April 2007 - As 6 months has passed, a time to reflect on just how lucky we are

It's easy to forget just how lucky we are to have beautiful healthy children

Our thoughts are with Vio and her family

And I'm sure we're all thinking of those that have been absent lately, and hoping that they know they can return to us if they need us at any time, no questions asked

PINIONS, SMOLE, MUMINA..., NUTTY, OCTO, (AND ANYONE ELSE I'VE MISSED)...........

sorry, feeling soppy

elkiedee · 12/09/2007 00:46

You're admitting to being soppy, Pillock. I knew it

And with that, goodnight,

StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2007 06:07

Morning
Pillock nursery visit went well thanks, we really liked it, have another one today

StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2007 06:18

Can't believe we are still managing to offend people with our thread titles. Let's just have "week commencing..." and be done with it.
OTOH good title Pillock, was thinking exactly that

Sexonlegs · 12/09/2007 07:56

Morning all.

Lovely title for the thread POTC.

SPB, glad the nursery visit went well - good luck for today.

Hope everyone is ok. Have a good Wednesday! xx

StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2007 08:16

morning SOL

runnyhabbit · 12/09/2007 08:36

Morning all

The one morning, everyone is in their own bed, I was actually having a lovely sleep. Dh decides to be an elephant and makes as much noise as possible Wakes up J, W and me in the process This was 6am, and only W has gone back to sleep.

Arse.

Still, I know things could be a lot worse. So about vio.

W still waking about 2/3 times in the night. Why won't men do what they're told

Sol - I've emailed you a letter for you to cats your expert eye over. (had to stop myself from being v sarcastic in it!)

CD - whats the news with the job?

Sexonlegs · 12/09/2007 09:33

Runny, arse to men! Have emailed you back.

I am knackered to the point of being dizzy. Slept really well as well so no idea why.

mammyjo · 12/09/2007 09:36

Morning all! Hope everyone is doing ok.

So so to read the news about baby James. My thoughts are with vio and her family Really makes you appreciate what you have got. Just want to cuddle Ffion today xxxx

Maveta, lovely to see you. Hope the hospital appointment goes ok. Would probably translate myself if I could, I would end up feeling bad if I didnt IYKWIM.

Oooggs, glad you are having a good time

Ange, nice to see you back. Good luck with the photos! >>>

CD, what has happened with the job? Hope you are ok.

Runny, see you tomorrow

octoandflash · 12/09/2007 10:16

Just popped back to post my condolences to Vio It is just your worst nightmare - poor thing - really do feel for her Children tend to have a more black and white take on it though - ds says not to worry as people who die will be looked after by angels and they will make new friends in heaven. Also that heaven is in Devon

Hope you are all okay - it does bring it home to you how lucky you are when you have a healthy happy family. When MIL died it put stuff really into persepctive and channels energy into being positive and grateful.

May hang about today ... ds2 standing on the back of my chair destroying my lovely flowers on the windowsill and ernie yelling ... back soon xxxx

YvieE · 12/09/2007 10:23

Hello April mummies

Its been a couple of months since i last posted, no internet access, then holidays in Northampton! and then pure laziness - but i have missed the support and friendship from you all. I hope you all and the little ones are doing well.
I was so sad to hear about Vio's son James, my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
S is such a big girl now - 16 lb 7 to be exact! and she has cut her first tooth. I am feeling very drained at the mo and go back to work in about 4 weeks, so am fretting about that. I'll try and upload some pics onto my profile and hope to chat more.
Love Yve

elkiedee · 12/09/2007 10:28

Morning to anyone who's about. Just trying to get myself together to make a couple of calls while D seems happy in his play gym (he just had a feed). His 4 month jabs are this afternoon.

Good to see you Octo.

octoandflash · 12/09/2007 10:43

morning elkie

what thread title offended???

Idreamofchocolate · 12/09/2007 10:54

Morning. Good to see you Octo, and Yvie welcome back! S is gorgeous, totally yummy!

(it's Emmymummy by the way)

Kneehighinnappies · 12/09/2007 11:07

Morning all, it is still morning?

So sad for vio, my thoughts are with her and her family, it is such a terrible thing to happen.

Not much to report here. pretty average at the mo, but average is good.

I hope that you are all well and so are your lo's and I will be think of all of you, while I bugger off out shopping!
With all the kids on my own!

elkiedee · 12/09/2007 11:08

Welcome back Yvie. Are you going back full or part time and have you got things organised or is that what you're worrying about? I'm beginning to get really anxious even though I've got months yet - I do sort of look forward to going back though I'm sure I'll wonder why when the time comes closer, never thought I'd feel like that.

Kneehighinnappies · 12/09/2007 11:09

Hi YvieE

elkiedee · 12/09/2007 11:09

KHIN, how do you get about shopping with the three kids? Is one in a sling or do you have a triple buggy?

octoandflash · 12/09/2007 11:13

Hi Yvie and KHIN

Its quiet on here these days!

Ernie is verging on angelic at the moment but still not sleeping through. Slowly changing to ff now as he screams when bf him and wants a bottle - ready to do it this time He can shuffle along on his back across the floor and has taken to eating his feet. He has also become a real thumb sucker which my others never did. He has a cold atm which is luuurrvvvely!!!

Must go play with the boys .... am being pestered ....!

octoandflash · 12/09/2007 11:14

{{{straightens mummy goggles}}}} and wanders off to be a good mummy

CaptainDippy · 12/09/2007 11:32

LOL Octo - Good to have you back here!

Great thread title, E!

Great to see you Yvie! S is yummmmmmmmmmm!

Don't know what is happening with the job - Boss called yesterday and wants to give me "a couple of weeks off" because "they are not making enough money and can't afford to pay me" Not sure if they will call me to work again.

Anyway, feeling ok apart from that .... How is everyone else today?? My dad is coming down soon and we are taking the girlies to the local Sheep Centre - should be fun!

Baa!

octoandflash · 12/09/2007 11:40

hi dippy

ds2 trying to feed ds3 acorns

lunchtime then ds2 off to school, then another school run, tea, football, bath, bed and then off to a pampered chef party!

lalalalalalala sanity check

elkiedee · 12/09/2007 11:52

Ouch Dippy that sounds like a difficult situation. I assume it's the flexibility of that job which has been important to you.

Wish I was nearer to Eastbourne so I could come and buy things there (when they're giving you work and paying you of course).

StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2007 12:00

Hi everyone especially to Yvie and Octo - Yvie, S is lovely!
Well been to look at another nursery which was equally as nice as the other one, good dilemma to have I suppose

CaptainDippy · 12/09/2007 12:15

Nice dilemma - go for the cheapest!!

Thank you Elkie!

Sanity, what is sanity!!!!!? Busy day there, octo!!

Right, need to get DD2 up and feed her lunch before my dad gets here and then off to the Sheep Centre .......

Whoooooooop!

Laters. xx
