd really tensed up so that must have hurt alot) and the nurse said to her 'if you carry on screaming you'll give me a headache' I replied well you have just stuck 3 needles in her and I asked for a plaster as there was blood from the 3rd jab and she said no I was so mad at her attitude (few other things whilst we were there) that I came home and complained through my nasally voice to the practice manager.

Vino - saw the pics of Sylvie on facebook, shes gorgeous

Wilkie - well done well done well done well done (and sorry I hadnt replied to any of your texts this week )

UD - how you feeling, are you still having bloods done?

DH- will paypla later when I have eaten and I went through all of the upset etc when Ellie started preschool but after 5 weeks she accepted it and now moans when she isnt there keep perservering and its not long till the holidays!!

2happy - umm cant remember what you posted about but hi

Rgee - how did the run go?

LTH - I have to admire you I couldnt be a sahm they drive me dolally (even more so when dh has week off work and we're not away as theres more mess to tidy up)

Reggiee · 25/06/2008 19:18

Thanks for the tip off Eah - off to check out Vino's FB......
Vino - dd2 (hahahahaha - how weird does that sound?) has dark hair!!! Love the photo of the two girls together.

Eah - glad you're feeling more normal. It's crap that you don't even get the chance to lie down properly when you feel rubbish. Take it easy this week.

Well done Wilkie!!! More details please. Do you get Fridays off?

LTH I think Tammy Girl does nice bras (Ponders does Tammy Girl still exist. I got my first bra from there - 28a I think. I love Bravissimo and will pay a spillion pounds for my humdingers to look remotely like they defy gravity)

Run went fine. In a sick way I enjoyed it. Took ages, obviously, but I managed to run (in a shuffling manner) for 6km before walking. And my legs don't ache today .

Thanks for the congrats!! It is a administration role supporting the PAs and the directors. It is a bt of a step down from what I did before BUT it is a foot in the door of the NHS. My ultimate aim is to be either a PA or Project Manager within the NHS once I have finished the Wilkie Brood.

Feeling decidedly left out at not being able to see Vino's facebook photos but then I get to see S in the flesh next Thurs! Whoo!

EAH - glad you are feeling better. I would have complained about the nurse too - what an utter cow. I don't understand why some people do a caring job with an attitude like that

I have mega PMT and J is still not 100% so very very wittery and I am just not in the mood. Bad mother.

RGee - well done on the 10K! That is fantastic.

theSuburbanDryad · 26/06/2008 08:17

Not in the mood at the Urban house today either Wilkie, so I shouldn't worry about it. Today so far I have been attacked with a didgeridoo, had weetabix flung at me and have ignored Z pouring his juice down himself. He now has a soaking wet pyjama top. That'll learn him. Um, yeah, cause a 17 month old can really make that connection.

Remember when they were cute and did nothing all day? I miss those days...

katw3kitts · 26/06/2008 09:37

I know what you mean UD..... but before you know it you'll be doing it all again !

Congrats Reggie and Wilkie ! I don't think I could achieve what either of you two have.

So E is taking after her mum in the bargain hunting stakes then .... I had a bit of a bargain at the school fair on saturday, a bob the builder phone and some leap pad things all for 50p ! It was actually 40p but I felt too embarrassed to demand the change . The leap pad is a bit clever for him, even though it is abundantly clear he is a very advanced child and I am somewhat of a pushy mother . I think I might put it away for his birthday present..... or is that just cheap ?

Had a half attempt at stopping BF the other day, but it didn't really work.... I loong for the days when I can wear a decent bra again. I dread to think what size I am now. I must be wearing the wrong size again by now.

We've been having a spate of nappy rash recently, theres just one patch that keeps coming back. It heals up almost and then he poos and it all becomes red and raw and hurts when I wash it . I've been using metanium sporadically, and sudo creme but any suggestions gratefully received.

BALLS DH just phoned me, been in a crash driving to work. Thinks he's OK thank god, but car probably shot as shunted about 40 yards in the rrear by a range rover by driver who didnt see pedestrian crossing changing to red. Why do some people not concentrated when driving ??? Luckily no pedestrians crosssing or it could have been far worse. He drives a 2 seater sports car and the roof was down, so you can imagine the difference in size when it hit. Shit thats changed my plans for the day !

Shimmer · 26/06/2008 12:30

CONGRATULATIONS VINO! Fantastic news. I hope you and little Slyvie are doing well. More news and pictures soon please!

Hmmm interesting about Flat Stanley RGee... something definitely a bit mysterious going on there. I think as you said they must have changed it for some reason.

Shop progress is coming along slowly but steadily. I think we are going to be called Long Ago and Far Away. What do you think? I like it because it sounds quite magical and story-ish. But a few people (mainly my mum who is being very negative about the whole thing) have said it's too long and hard to remember. What do you lot think? ? HONESTLY... as I'm sure you will be

Hope your DH is okay kat.

Shimmer · 26/06/2008 12:32

Ops sorry Vino, obviously Sylvie, not Slyvie. That would be very odd...

Lizzzombie · 26/06/2008 14:28

Hullo!

Shimmer- I thinks its a lovely idea for a name. Where abouts are you thinking of having it? Have you ever been to the Unicorn childrens bookshop in Richmond? (next to Dickens & Jones) - I'm pretty sure its still there...?

UD - Are you still a 34F? Do you want me to sort you out a bra from work? £14 - minus discount.

Rgee - I too am willing to pay through the nose to have my tits hoiked up to where they once were. I work with a young girl who is massive, about 30 J and refuses to buy the bras there as they are too expensive, but she spends loads on gig tickets and drinking etc...I don't understand!

LTH - THERE IS NO WAY ON THIS EARTH THAT YOU ARE A 34A. Come shopping in Eastie and I will sort you out in Debs/M&S etc and I bet you are a 30/32" C or something. - Just to let you all know, LTH is a titchy tiny person, no more than a size 10, very petite. I however am a huffing puffing 14/16...and if I can squeeze myself into a size 32" back then you certainly can!

Vino - Photos are adorable. (almost) made me broody!!!

ladytophamhatt · 26/06/2008 15:20

I wish I was a 10 Lizzz, I'm finding some of my size 12 jeans a tad tight nowadays.

Still a 10-12 on top so I guess you're right there.

I'll let you know teh next time I'm coming to EB and we'll meet up.

I forgot teh congartualtions to vino ealrlier. I hoep its all going smoothly and you're enjoying motherhood to 2.

theSuburbanDryad · 26/06/2008 17:41

KW3 - hope dh is ok. Best wishes from here.

LTH - you are so thin that you're practically 2D.

theSuburbanDryad · 26/06/2008 17:52

I just have to share with you that Z is practically hyperventilating with excitement over the fact that he has a Babybel with his tea. The same as he does every night. Perhaps tonight he just really wanted it? Strange child...

wonderwomanakaeandh · 26/06/2008 20:19

ud - was it slightly different or just the same as normal, tis amusing what they are entertained by

Well Hattie is still awake farting about, she normally sleeps in the morning but didnt today so napped 1-2pm and just doesnt look tired I tried rapid return for 40minutes at 7pm but then I was hungry so am having dinner and then she is going to bed and I bet she'll still be up between 5 and 5.30
