That's hilarious FF!

CalicoHollyFlint · 07/02/2008 13:42

Good God, has anyone seen the Japanese whalers on the news? I feel sick.

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/02/2008 13:45

lol foxy, that is soooo true. Unfortunately DS still feels like that

why, oh bloody why, in a room 4m x 4m with lots of toys scattered about, does my daughter choose to play under my feet all the time? and get annoyed cos she gets stuck and can't move, and then when I move her just crawls right back under me?

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2008 14:01

Foxy I don't think I ever grew out of the 'more to life than me' bit

Holly can't look at whalers. Have decided I hate the japanese. Anyone that can do that and cite 'research' in cold blood makes me feel ill. And all the people that eat it. Vile.
In the spirit of Hugh funley-brittingstall or whatever his name is...Whale Out!

Glad to hear Baby Fury is on the mend this morning

Bumper, sorry you're having a shit time, it will get better, really. I'm still waiting for Baby Sputnik to hit that stage (so you see your DD is really advanced

FF, my DD has forbidden me from singing in her presence. I'm allowed to dance still though.

I have been liberated from the school run today as DH is home, and has taked the baby out with him, yippee, what can I do with my 1/2 hour of freedom?

Sputnik · 07/02/2008 14:29

Oh grief, taken

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/02/2008 14:33

erm....mumsnet!

I was going to take babyboo out for a walk in the buggy before school pick up, but she has just gone to sleep and I don't want to risk waking her up again as she needs the nap.

ah well, more MN for me.

I promised my DH he would see a marked improvement in the state of our back room when he got home on Friday, and all I've managed to do is clear some floor space.....by moving that stuff into the hall

You guessed it Daisy. You still have another 24 hours, throw everything in boxes and stack it in the corner

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/02/2008 14:40

erm....can't actually find the corners , and can't get it all on the shelves as I can't get to the shelves for all the crap spilling out of the corners.

Why do we have so much crap? We found three huge boxes in the loft labelled "miscellaneous crap" which was obviousy just chucked in in desperation when we moved two years ago. It's been up there for over two bloody years. I'm so tempted to just chuck the lot (if you haven't needed it in two years and all that), but I'm sure if I do, then I'll realise there was something needed/wanted/much missed in there after it's too late.

I have a couple of boxes like that in the shed (which you can't get into).
You obviously need a shed .

LardyMardyDaisy · 07/02/2008 14:49

We're getting one, but that's for taking the overspill from the garage

We live in a 3d version of one of these puzzles

Snap Daisy!

My house is so full of shit I can barely move.

And it's fucking 3 o'clock and I have done jack shit all day! Went to toddlers this morning, but have done nothing since then.

Ds won't let me put him down, it's driving me up the wall. He is a great big lump and my back is killing me.

My sister is coming over for a roast dinner tonight and I need to start cooking, but it doesn't look like I'm going to be allowed!

AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!! I need a child free day!

Sputnik · 07/02/2008 14:58

I know the feeling. I keep thinking I should ebay stuff but never get round to it. A shop opened in town where they'll ebay stuff for you, I am quite tempted.

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2008 15:02

I have ebayed so much stuff we no longer own anything.
And I'm still going.
Yesterday I sold my stereo.

This weekend the maclaren, bugaboo and my bike gets it.

DH keeps running around. He says if he stands still I will sell him.

CalicoHollyFlint · 07/02/2008 15:06

I am slowly getting round to ebaying, but I hate it. It is so boring writing out the descriptions and taking stuff to the post office. I can really see why you'd get someone else to do it for you!

Someone bought one of my pushchairs on saturday, still hasn't paid and doesn't look like she's going to. She hasn't responded to any of my emails at all. I'm bloody pissed off because now I'm gonna have to go through the whole non-paying bidders process, relist it and wait another couple of weeks or so to get the bloody thing out of my dining room!

CalicoHollyFlint · 07/02/2008 15:09

One of my friends tried to sell her dh on ebay. He had bids on him before ebay removed the listing!

Don't think anyone would buy my dp, he is a bit useless! He's rather fertile though, so many I could rent him out to childless women!

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2008 15:10

Holly can you put it up as BIN just above her winning bid?

I often do that as you then know what the value is and people will often pay a few £££ extra to have it without the fuss of an auction.

And you get shot of it quicker

CalicoHollyFlint · 07/02/2008 15:13

It was BIN with best offer before and people kept firing questions at me about it and trying to haggle with me. I stopped answering them in the end!

I can't log a complaint with ebay until saturday, when the 7 days are up, and then have to go throught he hassle of the procedure to get my listing fee refunded before I can relist.

CalicoHollyFlint · 07/02/2008 15:15

free brest pump!

CalicoHollyFlint · 07/02/2008 15:15

or breast even!

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2008 15:16

yes and it's pants.

Unless you create it as a 'new' listing - and then claim the fees back for the old one when the time is up. It's not like they check you haven't listed it again under a new listing. Or even that they care.

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2008 15:43

I kill threads.
I have a knack for it.
DS has had to be picked up from Nursery, he's still not good (but better).

In other (more uplifting) news, since cutting out bread from my diet I am dropping the lbs! It must not agree with me... as it is I still eat mountains of food, just no bread, I am losing about 2lbs a week.

milkyJammy · 07/02/2008 15:46

What's that Fury? I seem to have gone partially deaf with my ears blocking up with this cold. Still, it's making the jamlet's "wah wah wah" less irritating!

milkyJammy · 07/02/2008 15:46

Can you tell I'm P*ssed off with being ill still?

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2008 15:48

lol Jammy

Can't say I blame you
Bring on summer... then it will be hay fever we are all whinging about!
