hi everyone, havent been around much to post.

ds2 has been going through a crying all day phase which has been a bit stressful! But he seems ok today so fingers crossed!

Rashmi2008, I am in Woodford Green so not that far from you. I have a thread in mumsnet local about a possible meet up for local mums...

elfsmummy · 06/06/2008 09:25

Hello all.

Gosh VS I think Dec is lovely - have fancied him for ages!

Elena hasn't pooed for a week now! Am starting to be slightly concerned. Is anyone elses LOs like that. She's totally breast fed and fine in every other way.

Am just dreading the nappy when it finally happens!!

Kaybeeand2boys · 06/06/2008 09:28

ds2 didnt poo for 3 days and when it finally happened it was a monster!

elfsmummy · 06/06/2008 09:31

I can only imagine!! She's piling on the weight - is over 12 lb now abd I suspect she'll lose about a lb of that when it finally happens

VictorianSqualor · 06/06/2008 09:46

The last line in this post should help answer your 'did you really questions'

By Bobbiewickham on Thu 05-Jun-08 12:59:23
I know but I'm at work and to be honest, can't be arsed smile

I want fresh blood. Make it up if you have to.

Morning everyone. So strange that even when I'm not working, it's really great to know it's almost weekend. Dh really stressed at work at the moment (so combined with broken sleep he's a bit snappy, but hey), so thought of going out to see Indiana Jones if he gets home early enough tonight - that should cheer him up.

Scorpio - good luck with dh's op and happy birthday to Reilly!

sagitta · 06/06/2008 11:37

Thanks for the ide of speaking to Peachy, VS!

Peachy, if you're around, how did you know bas was allergic to dairy? I'm having a tough time of it, and dd1 is allergic to it, so maybe dd2 as well?

PortAndLemon · 06/06/2008 11:44

That's why I didn't ask you on that thread. I thought you'd be honest with us here... (and I suppose you were. Eventually... ).

A friend's DS didn't poo for two weeks, then finally did it in the middle of his christening, with predictable results...

Sal22 · 06/06/2008 13:55

Where's everyone today?? Not up to good mothering, surely? I should really feel extremely guilty, but is lying on back with laptop on my legs and lo sleeping in buggy next to me. Bliss. Anyone has any interesting plans for the weekend?

scorpio1 · 06/06/2008 14:00

DH home from op now bless him. i do love him a little bit

weekend, nothing much, need to look after DH. Reilly is 6 today so wil have little party thing tonight, just family & his dad and his dads gf are coming over too for cake and to give him the wii

Sal22 · 06/06/2008 14:17

lol scorpio. glad he's home now and hope he feels better soon. I can only just imagine Reilly's face when he gets his wii - I love giving children gifts - you can just see the sheer pleasure on their faces!

Denny185 · 06/06/2008 14:31

Happy b-day Reilly and well wishes to Scorpio's DH

V quiet day here, mum has DS, still have DD1 off school but she's not moving far from the sofa and DD2 has had a2 hour nap and has been asleep for another hours so far this pm.

Weekend - school fair and probably park, DH off on stag do so I'm on me Jack with the kids.

scorpio1 · 06/06/2008 14:32

How's the potty training going? Jamie was dry last night

Denny185 · 06/06/2008 16:22

Well we've made some progress he shouts wee, unfortunately right at the moment he's doing it. A little work needed on the notice I feel.

DD1 was v easy to train, done in 2 days and never an accident since, she was out of day nappies at 18/12 and night ones at 2 years. Knew i wouldnt be so lucky again, still we will perseverve

VictorianSqualor · 06/06/2008 16:40

The wasn't cos I had shagged him, but because it was on here and not true!lol.

Denny, we had the same with toilet training, DD was dry by night before her second birthday, DS1 was a pain in the butt, took months to train and he still has accidents now and has to wear a nappy at night and he'll be 4 in December!

scorpio1 · 06/06/2008 16:42

jamie is 4 in november and had first dry night last night, and still has accidents too. he pooed himself the other day ....

Denny185 · 06/06/2008 17:34

It must be a boy thing then, either too distracted or too lazy not sure which. He's just poo'd in the conservatory while we were finished dinner - came and got me to see, funny little boy.

Denny185 · 06/06/2008 17:35

finishing not finished

luckymummy74 · 07/06/2008 09:37

denny good luck for your weekend without mr denny. At least you have your mum nearby.
DD2 got little bug, I have been vomitted on twice already today, and it's only just gone 9am . DH at work all day, looks like I'm marooned in the house, don't fancy cleaning up sick from car or out and about.

Sal22 · 07/06/2008 20:18

luckymummy, hope dd2 felt better as the day progressed and that you could venture outside eventually.

I'm so glad the storms I heard about earlier in the week never materialised. Such great weather at the moment.

When out today I had to feed Roelof, and as dh was in the queue (long!), I sat down nearby to feed him. Then two teenagers started sniggering uncontrollably at the table behind me (I was covered up and everything!) I was sooo annoyed, you'd think I sat there without any clothes on or something!!! Stupid, silly little girls, in the end I got up and fed him in the car. At least I'm used to feeding him in public now, but if it was at the beginning, when I was a bit nervous about it, it might have put me off seriously. Now I just thought they need some education.

scorpio1 · 07/06/2008 20:21

Hope you are not too put off.

i would of told them if they looked in the mirror they would have seen a bigger tit, lol.

Yes ikwym about the education though, i dontthink saying they are tits is going to help though!

Sal22 · 07/06/2008 20:34

lol, might not have helped, but would have made me feel better, wish I thought of that

luckymummy74 · 07/06/2008 21:25

Sal22 DD2 better thanks, no more vomit!! My SIL came over with my nephews and neices. I took DD2 (5 wks) into lounge to feed her and left them all in the playroom/kitchen, next minute, my two nephews, aged 8 and 10, came into the lounge while I was feeding and proceeded to peer right over at DD2 feeding. They are old enough to know better and I know that at that age boobs are fascinating, but I just wanted to say "erm, do you mind?? I'm trying to feed.....piss off!!". I like scorpios response, very good, don't think I could have siad that to my nephews though!!

PortAndLemon · 08/06/2008 08:14

But with any luck you'll wind up with nephews who see breastfeeding as normal and are prepared to support their partners in later life...

Denny185 · 08/06/2008 09:47

Sal glad you havn't been put off, I think sometimes kids/young teenagers can be embarrased but don't know any other way of expressing themselves but giggling. If it happens again and you don't want to say anything I generally find a good glare tends to work

Luckymummy so glad DD2 better and the vomiting stopped, but then I think i'd rather deal with the vomiting than DH's family It wasn't another party was it?
