My DD keeps presenting me with bits of rubbish, which I then send her to the bin with. She has potential

derlorisMonica · 24/02/2008 16:21

don't know that one - clearly i'm way too young!!!

I have just been asked "has your person got a head like a spider?" WTF?!?!?!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 24/02/2008 16:28

derlorisMonica · 24/02/2008 16:37

oh, where you off to andiem? we are going to Le deux alps in France

what's that about buying a house in bournmouth then?

LittleMissNorty · 24/02/2008 16:38

Afternoon ladies and welcome back Derlor

Well I have discovered why when I joined the NHS I decided not to be a nurse and become a scientist instead.

I have been up all farking night with DD - temp got to 39.9, up the emergency docs today (ear infection, eye infection, constipation you name it), I am not a very good nurse and have had enough . Poor thing looks very sorry for herself...hope DD2 hasn't got the same thing Foxy - its misery....for me as well as her!

Then when I said to DH that I'm knackered and can't be bothered to cook.....(hoping he's offer to as he didn't get up during the night)...he said, "Oh cheese on toast will do me"....

Sorry, rant over

Sputnik, sounds painful, hope you get sorted soon x

milkyJammy · 24/02/2008 16:39

Hi Derlor, welcome back. Hi everyone else.

Cake was lovely - chocolate raspberry torte. I gave C a piece about 2mm cubed and she gave me a look afterwards that said "give me more of that or I am going to have to kill you". Well, I guess she's just going to have to kill me then (And yes, I am probably a VBM (Very Bad Mummy) for a) giving my precious baby chocolate cake and b) giving her a taste of it and then not giving her any more)

She is now playing with the parts of the Sunday papers that we don't want. She loves newspapers, we have to claim the bits we want before she gets hold of them, or we have to iron them out and sellotape the bits back together to read them

Sputnik · 24/02/2008 16:41

We had builders in for practically the whole time I was pg, it's horrible but the reults are good.
Re the mastitis, the fever has gone but it's still sore, not excruciating, have I got away with it?

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 24/02/2008 16:42

derlor we are off to meribel can't wait
yes we are buying a flat in bournemouth hopefully in the next few months for weekends etc vv excited

foxy sorry meant to say hope foxcub 4 feels better soon horroble when they are poorly

norty my whole career has been in children's itu they are all unconcious sometimes the best way when they are ill methinks
hope she feels better soon too and give dh an arse kick from me

milkyJammy · 24/02/2008 16:42

That's pants of your DH Norty. Hope DD is better soon. In the meantime, demand a takeaway!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 24/02/2008 16:43

jammy my lo had fruit compote custard and cake for pudding today so we are both bad mummies

foxythesnowman · 24/02/2008 16:44

LOL at the Jamlet

Norty, she just got over a cold and conjuntivitus. Her temp just shot up as she was napping, then she puked. same this morning. Nurofen working inbetween times. not too worried at this stage, but i AM concerned.

Sputnik · 24/02/2008 16:46

Poor DD LMN. Your response to DH should've been "Well I'll have that too then as you're offering"

Sputnik · 24/02/2008 16:49

Baby Sputnik has been napping for over 3 hours. Guess I'd better wake him up before it's actually bedtime.

derlorisMonica · 24/02/2008 16:49

paah men, don't ya just love them?!?!?!?!
i hope i come back as a man next time....what an easy farkin life that would be!

we were in Meribel 2 years ago it is FAB.

LittleMissNorty · 24/02/2008 17:13

I've had to write down everything DD needs to take and when, otherwise I'll get confused ....she's fine when medicated, its just inbetween.

So how do I insert viscous eyedrops without actually poking her eyes out?

Wish takeaway was an option but seen enough of local hospital for one day and trying not to antagonise my gall bladder.

Poor DD foxy? Have the others got a bug. My Sisters kids are passing around a sickness bug between the 5 of them.....

LittleMissNorty · 24/02/2008 17:14

I really do know my English grammar.......just knackered!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 24/02/2008 17:23

derlor! It's good to have you back with us

sputnik, hot flannels (as hot as you can stand) applied to your boob over te blockage, and then comb (yes, with a haircomb!!) towards the nipple. It's so painful it's almost pleasurable, but does the trick for me every time. And kneading/massaging whilst DS is feeding good too.

I love that bag holly....it seems very you.

I was in ALDI earlier and they have a lovely red one in at the moment for £12.99. I was nearly tempted, but DH was with me, so no chance (I have been threatened with divorce if I buy another bag)

Norty, poor DD. Em was like that at Christmas and afterwards and it was awful.

Two days of fuzzibunz use and no nasty reaction or leakage of any kind....so I've just bought 8 medium fuzzis, and will soon be back in fluff full time . Jammy has bought some nappies from me too, so DH is happy with my new purchases, and babyboo will look cute in fluff again

Fairy, I hope you find something for your night out soon. I wouldn't know where to start as I spend my life in jeans and t-shirts bought when I do the weekly shop at Sainsbury's

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 24/02/2008 17:25

new thread needed very soon....I did the last one and am out of ideas!

holly, did you see my message about the MNer selling off her wonderoos?

and jbm, if you are getting in the odd lurk, I hope your thrush is clearing up. I've got rid of it from my ducts at long last, but keep getting it on my nipples. I just bung on some canesten to keep it at bay, and wipe it off before the next feed.

HellHathNoFury · 24/02/2008 18:19

Hey jammy don't feel bad. I gave DS half a cheesecake last night. And it wasn't even a homemade organic one, it was some saralee shite or something.
DH gives him peanut butter.
I give him chocolate biscuits.
He gives himself dog chews.

milkyJammy · 24/02/2008 18:23

Pre-emptive new thread here

MommaSmith · 29/04/2025 17:10

@foxythesnowman
obviously, I’m really trying it since this was an 08 so bloody hell 17 years ago

on the off chance that you are still on here, how has it been? And do you have any pointers?

I currently have a 23 month old and a eight month old boys And I’m waiting to see if I have another positive any time soon (feeling all the symptoms, but I guess it could be the period restarting)

I don’t know I guess how was it and what do I need to look out for?
