Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

DH/Reg - I think it is daft spelling Rachael (sorry Reg if that is your name spelling), I think Rachel keeps life simple!

Nothing to report. Am a very boring person.

UD - good luck for tomorrow. Hope all goes well! What time is it?

theSuburbanDryad · 19/06/2008 19:37

Scan is 9:45 tomorrow morning. Who's going to have MN access at around half 10 so i can txt and tell you what's going on (whose number i've got, natch)

So that's either Rats, Wilkie, Lizz or Shimmer (assuming none of you have secretly changed your numbers since i got them to stop the crazy Stalker Dryad! )

Lizzzombie · 19/06/2008 20:04

UD - exciting! Can't wait to hear what they say! (btw - what size arse are you & I will look for bargain work trousers for you)

DH - How about Ray-Chelle or Raychalle? Or like Seycelle? (too chavtasic for you?!)

Quick pill question: If you are on your 'period break' from your pill and no period is around. If you have a bonk - can you get pregnant?

Wilkiepedia · 19/06/2008 20:33

Lizz - No re pill question. You can't.

UD - I will update if you like cos am at work and will be bored!

theSuburbanDryad · 19/06/2008 20:36

Lizzz - i am a 12-14ish.

Lizzzombie · 19/06/2008 22:19

thankyou.
was the wine talking earlier. am totally sober again now. no bonking here!

ud - will look out for trousers for you on Saturday. x

katw3kitts · 19/06/2008 22:33

Oooh 10.30. I'll try to get on asap after that. I'm so excited about this... can't imagine how excited you are !!

2H your hair looked great, although to be honest I was too busy keeping my hair out of my eyes to notice anybody elses hair cut !!

I think I caught the sun a bit today, my face is feeling a bit ...tight... but still saves on the botox I suppose

Unfortunately I left my trainers on the beach, so I was unable to compete in the mums race again this year

No... really I dont do mums races anymore, especially at the girls schools as they are far FAR too competitive. There are a fair few footy and rugby ultra fit wives that like to run in their stilletos, so I prefer to watch now {grin}

DS1 came 3rd in the 50m sprint so he was well pleased !

Wilkiepedia · 19/06/2008 22:57

I had a bonk last night. Quite nice. Thought I'd healed over TBH but clearly not

katw3kitts · 19/06/2008 23:00

LOL !!!

You should treat yourselves more often

Lizzzombie · 20/06/2008 10:32

I've given up and become celebate!

UD - Its 10.32 - where are you????

Wilkiepedia · 20/06/2008 10:59

TEXT FROM UD:

They couldn't see anything on the ultrasound, so they did an internal and they can see a tiny sac. It's too early to say anything, I've got to have my bloods done and my hormone levels checked but we think it is a viable pregnancy.

theSuburbanDryad · 20/06/2008 11:50

Hello everyone! (thanks Wilkie! )

We had a minor heart attack when she did the ultrasound and couldn't see anything on the screen, was too reminiscent of the scan we had when i had the mc. But they've done an internal, and we could see the teeny tiny sac on the screen (less than 4 mm!)

They have to do blood tests every 3 days now, to make sure my hormone levels are doubling and that the pg is viable - there's still a risk that it could be ectopic. I think we also learned today that the sonographer wasn't a MNer when she mentioned doing the internal scan and i said, "What - you're going to put a camera up my fanjo?" and she loooked slightly distressed and said, "Yes, we put a camera up your vagina."

There's nothing really to suggest that the pg isn't viable, it's just that we've found out so very early. We can thank Z for that, pointing at my tummy and going "Baba" constantly! So, fingers crossed for the blood tests to all come back normal, and then i'll have to have another scan in a few weeks.

katw3kitts · 20/06/2008 12:34

Well thats great news UD

Wilkiepedia · 20/06/2008 13:03

UD, J was 4mm on my first scan at 6 weeks! Teeny, just a little white blob that flickered. Hope it is viable and gets some growing done!!

Lizzzombie · 20/06/2008 13:41

All my fingers are crossed for you UD, hope there is another little Dryad baby on their way. xxx

2Happy · 20/06/2008 19:19

Good news, UD! Keep us posted on the blood tests.

wonderwomanakaeandh · 20/06/2008 20:05

I remember H was 7mm at a 7+5 scan

I am such a nice good wife, kids have been ill on and off all week, Mum said they havent been to bad today and in fact they fell asleep on the way home before 6pm. Anyway dh best friend called to say his wife is going out tonight so he is home with their kids and did dh want to go and watch footie there. DH was going to drive but locally police cracking down on breathilising the next morning so I suggested he stays at friends house and we'll pick him up in the morning (he thinks he is getting a lay in but his best mates children are his godchildren and going to be very excited to see him so they'll be bouncing all over him ) plus I traded his night tonight for a sunday morning lay in plus he needs to take E&H out on his own

So am catching up on here, eating crap and going to have an early night

theSuburbanDryad · 20/06/2008 20:11

Oooh good quick thinking there EAH! This way you get a lie in and a peaceful early night tonight! Genius!

Have got to go for next bloods on Sunday morning, will let you know how it goes.

wonderwomanakaeandh · 20/06/2008 21:08

so sorry completley forgot to finish my first sentance of the last post and say congrats and fingers crossed sounds as if you are 4-5 weeks so when will your due date be Feb/March??)

wonderwomanakaeandh · 21/06/2008 08:31

Yey the girls slept in their own beds for most of the night (rarity for both of them to do that) Ellie woke at 4.30 for a wee and then got into bed with me and went straight back to sleep, Hattie got up at 5.10 but was expecting an early start as it was 5.40 last night she went to sleep. We came down and put baby tv on and had a cup of tea snuggled up under a blanket and Ellie appeared just after 6.

We're all dressed, house tidy, beds made and had breakfast and off in a mo to pick dh up (although I won't be telling him all of the above except the early start I had )

Reggiee · 21/06/2008 14:23

CONGRATS UD . Am sooooo pleased for you. And was so excited to receive the text update (you know who you are - cheers for that. DH did wonder what I shrieked at as I read the text though).

And well done Vino for not giving birth in my absence. Most thoughtful of you.

Anyway, I've had a fab week. It was great meeting 2H and Kat and lovely of them to come all the way to meet up. We had a fab morning on the beach gossipping and watching the dc's not playing with each other . Are any other dc's born in December or February (Eah?? Do you know??). It was the January thread meet up with no January babies! Kat's ds was very placid and happy to watch everything going on, whilst 2H's ds's enjoyed digging holes. I thought we might lose 2H as she was dragged to the sea to test the water.
Went to Edinburgh zoo yesterday. Lo really enjoyed watching the monkeys.

Shimmer the bookstore sounds fantastic. WIll think of ideas.

Busy couple of days ahead. Doing a 10km 'run' (after 3 training sessions in 2 years, I can safely say it will be a gentle stroll in the rain) tomorrow, then heading straight to London (via work shower) for a work meeting. Sunday afternoon!! Back Monday night.

DH is nagging me to get off the laptop cos he wants to bet on Ascot races . Doesn't he realise how much I've missed MN this week?

Laters...

2Happy · 21/06/2008 19:47

Welcome home Reg, tho PMSL you trolleyed all the way up to Edinburgh Zoo - you could have gone to East Links; or Conundrum; ooh, or popped to Yeavering Bell and seen the legendary Cheviot goats (the ones that scared the shite out of me and ds1 so badly that he still mentions it now, nearly two years later!!!). Or you could have gone to the Highland Show if you were in Edinburgh - dh took us along today. Guess what? Spent the day with ds1 going round in ever decreasing circles at the agricultural bit. And Loosh, FYI, I came across makes of tractors I'd never even heard of before (and, whispers, one make even dh had never heard of before [faint])
Have a nice lie-in eandh!

Reggiee · 21/06/2008 20:06

2H now you tell me about Cheviot goats..... We were supposed to be going to Berwick for the day, but lo had just fallen asleep in the car and I'd been hankering after going to the zoo when we were in Edinburgh last month....

Reggiee · 21/06/2008 20:23

Eah hope the girls are feeling better this weekend. The footie's on here again, although I guess if I'm supporting anyone it's Holland - for no reason.

Kat - you've changed your name a bit....

UD - less than 4mm. Wow - it's amazing what they can see. PMSL at fanjo. Aww...teeny tiny. Are you less scared and more excited now?

Wilkie - "thought I'd healed over" pmsl . You all packed btw - I presume it's much easier this time. When's the house warming?

Dragon - it is better to spell Rach(a)el without that dodgy a {slightly biased emoticon]. Mine is the normal way . Funnily enough, the only person who can't spell it properly is my real dad (I never see) who apparently picked my name. I hear from him at Xmas only and his cards are always to Racheal, so would be wrong either way.

Lizz - bit strange that the woman hadn't picked up her credit card. You did the right thing.

Shimmer - will stalk hunt you down on FB now. Any progress on rings / wedding details? Book question for you. Do you know the book Flat Stanley? I loved it as a kid, but was sure Stanley became flat by being rolled by a steam roller. In a shop recently, I found the book and had a quick flick through to relive my childhood only to find he became flat by a pin bord falling on him ??? Did I not remember it correctly or has the book been updated?

wonderwomanakaeandh · 21/06/2008 20:33

I'm here footie on again here too

We just had a huge chinese as took Hattie to hairdressers this morning and popped to shop next door to bribe get her some sweets and bought a scratchcard (never buy them) I won £37 so we had aromoatic duck (was lovely) plus few other dishes. Hattie loved hairdressers, sat in teh chair and had the gown on and played with a comb whilst lady cut her hair into a nice bob. Taking Ellie on monday (couldnt face taking them together)

Girls are a bit better thanks - but still gets to 4pm and they are so tired they turn into ultra whingy kids. Hattie impressed today as we went to summer fayre and she has got a huge helium ballon in teh shape of a dalmation dog (her fav things in the world are dogs and balloons) Ellie got some 2nd hand bratz dolls (she has never seen 'Bratz' but some of her friends at school talk about it so apparently she likes it [hm]) they are £10 each in shop and she got 2 for 20p (am super impressed with her bargain hunting, now who does she get that from??)

Meet up sounds as if it went well, I'll have to search for the birthday list to find out the other dec/feb babies.

Just been on moonpig.com and realised we can get a disney princess birthday card that says 'Happy 4th Birthday Princess Ellie' and has her photo on it so am pondering whether to order Snow White (have a great pic of Ellie dressed as Snow White) or Arial (ittle Mermaid) as we have got her the little mermaid drssing up outfit as one of her presents decision decisions.....

Ps had few texts from laughalot - they got there fine, Lauren either screamed or slept on the plane (think she slept for a bit, woke up and continued screaming) but they think Aiden has started developing chicken pox today
