F has been sleeping for over an hour. She never does this in the day. Typical really as I will have to wake her soon to go and get ds from school. Guess she is just catching up now after several disturbed nights with a snuffly nose and cough.

Octo and CD, hope your clingy babies become less clingy soon. It is so hard when they are like that. I think its just the age they are all getting too now isnt it. F is definitely more clingy to me nowadays. If I go out of the room she comes crawling to find me, yelling in her own unique style!

NorthernLurker · 06/02/2008 14:27

Afternoon all

Feel much, much better today Bit of a rough night with B, she woke at 12, fed and back to sleep with me as she freaked out when I went anywhere near her cot. Slept till 3.30 - when she wanted a bit more milk, went back to sleep but very fitfully and fidgety - so at 4.30 I bought her downstairs to the travel cot. She yelled for about 3 minutes - then went to sleep! This morning dh said being woken by her had given him bad dreams - I told him to count himself lucky! Been to toddler group which was good fun - B is so independant there - she crawls and cruises all over - it's just when we get home that she fusses over being put down!
WO - fingers crossed for good news
Oooggs - sorry to hear they are so off-colour - I would hold off food for a bit longer if you can bear to.
Mammmyjo - thanks - am feeling better today.
Dippy - the post to Eastbourne is so quick! Hope it's of interest - just shove it in the post when you've had enough of it Sorry about P - B is watching the Night Garden - think she prefers it to me Does P like it?
POTC - great you have some support from hv - am praying for the meeting. Like Dippy says - you have nothing to prove - you know you are the centre of your boys' world.
Hi SOL, Eddas, Pesha and everyone else

mammyjo · 06/02/2008 14:30

Oooggs, will type out the lasagne recipe later and post it on here. I got it out of good food magazine, never tried it before, but the veg mix smells pretty good so far!

mammyjo · 06/02/2008 14:30

school run now - POTC - it will be ok

elkiedee · 06/02/2008 15:06

Hope all goes well POTC, like others have said I'm glad the HV was so reassuring and is coming to support you, and as she's seen a lot of you her view should carry lots of weight with social services.

I've read or heard that it's normal for babies to lose weight as they start to crawl and walk, and as they move from milk to solids. And your hv has confirmed that she has no concerns even with the weight loss.

Best get D and me ready now, we're off out again to meet my dad at a local cafe. dp should be meeting his mum's social worker about now.

Octothechildherder · 06/02/2008 16:19

Dippy - don;t remember either being like it!

I took him to hosp on sunday because he was totally inconsolable but they couldn't find anything wrong!

I'm too hoping it is a phase!!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/02/2008 16:22

I'm back
it went well
they said my children were a credit to me and lovely boys
then I sent them off with MN leaflets

Brilliant news

Did they say why they visited? What prompted it? etc?

Bramshott · 06/02/2008 16:27

Great news Pillock - although nothing we didn't all know here already! Bet you are relieved!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/02/2008 16:27

It was the man from housing
the one that didn't even come in the door

they are now going to stick a rocket up him for making them rush out as a priority when he lied.

POTC- glad everything went well for you, and I'm affraid that is the only thing I have read about sorry.

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 17:02

Fantastic news Pillock, you had nothing to worry about but I bet it was a bit stressful!
KHIN, what's up?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/02/2008 17:03

don't be daft KHIN, this is the best place to come and moan and be negative
sit down and tell us everything

and then when you've emptied your head of all your worries i'll start a new thread with a catch up so you can see what's been going on!

OP posts:
Kneehighinnappies · 06/02/2008 17:13

I'd love to but I have run out of time for today alas and have to get dinner started, but hopefully if i'm feeling in a better mood tomorrow I shall MOAN, CRY and SCREAM like mad on here.

NorthernLurker · 06/02/2008 17:27

POTC - great result - well done you

KHIN - oh dear - sorry to hear things are tough

GMM -Yeah to the MOT passing! Did you manage to occupy poor barking C?

Just back from town with girls. Dd2 was spending some birthday mopney and we went to Monsoon, tried on and then bought the dresses they are going to be bridesmaids in for my friend. B has fallen asleep on the way home - big question is - how long should I leave her? She was awfully screechy in town - hope this 'phase' doesn't last long!
