ARSE
I've stayed in for 2 hours on this lovely day to wait for my first Asda delivery and nw they've called me to say oops we'll be at least 45 mins late - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am royally p'ed off. I can't refuse delivery as otherwise I'll have to go to the supermarket which will take even longer, but if they don't get here until nearly 2 then I won't have time to go shopping before collecting DD from childminder. Buggery Arse.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

Hello, everyone. Glad it's Friday? The mini meet-up tomorrow sounds fun.

Yippee for baby Fury's sleeping through. I hope it's a sign of things improving for you.

justbeme · 01/02/2008 13:18

Lol Fury and MHC!
I'll be the one at the back - just call me "Mum of jelly legs!"

Oh I thought the Laptop man said that the box contained toilet roll Fury? What happened there?

ps that should be fun tomorrow - dont forget to update us after the meet!

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 13:18

FF that does suck. I have never used Asda, is this normal for them?

MHC yes please do, we can be lazy together. I think if we can get DH's to position the TV for us (we cannot do it ourselves, too much energy wasted) then I see no reason why not.

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 13:19

the box that it was swapped with had a blue dress and loo roll in it?! Either way it was for someone, they just got the numbers mixed!

I didn't realise it was a regular thing MHC, I usually use DHL although I have heard bad stories about them too.

justbeme · 01/02/2008 13:20

oh and hope they'll be no key "swapping" -
oh just ignore me and my warped sense of humour!

Arse for you Fairy as well - ive never tried delivery - cant you complain, you might get something free next time?

I've never used them before and don't think I'll bother again tbh. They've offered to refund me £12 for inconvenience. Not a big deal really but better than nothings I suppose. Anyway, it's still not here so we shall see when it turns up. If it's not within the extra £45 mins promised then they'll be getting another large piece of my mind

justbeme · 01/02/2008 13:33

Oh thats not too bad then Fairy - £12 I mean.

MHC how do you like your BG nappies?
Mine have started leaking abit now - and my white ones ALWAYS leak - am thinking of mailing co. - Any one else have this?

FairyFay · 01/02/2008 13:35

I agree that £12 isn't bad at all, I'm just really p'ed off that it's ruined my plans. I have some vouchers and had a nice afternoon in kingston planned to spend them, and now it looks like I won't be able to go . Internet shopping is supposed to make your life easier not harder.

justbeme · 01/02/2008 13:38

for you then Fairy - but hey look on the bright side - you've been able to chat to us instead!! - No I suppose there's no comparison really is there!! Mumsnet v new shoes..........
L is waking up - and I need to give her lunch go and to Bumps and bundles - it starts at 2 - so we're going to be late!!
Catch up later!!

FairyFay · 01/02/2008 13:40

good point jbm , but tbh I'd rather have been shopping as I don't get much chance these days. Enjoy bumps n babies

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 13:44

JBM I was BG's biggest fan but then I got pissed off with them as they kept leaking.
I went to the site and followed all the instructions, tried boosting etc etc and alas no good so I sold them all.

I think actually it's because DS is a magnificently heavy wetter. Even disposables leak at night. I am quite impressed with his abilities. Shame about the bumgenius though they cost me a bleeding fortune.

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 13:48

MHC I have had that 'attempted' delivery thing too, and I am quite urban!
And I was home all day!

I hate courier services sometimes. I use DHL only because they piss me off marginally less than parcelforce.

The one that Amazon uses (and a few other places) is the worst - if no-one is home they just lob it over the garden fence.

I was ever so thrilled the other day to find my new canvas photos sitting in the garden in the rain where they had been chucked over.

FairyFay · 01/02/2008 13:53

blardy hell, the delivery firms sound as if they are all as bad as each other.

btw, good news on the replacement car, fury

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 14:08

in fact it was about 2 weeks ago I arranged a collection - they never turned up but they had advised the booking agent that the 'parcel was not ready'

errr what?

It was sitting, very ready. They just didn't bother turning up.

Good old DHL.

Sputnik · 01/02/2008 14:12

I thought it was only me that lived up the arsehole of the moon (Italian expression) that had that problem with couriers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY

I remembered that because it's mine tomorrow
Off to make a massive chocolate cake with DD, I may be gone some time

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 14:54

Happy birthday Daisy!

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 15:01

In that case then Happy Birthday Daisy

and

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Sputnik (My brain is so woolly that I'll prob have forgottne by tomorrow )

Sputnik · 01/02/2008 15:16

Thanks!
I probably won't be around at the weekend anyway. We are going for lunch at the seaside tomorrow (hope it doesn't piss it down).

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 15:27

Oh I had better get in there too!

Happy birthday for tomorrow sputnik, enjoy the beach!

I just saw an advert for Ocado, saying that because they don't have any shops they keep X cars of the road. Aren't they just another name for Waitrose groceries online? In which case people can go out by car to the Waitrose shop?
