Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

I think you remembered it wrong, Reg, I used to love the book too but he was definitely squished by something falling on him in the night in my book (so am now terrified that the enormous pic of Bamburgh Castle we have above our bed will fall and squish us one of these days!)

Dragonhart I owe you £2 from the sweepstake as you were the nearest and I still havent paypald my money to wilkie

Laughalot text today Aiden has come out in chicken pox and they are everywhere (including in his bum ) she is panicking about Lauren as if shes going to catch it it'll be when they are due to fly home and the insurance only covers one of them staying so she needs lots of positive 'do not appear spotty until you are home' vibes

Lizzzombie · 22/06/2008 20:57

Congratulations Vino!!! I was looking at the baby girls clothes in H&M today thinking...I wish I could buy some...and then - pop, out comes DD2 for you! Hope all is well and looking forward to photos soon!

LAL - you poor thing! Definatley keeping fingers crossed for you that no spots appear until you get home.

RGEE - I am positive flat Stanley got run over by a steam roller. I'm sure of it. I wouldn't have believed it if a pin board had fallen on him. Thats a lame idea! (am off ot investigate now)

Lizzzombie · 22/06/2008 21:02

Well, thought I was about to die for the last 24 hours - had the worst migraine I have ever had - seriously girls, I had to tell MrWilkie to type Vino's news on the thread (including capital letters, commas - I am such a stickler!) I am going to have to do something more about it as my bet blockers clearly aren't working.

My sis had to do a mercy rush from Manchester at 7am to pick J up for me as DH was at work all day. I then spent the day on the sofa puking and attempting to sleep but it honestly felt like someone was cutting my head in half with a rusty saw.

Anyway, VINO - I am so happy for you. Can't wait to meet her. You are so chilled - I wanna be like you with the next one, popping (although she was HUGE) her out and then on MN in less than 24 hours. V impressive. You do realise we need to full gory labour details.

Dragonhart - post your paypal address and we can all send out £2 to you - I will send yours back that you sent to me. Well done!!

UD - how did the bloods go? When do you get the results?

WE MOVE ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!! Whoooooo. It's been a long time coming but am soooooooo excited.

theSuburbanDryad · 23/06/2008 09:38

Vino - i am so impressed that you are on MN already! Sylvie is obviously a true MN baby!

Got the blood tests results yesterday afternoon but didn't update as we were at my mum's for the day. The hormone levels did raise but not by as much as they would expect, so I had another scan this morning (v early - poor old Z was dropped off at nursery before 8am! ) where we saw the little bean and it looked much bigger! It's now 8mm, and there's a yolk in the sac. There's no foetal cord though, and I don't know if that means the spinal cord or the umbilical cord. LTH thinks it's where the sac is attached to the placenta but I'm off to ask the MN experts now!!

Thanks for all your good wishes - I keep telling myself it's no higher risk than it would normally be, it's just that we found out so early! Whatever happens it'll be fine though - now i know it's not ectopic I'm much happier.

Wilkiepedia · 23/06/2008 10:30

Did they say fetal pole?? If so that is the central nervous system and what will eventually become the spine IIRC

katw3kitts · 23/06/2008 10:35

Congrats Vino, I am really happy for all of you.

It sounds like you are a bit of a pro now

Make sure you rest and take it easy, you are a mother of two now !

2Happy · 23/06/2008 14:20

Congratulations Vino, fab news
Less fab news Lal , unspotty vibes heading your way.

theSuburbanDryad · 23/06/2008 18:06

Yes it was spinal pole!

Hope your head feels better Wilkie - when was your last eye test?

Wilkiepedia · 23/06/2008 18:42

Just about getting there thanks UD - been a shocker of 48 hours. Had my eyes tested about a year ago but unfortunately it's herediatary - my mum, sis and grandad all suffer, I'm just gonna need to find tablets that work. I have to say though yesterday I was really crying saying to DH what if it's a brain tumour. Sometimes these horrible thoughts just pop into your head.

UD - could they see a heartbeat? They could see one with J at 6 weeks.

wonderwomanakaeandh · 23/06/2008 19:00

we're on annual leave this week and I've got flu, every bone aches and I cant breathe through my nose

I'm going to bed in a mo

Dragonhart · 23/06/2008 19:43

Congratulations Vino! V impressed with the quick recovery and post on MN! Hope they are getting on well and you are getting a chance to sit down for 5 mins.

I am tired out after long day yesterday at a ist communion and party after in Brentwood (3 hours away) We did it in a day and after the wedding in Bognor Regis last weekend and DH working overtime in the week, I think I could sleep for a week!

Poor you Laughalot. Hope A is not too bad with them and L does not get them while you are away. And that you have a good time despite them.

My paypal address is [email protected] have to say I thought I had gone too big! Well done Vino!

Rgee- I have only ever known a Rachael so assumed it was the way til we looked in the books! Presumed it was like Michael! Met a baby called Coco at the weekend. Tried my hardest to make my smirk look like an innocent, tender look but not sure if I pulled it off!

Urban- Glad all is well and getting bigger. Am I right in thinking that you are/were really into slings. I want to sell my tommy one and get a material one and was wondering what the best one to get is?

Dragonhart · 23/06/2008 19:49

EAH- Poor you, hope that you feel a bit better after a good sleep and that it doesnt last long.

Wilkie- I suffer from migranes related to my hormones so had them really bad when a teenager, then when I get pregnant, after I had Ruth and Luke, then when I stopped bf both times. The only thing that helps me is (trying to) sleep. Tried strong drugs for migranes and they just made me ill. Is it worth looking at your diet? I know that certain things trigger it for some people? Also, not sure if it is your bag but I had a friend who went to a homeopath(is that right, the ones that look at your whole lifestyle and health) and she went from having migranes that lasted for days to having one or two a year.

theSuburbanDryad · 23/06/2008 20:05

DH - would the new sling be for the baba or for Ruth? If for Ruth I would recommend a ring sling (here but if it's for the new baba then i would recommend a wrap like the Didymos - in fact, the wraps are really good cause you can use them for any age of child! I'm borrowing my friend's Didymos for this baby if all goes well

Wilkiepedia · 23/06/2008 20:12

Poor EAH Not nice. Hope you feel better soon!

DH - will go and PayPal you in a minute

I might go and see a homeopath. I don't think there is anything I am eating that is triggering it - I have cut out alcohol which was a definite trigger but cheese and choc are supposed to be main culprits but I don't get them after eating it. The painkillers I took yesterday made me puke - the only other option the GP gave me was Imigran (sp?) but I cn't take it with my ADs as they don't interact together. The awful thing is that I just don't know when they are gonna strike and am terrified that they are going to get worse when I am pg next.

Reggiee · 23/06/2008 21:00

Wayhayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Vinoooooooo. Hope you got my message. See you soon xx.

Lizz / 2H / PCF the Flat Stanley mystery deepens. Do you think it is only the 'oldies' who remember references to steam rollers, or is it a US version....? Where's Shimmer when you need her?

Poor lal. Fingers crossed for a non spotty Ruth.

Wilkie are your migraines bad when you are stressed? Get well vibes sending your way. Were they worse when you were pg with J.

Awww Eah. Was going to ask what your plans were for this week. So hope its not flu and is a short lived virus that a good night's sleep cures.

UD really pleased all went well at your last scan.

Good couple of days. My legs still kill from my 10km race but got round.

Dragonhart · 23/06/2008 21:30

Rgee- I remember being forced to do 10k at school when we did athletics and a student teacher who was helping and didnt know us asked if I was asthmatic(sp?)! and that was when I was fit and healthy!

Wilkie- Doctor told my brother (who also gets them) that fizzy drinks and sweetners can trigger them too. So told him to avoid diet coke ect. Normal coke or tea help mine a little which is apparently because they are caused by constricting of the blood vessels in your brain so the cafine does something to help it (think it opens up the blood vessels but not sure).
