Brownie - crossed posts!
Fingers crossed for you dad, good news T is much better and congrats to you s-SIL! Enjoy your days off this week
Had to LOL at your 'Coast (yawn)' after my 'Indiana Jones (yawn)' Great minds eh?! x

novadandypowder · 19/05/2008 14:35

Brownie, hope you get some positive answers soon about your dad, sending best wishes your way.

Rodeo, the riding has come to a stop at the moment as they changed teachers at the stables and I hate the woman who replaced my previous lovely one. I'll have a search on the other stables you mentioned though, it's such a shame to stop just as I was feeling good about it. Lol about buggies, there is a whole group of women on here who own up to 8 at a time! The new one is only for the beach house, I'm keeping my trusty Phil & teds for London. Saying that, noo has said on a few occasions today that she's wanted to walk. It's only lasted a few minutes each time but it's a start.

Noo had been using the potty during the spell of hot weather, and today she said she wanted to wear pants and hasn't been in a nappy all day. We've had a couple of accidents, but she held on all the way back from nursery and waited til we got home to go which was a good 10 mins. I did have to cut some pooey pants off her though - no way I'm washing those!! I feel a little emotional that she's growing up [sob].

ChaCha · 19/05/2008 15:19

Hey everyone,

Hope all is well and that the poorly are getting better and those going away are having a lovely time.

All ok here, still trying to get the boys settled at an earlier time. Managed 7pm last night which was great as DH and I had a lovely evening but the downside was DS1's waking at 4am for a chat about the Tombliboos and baby owls! Finally settled but then DS2 woke us up so off to the park we went and scheduled nap from 12-2 done - here's hoping for another earlyish night!

Nova - I'm so sorry if i got the wrong end of the stick I thought you meant you meant you were selling your other one and that's why i showed interest. Sooorrreeeeeeeee!

Well, still throwing up at this stage and this bump is so high feel i cannot breathe/walk/move at times...am sticking a DVD on for them and going to rest.
Have a good week everyone x

novadandypowder · 19/05/2008 16:48

Chacha - I am selling my other one - I have two Phil & Teds! The other one has been sat at the beach house since christmas and has been used a grand total of once/twice. We have a single Mountain Buggy at the beach house also, it's fantastic on the stoney beach, but I always end up with noo sitting on the hood. That's why I thought this new one would be so good, it's like a combination of the two. Also, I'm willing to give you my other Phil & Teds, all I'd ask for is postage if you decided you wanted it.

BrownieBells · 19/05/2008 20:56

Hello......
I lurrrvvve buggies and pushchairs - and would frankly by a new one as often as poss (budget willing -which it isn't I hasten to add!) If only we had 2 children Nova - I would bite your hand off and nibble up your arm (oh and pay postage plus a little extra) for your old buggy (does any of that make sense!?) tho - we may have a bfp this year so...........
Anyway, random comments aplenty as I am going insane trying to organise Brownie camp - cannot get in touch with Mentor or our County Advisor - so am panicking a bit lot!! but hope to get sorted soon. Also only have 12 places, 5 of which are going to eldest girls, rest will be 1st come 1st served - and I know that will cause a bun fight - but at the end of the day - my decision is final (but they ain't gonna like it!)

Hey ho - off to troff some Kettle Chips and drink wine!
Hope everyone is marvellously well

love to all
x

AmiWhatAndWhy · 20/05/2008 12:04

Hi to all

Hope the CP little ones are doing better.

Hope you are getting lots of rest chacha, you are an absolute star. I have enough trouble with just these two at the moment, can't imagine being pregnant too.

Nova my friend stables her horse at Mudchute City farm near Canary Wharf, they do riding lessons there and it's really nice.

No real news to report here. The DC seem to have split personalities, they go from adorably holding hands and playing clapping games together to hitting each other around the head with toys in the blink of an eye. Hard work! They also have their own language which is half proper words, half nonsense, it's really funny to listen to them. DS tipped the cot up at the weekend when DD was in it!Luckily she was fine but it's a clear sign it's time for a 'big girl bed'.

Love to everyone else, sorry I haven't had much time to properly catch up but will do soon.

ChaCha · 20/05/2008 19:58

Evening all,

BB - Good luck with Brownie camp, hope it's all going well.

Ami - Know what you mean about split personalities lol, at times i find them sitting playing together, laughing, cuddling and being best of friends and then they are biting/pushing/hitting each other. Didn't grow up with sibling so don't really know what it's like but DH says it's train today and girls tomorrow....aghhh!

Nova - I can get away with blaming my PG brain then (well, it's worked for 3 years almost) Would love to have your P&T, just say when and how i can send you the P&P - whatever is the most convenient method for you...it is a more than generous offer! Will speak to you in person about that side later though. Thank you - am really touched at your genorousity and kindness.

DS1 is out with DH so am making the most of it x

ChaCha · 20/05/2008 20:27

I just watched Women in Black on the iplayer, is it really possible that someone can spend £1500 a week on designer garms?!?
Dubai is really shoppers paradise....and i hardly knew any of the shops

nite

BTKsmum · 21/05/2008 19:10

Hi all, whoo hoo am very excited my best friend has been told she will be taken in for her c-section on friday morning, and we've just been out buying last minute bits including the moses basket and I bought her a really cute little outfit!

Will be having there older daugther for a sleepover on Thursday then taking her up to see her baby sister straight after school, so should be one of the first to get a cuddle - yippee!

Hope everyone is well, speak soon Beks

novadandypowder · 23/05/2008 08:52

Beks, thinking of N and wishing her all the best. Just make sure you do give her the baby back at some point today!

Well, we're off to the beach house for the bank holiday weekend, fingers crossed for some sun.

Noo has been amazing this week, she's totally dry . I've had to do pretty much nothing for the wee part of toilet training - poo seems to be a tad more tricky . I'm not too worried as it's only day 5, but not sure how to persuade her that poo in a toilet is much better than poo in your pants...

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend x

ChaCha · 23/05/2008 10:29

Clever Noo Noo!! That is great. Wish i could say the same...have a lovely weekend, hope the sun shines for you.

BTKS - Have a lovely day with N and family. Fill us in on all the baby news!

Supposed to be going to visit friends and stay in hotel (something i look fwd to) but DS1 ended up in A&E at dinner time yesterday. Was fortunate enough to have home help still here to help me get the boys in taxi and head up there (DH working out of town). Not quite sure what happened but one minute he was standing on sofa and next minute he'd lost balance and ended up on a book shelf face down on a pile of hardbacks Everything was okay, his face is bruised and sore and his eye fortunately didn't need stitching, the medical glue is doing its job now i guess but doesn't look very nice. He is fine, i think he enjoyed the hospital trip, lots of toys, nice doctors and Thomas playing on the screen. Is a very quiet at home day today as DC are also showing signs of cold. The joys of parenting eh?

Have a good weekend everyone x

BTKsmum · 23/05/2008 11:15

Morning girls, T is watching his hero sportacus so thought i'd pop on quickly

Nova yay well done Noo, how fantastic, what a clever girl, we're no where near that stage yet. Hope you have a great weekend at the beach house.

Chahca poor Z what a nightmare, hope he's on the mend soon, all the joys of having boys I'm afraid Don't worry no.3 will be a calm and placid little girl

No baby news yet as they didn't have a bed for N first thing this morning but she appears to have gone in now so hopefully we'll meet her bundle of joy at some time today I will give her back honest, well maybe

Right best go and see what t is up to as he has already helped himsef to a kinder egg out of the shopping so far this morning, little monkey. Hope everyone has a great bank holiday weekend Beks

BTKsmum · 23/05/2008 22:03

Just a quickie to say my friend N had her beautiful baby girl at 1:10pm and she weighed only 7lb 3oz not the whooping 9lb+ they told us. Have already had a cuddle and am totally in love. No i'm not broody before you ask!!!
Have a great weekend all Beks x

mypandasgotcrabs · 25/05/2008 02:38

Hi all!

Congratulations to N, & baby G? is she Beks?

Well done Noo & nova, have always said I'm not that fussed about getting S out of nappies, he'll do it when he's ready, but I really could do without the cost of nappies right now!

Oh no ChaCha, poor Z, but sounds like he's OK, yep, typical boys I'm afraid!

I'm currently stealing this broadband from one of my new neighbours. I moved house today. Yippee! Wanted to keep it quiet as everything had a major phase of going very very wrong, but new house, new job and hopefully new man all come together and things are very much on the up.

The house is wondeful, I absolutely love it! Although any neighbours who were up at 2.15 this morning must have been wondering what on earth they had moved in here, as I arrived home afte a night out dressed as a bunny! But had a great night, was really good to get out. Boys are at their dads this weekend, so making the most of it, what with moving & having a night out.

BTKsmum · 25/05/2008 18:05

Yay congratulations Panda, glad everything is going so well for you.

Ns baby is called Jorja and shes beautiful, they are hoping to come home from hospital today as N is totally fed up of being in there and the after cares has been pretty pants all they give her for the pain is paracetamol which of course she could take at home.

Does anyone want to swap a poorly boy for a healthy one, spent most of yesterday evening at Emdoc as T now has tonsilititus Poor little sod is drooling, and talking very weirdly and not really eating or drinking and now on a weeks worth of penicillin Think he needs a holiday somewhere hot, just wish we had the money.

Hey ho, hope everyone is having a great weekend, Beks

novadandypowder · 26/05/2008 19:31

Please send my best wishes to N Beks, Jorja is such a lovely name .

Panda, glad things are moving onwards and upwards for you, although I feel you need to expand on why you were dressed as a bunny .

Chacha, hope Z is on the mend. Miniman went charging head first down a flight of stairs a couple of weeks ago, but it hasn't stopped him rushing to the top of every set he comes to. Had to smile at Z loving the trip to hospital though, that's so typical.

Weekend was lovely, went to the beach on saturday where miniman enjoyed himself in the sea (brrr!), and went to Arundal castle yesterday. They had a medieval re-enactment society there, and it was so cool, they were all in character and had set up a kind of market town to demonstrate everything like food, tapestry, pewter, weapons and armour. They also did aome fighting demonstrations and had a storyteller wandering around. Noo has been fab still on the potty training front and today she graduated to poos on the toilet . I'm still finding my feet with it all though and she has had a couple of small accidents when she's been over tired and we forget to remind her to go. I was concerned about the car journeys to and from the beach house but she was totally dry. I keep waiting for it all to go horribly wrong!

Hope you're all keeping well x

mypandasgotcrabs · 26/05/2008 21:41

Hi, I'm no longer stealing neighbours broadband, BT got me on yesterday, although had a phonecall from them today saying "we were expecting to get your broadband on from 27th, unfortunately there's been a delay, so it will be a little later"

Ah, I had the right name for Jorja, just was spellung it Georgia. Did N manage to get home yesterday? How is T now? That one can't be blamed on S!

Nova, great day out by th sounds of it. I love Arundel. Bunny night was because it was my friends sisters friends birthday!!! My friend & I had been invited out by her sister, but the condition was we dressed as bunnies. We were both dubious and reluctantly bought the ears etc, sister wanted us to wear face paint too, but we told her where to go, but hers looked really good, so we did it too. Had a really good night, and wasn't so bad dressing as bunnies, was a good laugh!

Am still loving this house, plus added bonus that there seem to be quite a lot of fit blokes living round this way!

BTKS - What about a trip over to mum and dad's? Is it warm there during the summer? You definitely could all do with a relaxing break and some warm sunshine, you've had one thing after another since DH's op! Thinking of you and will give you a call at some point this week.

Nova - It's a boy thing i guess! I keep looking at his eye though and feeling awful but in saying that it is better now and hasn't bothered him so is healing well.
Am impressed with toilet training, well done, honestly it's great that she's been so dry, we are making very slow efforts with DS1 but a downstairs toilet would be most useful at the moment. DS2 gets very upset when we do anything without him, has to come everywhere...is also conscious of dragons and owls that appear to be in all sorts of niches in the house at the moment just waiting to sneak up on them! Must admit, good 'get to sleep' tactics on nights when mummy is shattered and cannot be bothered with cajoling them to sleep

Panda - Lovely to hear you sounding so happy! New move sounds just what you needed and hope everything continues to be on the up...hurray!

DH has invited friends over for dinner tomorrow, have dinner more or less sorted, just the grocery shop to arrive in morning for the starters and odd bits, i love to cook but i just don't do baking so couldn't think of a desert. Have ordered some pavlova bases and some fresh fruit and cream...sound okay?

Well B is making the kids some toast and DH is out tonight so i best make most of the time i guess!

p.s. 9 weeks to go!!!!!! Have visions of me turning up at hospital with a sleep suit in one pocket, mitts and hat in other and a carrier bag with some pj's etc...lol! And there i was at 20 something weeks with my Samsonite weekend bag at the door and making trips somewhere different every other day for some treats to add to the bag ROFL How times change! Love to all x

Rodeo · 27/05/2008 21:53

Hello all
In the middle of half term hols at the mo, is everyone else?
Hi Chacha, pudding sounds yummy, MIL makes Eton Mess for the kids in summer which is just crushed strawbs, whipped cream and bashed up meringues folded together, it's lovely and goes very quick! LOL at your hospital bag at the door with treats when you had Z Vaguely remember doing the same when I had Bella, 'The Bag' twas very important and essential, haha! Think I went with things wrapped in a towel 'a la off swimming' when I had Jess
Panda, glad your all settled! LOL with stolen broadband, was always tempted with our neighbour last year but was too scared they'd find me out!
Beks, great news on your new baby! Hope T is feeling lots better too
Brownie, good luck with your Brownie camp, when is it? Wasn't it torrential rain last year? Has there been any squabbles over places? Hope it's not been too bad
Nova, that's great news on the PTing, she's doing amazing! Especially the car journey! We're trying to get it sorted too this week and she's doing quite well this time, it's me who needs to stop just sticking a nappy on her for ease!
Hope feety's having a good time at her festival, when is she back?

novadandypowder · 28/05/2008 15:08

Chacha, I can't seem to find your number on the Y group can you text me or something to arrange delivery of the buggy - I was thinking of maybe driving up myself on friday morning as I think you're only about an hour or so away from me??

ChaCha · 28/05/2008 23:38

Hi Nova, was just playing scrabble when BTKS pointed me in this direction I have ILs up on Friday but would really like to see you so was thinking perhaps you'd like to come up for lunch with BTKS next week? Could make some lunch and have the LOs run around together while we all catch up. Entirely up to the both of you, as far as i remember nothing happening here next week or at least nothing of much importance. Whenever suits you both is good for me really. I will find ur number though and text you my details anyway and then you can do whatever is best for you I also don't mind a day out if i can be picked up from station/bus stop but have to give DH a good few days notice so he can pick me up, just make my own way down. Am happy with anything..a day or two more and runny noses will hopefully be gone!

Midwife and more peeps for dinner tomorrow, best get some sleep. Love x

ps. Rodeo lovely to see your post. Come down for lunch ... come on!!!

feetheart · 30/05/2008 08:58

Hello all, we're back. Had a lovely time and only got wet on Sunday though packing the tent away in howling wind was 'interesting'

A. took to the whole thing like a duck to water, as you can see here and T loved it all as usual. There are loads of pictures on here if anyone is REALLY interested!

Need to feed children but hopefully will get back on later.

Love to all.

ChaCha · 30/05/2008 14:44

Hey Feetheart, welcome back

Had a look at pics - lovely, glad a good time was had by all.

DH had some very good news yesterday and we will be going on holiday, yippeeee!!! All arranged and paid for this morning, totally unexpected which makes it so much more exciting, i can't wait! Just 11 days to go. Going to visit grandpa first and then to the beach for a few days rest...will only be for 10 days but looking fwd to relaxing away before new arrival. Airline said i was okay until 7.5mths to fly so probably cutting it fine but hey ho.

Nova - Am just about to pop onto Y and get your number and send you a text.

Hope all is well x [leaves thread with big smile and holiday clothes mission]

ChaCha · 30/05/2008 14:53

God knows what i've done, have either emailed you Nova or sent a message to the whole group lol - apologies in advance - am sure you were all after my address

Have texted too. Hope i got right number.
