I'm actually out of my PJs, but only into slobbing-round-the-house gear, and C has swapped her vommed-on PJs for a cosy sleepsuit, so we're not very far progressed in the being presentable stakes.

Izzybel · 01/02/2008 09:52

Do you mean like when you call people honey, but shorten it to hun, like "oh thanks hun!" I think I'm with ya.

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 09:53

That's the one!

Izzybel · 01/02/2008 09:54

I always clean in my pjs, then completely forget the time and then before I know it it's dinner but I just thing what's the point in getting my clothes mucked up .

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 09:56

Hi Izzy, Jammy, Foxy if you are still about and not yet being mother of the year...

When you go on the for sale threads they all call each other huns, like, 'I'll email you later hun'.
It's pretty much what Jammy said but we take the piss.
So all the people that buy and sell lots of prams etc are 'huns'.

I suppose by that definition I am also a hun but would not be caught dead actually calling someone a hun. Unless I was taking the piss.

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 09:57

I used to do all the housework on a Sat morning, in my PJs, then finish with a bath, throwing dirty PJs in the wash and getting out a clean set of clothes for going out on Sat afternoon. My PJs ended up all bleach marked down the leg though from me spilling when cleaning the loo - but better them than my proper trousers

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 09:57

Jammy sorry to hear you are ill. Are we still on tomorrow?

Izzybel · 01/02/2008 09:57

Right I must be off, I've got loads to do! Boooo! I'll probably be back later to see how everyone's day has been. See ya later!

Izzybel · 01/02/2008 10:01

I alway used to call people hun and chick! Must remember not on mn, or I'll get my arse kicked ,lol. Right, reeeally off now!

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 10:05

Should be fine Fury. 'Tis just a cold. I might just have a box of tissues with me though

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 10:08

ditto Jammy, me and DH have noses like taps atm.

DS - as is now usual - has a nice gunky snotty nose. Gotta love nursery.

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 10:26

C just coughed hard which made her throw up her mid-mrning milk. Seems happy playing though, so can't be too much wrong. Just a cold/cough

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 11:07

on the phone to kia... fingers crossed...

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 11:08

Jammy DS has been coughing LOADS for about a week now. I just think it's a nursery thing maybe. He doesn't seem bothered by it much, I think sometimes these things upset us more than them!

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 11:12

Oh I agree Fury. She doesn't seem bothered at all. She was grabbing for my toast within about 30 seconds of puking up the milk.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 01/02/2008 11:14

Morning, glad DD is ok jammy. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Good luck fury!

Foxy, have fun swimming.

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 11:17

Hi Bumper! How are you?

Yes, looking forward to tomorrow. And should be a sunny day too

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 01/02/2008 11:30

I still look a fright btw. Actually it looks worse now than it did before as the bruising seems to have spend and is now going yellow! I look like a puppy with a patch over it's eye!

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 11:40

oooh sexy bumper!
My eye is almost normal, thankfully. I was worried for a while, I only looked a freak for 2 weeks.
Am looking forward to tomorrow

Just been on the phone to kia...they have approved a hire car! woohooooo!
It became principle in the end.
I should get it tonight/tomorrow. No idea what it will be...although hopefully not a kia

milkyJammy · 01/02/2008 11:55

MHC, sorry you've got more illness to deal with. Snotty toddlers are particularly yum!

Hope you have a nice time at the wedding tomorrow. At least you're in a better position re BF than an ex work colleague of mine who had to BF her few-week-old DD at a wedding where she was chief bridesmaid!

justbeme · 01/02/2008 12:59

Afternoon!
So where are you 3 meeting up tomorrow then? (I take it its without DP's?)

Just put my name down for a free Buggyfit class next tuesday - Its run by "Mums of Steel" - looks like they have classes also finchley/barnet way - (is that Izzybells?)

Glad to here things are looking up re Kia Fury - what happened re the Laptop in the end?

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 13:07

Laptop?
AHHHH LAPTOP!!
Yes parcelforce lost it, they got the consignment numbers mixed, but they recovered it and delivered it to the guy who was less than grateful! Bastard. But it's sorted now!

Still nothing concrete on the courtesy car but I am getting somewhere now.

We are meeting WITH DH's!! lol that should be fun, poor sods getting roped in

HellHathNoFury · 01/02/2008 13:09

JBM you are very brave joining anywhere with the name 'mums of steel'. Makes me think of super fit wonder woman types that can do chin ups for an hour.

I ought to join a class called 'Mums of ability to sit on ones arse'
