the kittens are on the move now, i found one out of the basket in the hall today! they are play fighting now too....

PeachyWontLieToYou · 02/06/2008 16:54

PFJ- so sorry poor Jack has been through so much .. My cousin lost his child to mrsa (but he was vulnerable- waiting for a heart transplant) so I had a big grin to see that the mrsa has been dealt with. Sending you all strength. X

PeachyWontLieToYou · 02/06/2008 16:56

Oh and a final one-

what's all you lo's eyesight like?

We have a feeling Bas has issues either with sight or hearing, he has hearing screening tomorrow but also he doesn't much track (except at real distance), he responds to voices but has never been calmed by seeing or hearing us, and we've not yet ever managed more than ten minutes not holding him! And that was a once off!

Sal22 · 02/06/2008 17:06

Hi everyone. So good to see everyone doing well.

My MIL now here, but at least she's being very helpful, so it's just the "someone in my face" bit that I have to get used to. And I feel too guilty MN'ing for hours, which is usually my favourite activity with Roelof either drinking or napping on/next to me, so miss that a bit!

We went to baby massage class today and he really seemed to enjoy it. Almost wee'ed on the girl next to me, but caugh it just in time... Oh, the fun of having a boy - new tricks all around

I'm still a little more flabby than before, but I suspect all the chocolate toffees I've been eating might just have something to do with that...

Sal22 · 02/06/2008 17:09

oh peachy, that's brilliant!!! congratulations!

scorpio1 · 02/06/2008 17:12

millie passed her hearing test fine a few weeks ago. her eyesight - she follows us round the room with her eyes, is looking for voices, especially dh's as his is quite deep. she smiles from voice alone too.

SuzeM · 02/06/2008 21:18

I haven't been on mumsnet in ages, I'll have to read back.

Congratulations Peachy!

Scampmum, sorry you are having a bad time.

PFJ, poor little Jack, hope he is home with you soon.

My MIL was here for 10 days, she was fantastic with Emilia and I had lots of afternoons out shopping, nights out with DH, etc. Now she's gone back to Ireland, boohoo.

Emilia is doing well but seems in pain in the evenings from wind (but not every evening), I have tried everything; I spend ages burping her, took her to an osteopath, use Dr Brown bottles, gripe water, Infacol ... I hope it will ease off as she gets older. Apart from that she is a very smiley little baby.

Fleecy · 02/06/2008 21:48

Another one lurking while feeding and not being able to type much but DS is now in bed!

Glad to hear 10 min feeding is normal. DS was feeding for 20 mins every 3/4 hours in the day then sleeping 11 - 4/5 most nights before feeding again. However, today he's suddenly dropped to ten minutes and won't take any more but still seemed to last the same amount of time in between feeds. I was worried he'd wake up and need to eat loads more in the night to make up for it but maybe he's just got through a growth spurt or something? Fingers crossed he won't keep me up all night!

Have put long overdue pics on my profile for anyone who's interested.

VS and Scorpio, saw you were both thinking of an 18 month gap before no. 4. I've got 19 months between DD and DS and so far so good (mostly!) but I only have the two - can't imagine doing the same gap with a 3rd and 4th, v. brave!

Denny185 · 02/06/2008 22:43

V cute pics fleecy

Congratulations peachy, all that hard work really payed off. Aeryn seems to focus and follow things from close up to a few feet across the room (? just shadows at that point) hearing test was passed in hospital so presume thats OK, certainly jumps at sudden noises.

v of all of you who can feed in 10mins we're still about 30 mins (longer first thing am).

Denny185 · 02/06/2008 22:44

Oh and thanks Sheds and Knitter, had a fab day

KnitterInTheNW · 03/06/2008 08:13

Me too Denny! Except I'm really quite sunburnt, and poor George's face is a tiny bit on one side too. It wasn't really even very sunny was it?

Aeryn and Henry are gorgeous.

George slept all the way home, dozed all evening apart from a few feeds, I woke him up at 8ish to bath him thinking if he didn't wake up for a bit he'd be up all night. He was awake for about half an hour then started acting like he was overtired(!!!!!!) so I took him up, he had a massive long feed then went down at 9:15. Woke up at 1am and 4:20 for feeds overnight then up for the day at 7!!! (to explain to everyone else, he slept all day too apart from feeds)

If you're interested, my sling is a peerie from here, and the thing on my buggy is this.

PortAndLemon · 03/06/2008 08:19

Congratulations Peachy!

DD is tracking and seems to hear fine (she passed her hearing test and I don't have any other concerns).

Denny185 · 03/06/2008 09:56

Im a bit burnt over my nose too, cant believe George slept so much. I managed to keep Aeryn awake for 3 hours once home but she woke early for her night feed at 2.30. Kiera was also up twice last night and DH was on nights so a bit pooped today.

Had a look for the buggy thing last night but the web site is saying out of stock at the mo, def oing to get one though its great.

scorpio1 · 03/06/2008 10:16

mimi this morning

Denny185 · 03/06/2008 10:51

Ahhhhh v cute, has her hair gone blonder?

scorpio1 · 03/06/2008 10:57

i think so

i dont know how though, DH is very dark as is Jamie...i have dark brown hair too. My Dad and Sister are blonde though.

PortAndLemon · 03/06/2008 11:11

Lovely!

One of DD sleeping rather less gracefully on my profile at the moment...

scorpio1 · 03/06/2008 11:21

ahhhhh thats so cuuuute!

VictorianSqualor · 03/06/2008 11:33

I hope they aren't your legs PAL!

I too have lost some weight, nowhere near enough though, everyone keeps saying it's dropping off me but I'm still about a 16 and it's annoying me
I know it's best it comes off slowly so I keep it off, and I did put on 4 stone

My legs and arms are back to normal, they had swollen up horribly, but my stomach is yuck.

OP posts:
Denny185 · 03/06/2008 11:34

That could be a postcard pic

Denny185 · 03/06/2008 11:40

Decided to harass the Dr's this afternoon, DD1 has got this swollen nose and eyes for the third day running, she looks like vincent from beauty and the beast.

HV has been this am, Aeryn was in bed, she's not coming back any more as happy with our progress. She didn't even want to check Aeryn, I could have sold her for all she knew

VictorianSqualor · 03/06/2008 11:43

Or swapped her for a Westlife CD.

OP posts:
chipmonkey · 03/06/2008 12:10

Scorpio, if you continue to post pics that that , I will hold you directly responsible if I get pregnant again against medical advice!

Denny185 · 03/06/2008 12:28

lol boyzone surely

PeachyWontLieToYou · 03/06/2008 12:40

Mimi is gorgeous!

as weighed tday- fimnally hit 9lbs! Yay! they agree his eyesight seems a bit off though, so have to get that looked at.

Silly hv's assistant on one again- this time it was homebirts aren't safe . And there was a poor lady who has been feeding by expression for 6 weeks and the advice hv had given her (nit making enough foremilk- bah- its not a separate product!) was crap but i'm wary of falling out with hv as i know if bas does =have problems its easier when theyre onside.

Theyve started an exercise class apparenly nearby where you do stuff with the buggy in the park, hoping to give that a go
