'Lo!

Go on Daisy! you can do it!

Sorry to hear DS is still poorly. Definately a day for tea and biscuits!

Andie, interested in what you said about the Calpol, with your insider knowledge.

Sorry to hear about your ails Jammy. A gentle stroll might help.

milkyJammy · 08/02/2008 10:34

I get like this most times I get a bad cold, and it's never a chest infection. I have mild asthma that isn't usually a problem, until I get a cold that is, when my chest becomes dreadful. But in the 16 years I've been like this I've not once had an actual chest infection, so I can't be bothered to even go to the docs now.

milkyJammy · 08/02/2008 10:35

Good luck at the baby group Daisy. I'm sure once you're there it won't be so bad, these things usually aren't.

justbeme · 08/02/2008 11:43

Its a lovely day - Jammy hope the sun improves your mood!
Fairy hope DS improves too.

am knackered - done dog walk and housework - still got ironing to tackle! Oops- sorry for swearing, i know a few of you dont iron!
How do you get away with not ironing say stiff denim dresses (for LO not me!), creased tops, etc?

LittleMissNorty · 08/02/2008 11:48

send it out and let someone else do it JBM

.....and also buy clothes that don't need ironing

milkyJammy · 08/02/2008 13:03

Well I guess I do tend towards the (ahem) crumpled look

LardyMardyDaisy · 08/02/2008 13:17

I bung things in the drier for 10 mins with a wet facecloth for a bit of moisture

or go for the crumpled look, it falls out a bit on wearing!

went to the group and I'm glad I did; it was really quiet and we all had a really nice chat. One of the women lives round the corner from me too so someone very local for me. We're both going to go to the nct group on Tuesday as first timers together, although quite a few of the women who go to the group on the Friday go to the NCT group too so I'll know some of them. I feel like I've achieved something

Am also intrigued by your calpol comment andie????

I'm afraid my cleaner does my ironing .

Does anyone know anything about computers? My laptop seems to be dying (overuse on here? ). It basically won't charge and I think it could be the pin in the back which is the problem because if I wiggle the wire into a good position and hold it then it will charge iyswim. Badically I wanted to know if that sounded like an easy problem to get fixed or if it would cost a fortune? The laptop is a few years old and quite a basic model so if it's going to be expensive then I'd rather put the cash towards a new one. Any advice appreciated.

annobal · 08/02/2008 13:44

Daisy - do you still want a Tripp Trapp? I'm selling mine which I bought off ebay which you can have cheap

HellHathNoFury · 08/02/2008 13:52

Annobal I might be interested if Daisy isn't

annobal · 08/02/2008 13:52

Fairy, sorry to hear your lo still not well. My From Russia exhibition plans at the ra were scuppered by DS1 who coughing constantly . We had that problem with our mac and just needed a new cord as the pins had pushed in ( I wonder who did that). Sorry, they did it for free so can't tell you how much it was but can't imagine it would be too much.

LardyMardyDaisy · 08/02/2008 13:53

go for it fury....we're (well DH) is quite happy with our IKEA one!

fairy, I hope your poor DS is feeling better soon.

how's baby fury today?

OP posts:
HellHathNoFury · 08/02/2008 13:53

ok I lie I am interested

annobal · 08/02/2008 13:54

Hi Fury, how's DS?

If Daisy's interested I'll send you both the details and see if you still want it...

HellHathNoFury · 08/02/2008 13:55

baby fury is lots better - only woke once last night, for food and not the frantic screaming, his temp is down and he is still all snotty but is eating a bit and back to trying to ride the dog so it's all good! I am so relieved!

annobal · 08/02/2008 13:55

Sorry, x-post, I'll email you Fury...

How was M&B Daisy?

annobal · 08/02/2008 13:55

Phew - that is a relief.

HellHathNoFury · 08/02/2008 13:58

Thanks annobal!
Will talk to DH tonight - I want one but he is still smarting from just buying a P&T this week
Then I found out they have released a funky new model called the vibe and I am tempted but I have told myself no...for now... I am a hun!

HellHathNoFury · 08/02/2008 14:00

But to compensate I am going to sell the Maclaren xlr tomorrow. I only used it about 3 or 4 times. I don't like it. I want to....but I don't.

FairyFay · 08/02/2008 14:01

Thanks Annobal, I think I'll have to pluck up courage and go and find a pc repair shop. I always feel like such a girl when I go into tecchy shops though as I'm clueless, but then so is Dh and one of us has to do it .

FairyFay · 08/02/2008 14:02

Fury, I'm glad DS is on the mend. What do you think of the P&T?

annobal · 08/02/2008 14:03

Good luck Fairy!

Have you bought a new car yet Fury?

LardyMardyDaisy · 08/02/2008 14:04

I love the XLR, but then again I still have DSs old XT which I loved equally.

I wish I'd bought an XLR from the off an hadn't bothered with the bloody hauck thingummy.....I'm properly fed up with it adorning the corner of my back room, the pushchair bit all still in it's plastic bag!

jbm, the woman from that thread didn't even respond to say not interested. why put up a wanted add and then ignore all the replies?

LardyMardyDaisy · 08/02/2008 14:05

oh, M&B was good annobal. There were only six of us there which was nice. babyboo kept crawling over the top of the littler babies though

HellHathNoFury · 08/02/2008 14:05

I love that it fits into the boot of a fiesta with the wheels still on!!

I really like it - I have read it's good/bad points in various reviews and found them to be fair. I wish the sun canopy was a bit bigger, and bits of the pram are a bit fiddly (when you are used to massive levers and buttons as on the bugaboo).

But it seems to push nicely and looks like it should cope cross-country (will find out tomorrow when I walk the dog - here the maclaren failed somewhat). It's quick to fold.
I hate the footmuff though, it slides down.

But hard to say, not really used it much yet. What do you think of them?
