sorry money for you !

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 28/01/2008 11:02

lordy my typing was atrocious then

foxythesnowman · 28/01/2008 11:06

Fury these are great DS'd love it!

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 11:19

Andiem yes totally right that would be no good for DS!

LMN really - It must have been scary and upsetting but do persevere. If DS is shaken I normall just take a step back that day but then the next day he has finger food again. He gags and has choked really badly before but each time he does get better and develops more control.
One thing I found helped is breaking the eggy bread into baby bite sized pieces or using rice cakes to get the confidence back up.

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 11:21

Hi Foxy,
I thought about getting one of those but our house is too small, nowhere for him to move!

He has one at nursery though and I think they said he does like it.

foxythesnowman · 28/01/2008 11:27

Its not a babywalker, it doesn't move. They sit/stand in the middle and can move themselves around the activities.

They do take up a lot of space, but you can pass them on easily.

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 11:40

ah ok didn't realise that!
If he starts to get bored of terrorising the dog I may look into it. Fortunately he is reasonably happy in his playpen for short periods so no panic just yet!

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 11:57

Morning everyone

Do you have a door bouncer Fury? We love them here (in fact Baby Sputnik is loving his right now). The can move and be upright but not go anywhere! Best value for money I ever had from a baby item I think.

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 12:00

no, no door bouncer...just a floor and playpen

We never really bought much as 5 days a week he just comes home, has a bath then goes to bed, I only need to entertain him 2 days a week

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 12:03

Can I have a very quick proud mummy moment please?
DD's teacher was telling me this morning how intelligent, mature and responsible she was , apleasure to have in the class etc. Makes it all worthwhile.

foxythesnowman · 28/01/2008 12:07

Awwwww, Sputnik!

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 12:07

They're not expensive, we have one of these

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 12:09

I have been basking in a glow of smugness all morning

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 12:17

aww sputnik that's very cool

milkyJammy · 28/01/2008 13:24

That's lovely Sputnik.

And Norty, that's scary about the choking. Well done, and don't give up.

C loved the firsat hour of nursery, and then cried for the last half hour. She tokk a few mouthfuls of milk from abottle and then started screaming apparently. I wonder if having a bottle made her realise that I wasn't there? I also think she was getting tired as she slept for half an hour after we left and then chatted and laughed at me all the way home on the bus.

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 13:26

could well be tiredness, all the new sights and stimulations might have worn her out a bit?

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 13:32

DS woke up at 11, 2, 4 and 5 last night, hungry only once, the others were kind of panic screaming, I think it's his teeth.

I am so tired I can hardly even do my job today

milkyJammy · 28/01/2008 13:39

Sounds unpleasant Fury.

C just had a breadstick and crab for lunch. She loved it, though it was messy

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 13:43

She was probably just tired out. How did it go for you? It's really odd handing them over for the first time isn't it. At the one DD used to go to they insisted on you being there the first few times, then going out for 1/2 an hour etc, but they started at 18 months.

LittleMissNorty · 28/01/2008 13:44

Glad she got on ok Jammy...

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 13:45

Sounds like teeth. Commiserations Fury.

HellHathNoFury · 28/01/2008 13:47

Thanks sputnik.
I just need a bit of sleep!
Poor sod was so unhappy - but I thought it might be teeth because while he was asleep he screamed, as soon as he woke up and had 'distractions' he was as happy as larry.

Sputnik · 28/01/2008 13:49

Hi LMN, that choking incident sounded scary, I would've been terrified.
