BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 27/01/2008 21:14

Diamonds so don't do it for me - but 4k worth of shoes yes please! DH might get lucky for that!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 27/01/2008 21:16

justbeme · 27/01/2008 21:19

Oh had a look on the Tiffany site and saw this
could get my diamond made into a ring like the top one?

milkyJammy · 27/01/2008 21:20

ooh, that's nice JBM!

justbeme · 27/01/2008 21:22

i meant the gold one!! Dont know how much it'll cost though!

milkyJammy · 27/01/2008 21:29

I've got a plastic ring from a cracker and some blu-tack - I'll mount your diamond on it for a fiver

milkyJammy · 27/01/2008 21:33

OK, bed beckons. I'm not banking on 3 full nights in a row and we need to be out of the house sharp tomorrow morning.

justbeme · 27/01/2008 21:52

lol Jammy!! Hope all goes well tomorrow!!

LittleMissNorty · 27/01/2008 22:24

Good luck for tomorrow Jammy x

I haven't labelled a single thing of DDs and we haven't lost anything yet....

thisisRialifebaby · 27/01/2008 22:42

Nope, I have a very uncomfortable single bed in which I sleep with baggins, DH has a very uncomfortable double bed he shares with DS2.

I do think Stephen Fry would be a good bet, but there would be no new prams/diamonds

I've got DH watching "How to make and American Quilt", it's such a girls film, he'll love it. Nice peaceful night for me...

hi & bye norty, I am getting that recipe for you.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 28/01/2008 08:12

Good luck today jammy!

Yay! I won one of those play nest thingies! Should be here on Thursday!

Right I'm getting back on track with the healthy eating from today.

Going to Ikea with a friend who's getting married soon and wants to spent £100 on vases. I don't know if it's having had a baby, or because my wedding was a fairly low key affair but I must admit I'm finding it difficult to get excited about make-up trials and flower arrangements!

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 08:22

Jammy what sort of labels did you use? I got the kit from easy2name and they worked great.

Good luck today anyway although I am sure you will be fine!

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 28/01/2008 09:00

Morning Fury, how are you doing back at work? Finding the commute a bitch?

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 09:12

no it's not too bad actually... I wake up at 5.30, leave for work at about 6.30 -
drive 3 miles to station, 30 mins on train, 15 minute walk at Paddington, jump on underground, 10 minute walk from station to work, at work at 8.00.

Sounds a pain but actually it's not that bad at all as I watch my mini tv thing on the train and it's only 1.5 hours door to door.

hw is your eye?

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 09:12

oh and work is really good, I like it here a lot. I want them to offer me a permy role!

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 28/01/2008 09:21

That's great! I'm not sure how I am going to get to work when I go back (we have a strict carparking scheme) but I am considering getting the bus, it's about half an hour (and it's only across bloody town!) but I might appreciate the opportunity to read and have some time to myself (as long as I don't get o the school bus. Nothing like a bunch of lithe 16 year olds with fawn like legs, smooth skin and clearly more disposable income than me to make me feel like shit )

The eye is not much better. I'm going to have to walk round ikea in my shades! At least it's not painful (unless DD whacks me, which she does often!) How's yours?

Uh oh, I can hear her majesty now. Back later x

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 28/01/2008 09:38

morning all

fury glad you like your new job better seems funny not going back to work I keep thinking I will and then remember I've resigned

bumper glad you got a nest thingy it is very handy in the kitchen etc

jammy hope all goes well this am

jbm am loving the ring setting

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 09:59

What are these nest things? Can someone send a picture/link?

DH is going to resign. Argh!

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 10:03

DS is doing my head in. He's so naughty.

His 'things' now are crawling at the speed of light across the room laughing at me as I chase him.
His other thing is taking off his clothes while you are driving and dropping socks/shoes/hats etc on the floor and laughing manically.

His other thing is feeding the dog all the fod I give him. He takes a bite, then laughs and gives the rest to the dog.

Bathtime he spins round and round laughing and swallowing bathwater then pukes everywhere.

Bed time is also becoming harder as now every time you put him down, he sits up and shouts and refuses to lie down.

Tell me it gets easier.

LittleMissNorty · 28/01/2008 10:11

Oh sounds like fun Fury

I have to put the dog in another room when I feed DD for the same reasons.

We had a bit of a choking episode the other day....she got a bit of eggy bread caught in her throat. I had to unclip her from her harness in high chair, pull her out and wallop her on her back. The bread came back into her mouth (covered in phlegm urgh) and she then screamed the place down. It bloody frightened me and I haven't given her any finger food since ....any wise words anyone? Should I bite the bullet and try again? Did I do something wrong? Should I not give her bread? Whose doing BLW? Bumper? Any problems so far or is there something the matter with my DD?

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 10:26

Sorry Norty no wise words!
Must have been scary!

DS often chokes and gags on finger food - and has vommed up a lot of crap too - I just give him a rest that day and the next day try again

LittleMissNorty · 28/01/2008 10:42

It was horrible. She couldn't breathe - although only for a moment, it was scary.....put me right off

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 28/01/2008 11:00

norty I would persevere I give lo sandwiches all the time and he does gag a bit as long as it is reasonably soft they seem to be ok
well done on getting it out it must have been very scary
I always give finger sized so he gums a bit off iyswim

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 28/01/2008 11:02

fury sorr y didn't mean to ignore you aby nest would be waste of koney for you as he would crawl right out here
