just typing my thoughts, hope you don't mind.

Need to cut my food bill really. Have threads saved re doing this but have never really bothered but must chivvy my lardy butt into doing it for the sake of my sanity so that i stop worrying about money so much.

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:49

Eddas
I think we're the same but I have been planning to set something up to keep track of our finances fr a while, at the moment I'm in blissful ignorance!
Do you use MS Money, or just Excel? Might be asking your help!

runnyhabbit · 06/02/2008 08:55

I have just added some pics of the shittip bathroom

PillockOfTheCommunity · 06/02/2008 08:59

morning
taking the boys to nursery then off to town to get another stairgate (i don't think i need it but i'd rather be extra safe).
took J to the evening HV clinic last night, he is still very slightly losing weight
had really hoped he'd started to gain again as he's seemed so much happier, and I really needed the confidence boost for today
the very lovely HV that helped me loads when J was ill was there, and is going to come round today so that I'm not on my own when SS come. They contacted her and she told them that there is absolutely nothing in their notes to say they had any concerns whatsoever, and that from the limited times she'd met me she was certainly not worried in any way.

not likely to be back on before they come, but will get on as soon as I can ater

xx

MORNING

Well I am now BACK AT WORK .

Now haven't got a hope in hell of keeping up with the thread, but wanted to say to you all! Am working out how I'm going to keep up with everyones news ??????????

POTC please can you let me know (text) when new thread titles are needed!! I like to be of some use . My dad used to write news stories/titles for a living for the main news so it's supposed to be in my genes apparently.

Anyway, hope the meet up went well ! Sorry for any news I've missed, hope all are well, and babies are getting easier (very funny emoticon).

I AM EXHAUSTED !!!!!!!!(but thinking of payday !)

Bye ladies x

Eddas · 06/02/2008 10:12

SPB wouldn't ask for my help! Have been doing a spreasheet for years and it's obivously not working I just use excel as I do it at work sssshhh don't tell them! I'm going to look at money saving expert in a bit to see what ideas he comes up with and if i've missed anything obvious!

Pinions, tis tiring this work lark nice to 'see' you

POTC, hope all goes well today, not going to wish you luck as you don't need it. Your boys are well looked after and they will see that. Glad your HV is able to be with you will be thinking of you at 3(not praying though as it's not my thing either)

Hi RH, just off to look at you photos

Eddas · 06/02/2008 10:15

interesting bathroom rh but to look better it has to look worse first focus on the finished look, it WILL be lovely. Feel your pain of living in a mess as we've been doing our huse room by room since July 06 and somewhere always looks crap. ATM it's the front room, but that's the final thing. can't wait til it's done

elkiedee · 06/02/2008 10:16

Morning all, see you later as have to run

oooggs · 06/02/2008 10:43

sorry things were bad last night katy - poorly/angry/awake when should be asleep is hard

I use microsoft money and have done for years

well ds1 is at nursery

ds2 is worse and can't keep anything down and when I went into dd she was asleep in a pool of sick and was covered. Neither of then eating, refusing liquids and are both currently asleep. I am rushing round like a loon trying to do stuff (7 loads of washing & drying due to all the sick & normal stuff).

Just know that they will both just want cuddling for the rest of the day and I only have one pair of hands (angry at lack of hands not sick children!)

All my 'help' are either working/college/have small ones too so best stay away.

Well done pesha at nearly excersing I'm in the 'its the thought that counts camp!!!'

weeonion · 06/02/2008 11:47

good morning folks! what a crud time some of us seem to be having with poorly babies and sleeping probs. heres hoping it all settles soon.

potc - just wanted to say that i hope it goes ok today but there is no reason why it wouldnt. you do so much for the boys. IME social services have to follow up on any report to them even if they kinda know it is ungrounded. they have to be able to sign off any referral as followed through. you have the support of the nursery and HV so it will more than likely just be a routine visit and that will be the end of it. understandably you are annoyed and stressed by it but you will have nothing to worry about. x
spb - when c wasnt sleeping - we tried everything and i got so stressed by it all. we finally agreed to stick to one way to deal with it. like ange said - we never took her out of her room and i couldnt bear to leave her srying so we done a combo of shush pat and just staying in her room. it took weeks but seems to have finally worked - she kinda done it herself in the end. it is tough and when you are knackered - it is so much harder. xx

still no word from work - waiting for the postie to arrive before heading out to SHOP! friends have had babies so a great reason to go and buy small outfits again! . feeling very very very broody - total bump envy.

cazboldy · 06/02/2008 12:27

can't stop for long or catch up.....but just wanted to wish you luots of luck for later Ellie....not that you need it xxx

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 12:27

Octothechildherder · 06/02/2008 12:46

Quick hello - nights here are hideous

Good luck POTC xxx

Sexonlegs · 06/02/2008 12:59

Hi folks,

Just wanted to say

POTC, good luck this afternoon, not that you need it. Will be thinking of you.

WO, hope you get the result you want today

Oooggs, you poor poor thing. I feel for you terribly. As you say, it can only get better. xx

SPB, sorry you had such a rough time last night with T. Hope things get better.

Octo, have you got poorly ds's too?

Hope everyone else is ok.
xx

mammyjo · 06/02/2008 13:08

Hi all. Having a productive day here so just did a quick catch up and then will be off to make dinner for later! F seems to be over her cold now, just not eating much. She always seems to go off her food though so am not overly worried. She is drinking more milk than usual to make up for it anyway. She is due to nursery tomorrow I am bloody dreading it as she has a full day

Octo, sorry to hear you are having crap nights again.

Runny, glad W is brighter now. See what you mean about the bathroom, but it will defintely be worth it in the end!

NL, hope you sort out something with work soon as you sound quite down about it all xx

Oooggs, hope you are feeling better in yourself today. Poor dt's, sickness bugs are so miserable, dread to think what your washing mountain must look like. Really hope they are over it all soon xxx

WO, hope the appeal result is what you are hoping for today >>>>

SPB, glad T finally settled last night. Wanted to say that Ange and NL you were fab sitting it out last night. Support like that is invaluable, you dont get that in RL normally! Hoping he is calmer tonight Katy xxx

Ellie, thinking of you today. Really pleased that the HV is coming round to support you. Hope it all goes well xxx

Pinions, hope work is going ok. I am back to 2/3 days a week from next week and I really dont want to go!

Thats it, off to make veg lasagne now. See you all later

Pesha · 06/02/2008 13:08

Hello again

SPb - glad you got T settled in the end last night, hope you can find something that works

Oooggs - poor poorly babies and poor you Hope its just a short lived 24 hour thing and they're over it soon. I did get to do my exercise in the end as he stopped feeding soon after I posted.

Really cant remember anything else now as have been pooping in to read all morning!

When I got up I could hear a funny water noise and was worried it might be my heating doing something funny. Left the house to go to school and the water noise got louder. Looked round the side and it seems when Nathan popped outside to play yesterday teatime he decided to turn the hose on and stick it in the drainage hole from next doors wall so the bloody thing had been running all night But because we were on our way to school i couldnt really tell him off. So BIG talk when he gets home tonight!

And apologies for any xposts, phone rang halfway through writing this!

mammyjo · 06/02/2008 13:09

oooggs · 06/02/2008 13:14

mammyjo - would love your veg lasagne receipe

good luck ellie

washing mountain going down - lets hope no more sick

Am I being totally stupid feeding them?

oooggs · 06/02/2008 13:18

octo poorly boys?

katy - things ok this morning?

pesha - impressed at excersise!!

sol - hello!

wo - good luck with appeal

runny - new bathrooms are lovely - it WILL be worth it

Sexonlegs · 06/02/2008 13:24

Oooggs, I would hold off feeding them tbh - this is what it seems to suggest in one of the books I have. Especially if they are not keeping fluids down.

Pesha, pmsl at "pooping in"!

Hi MJ!! We are coming to Rhossili

CaptainDippy · 06/02/2008 13:58

& can't put P down for a second. Going mad.

POTC, praying. Remember: You've nothing to prove.

Got book NL, thanks so much. xx

Octothechildherder · 06/02/2008 14:01

Not poorly just awake! argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhh .... (and breathe)

CaptainDippy · 06/02/2008 14:18

I know that feeling only too well, Octo ..... Feels like if P isn't asleep, she is crying atm. I'll hold her and she'll wriggle and struggle, trying to get down and then when I put her down, she cries because I am not holding her. I've put her to bed again because she driving me insane. Hate feeling like this because I love her so much.

"It's just a phase. It's just a phase."

.....and breathe .......

Octothechildherder · 06/02/2008 14:23

Exactly the same here - thank god its not just me!

Am slowly but surely going bonkers!
