And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

phew thank god today is almost over been a boring long day and ellie and nephew been eating me out of food (ellie not normally a 'big' eater but had 3 bowls of cereal, huge lunch and 2 helpings of dinner plus mid morning and afternoon snack )

LAL glad I could help you were great to me when I was sitting in the car snivelling back in April

Just me and Hattie tomorrow morning so think I am going to make a consience effort to play with her rather than plonk her on the floor with some toys whilst I get on, she started crawling in a funny fashion at the weekend, but mastered proper crawling now and keeps following me/Ellie but also is ot very good at judgoing distances hence few bumps and I have to remind Ellie to put her small toys on the table as caught Hattie with Sleeping Beauty's comb in her mouth today!

btw- laughalot - we see that from the other side! First days at school are so sweet, and the children ALWAYS settle in pretty quick. Bless them!

eandh · 19/09/2007 20:24

My only saving grace is the fact that Hattie sleeps for 1.5hours in morning (up at 6am back in bed by 8am ) and then another hour around 1-2ish but its also the time Ellie wants me to play/help her so compromise is if I need to do veg etc for dinner I peel and chop and she puts stuff in saucepans/I need to sweep up I chase her with broom etc

Glad all went well Laughalot. Dreading it myself but still have another year to go!

Off to my dads in Inverness for a holiday tomorrow morning so will see you all in a week! Have a good weekend everyone. xxx

Galmum · 20/09/2007 10:20

Hi all,

Just to popped back to say hello - sorry to have been missing in action for so long. We have moved house, been on a fab holiday to N.Wales and started doing the house up. Nearly came to blows with people we bought the house from - we are never moving house ever again!!

Also Dh's stepfather has died of ms - glad to struggle is over for him.

Days flying by spent trying to buy paint, fabric etc etc. Dh thinks I've really lost it as we're going to be painting LO's room with fume free, organic type paint!!

Any news - anyone pregnant again? Tried to read back but failed - too lazy!

PS I'm an old bird - born in 72

Galmum lovely to hear from again i often onder where you have vanshied too .

Ratfly wait untill they are mouthy toddlers .

Aidan was really good today no tears. When I picked him up he had a star for being a good boy and also for not crying, he says he wants to go again in the morning which is fine by me but what happens on saturday when he wants to go I see a paddy looming.

Its so quiet on here where has everyone gone ? Do you all have lives ?

2Happy · 20/09/2007 14:34

Afternoon.

Dh - thank you so much for messaging me, it was great of you. I am fine though, just feel like I don't really have much to say these days. You know, half the week I go to work, come home and put the kids to bed, then go to bed myself. The rest of the week I'm doing the housework I didn't do when I was at work, and trying to make up the time with dses. Dunno. Just don't feel like I'm exactly adding much to the thread IYKWIM . Anyway, I was really touched, and I hope you have a great week. (I may have mentioned this before, I do go on...) I lived in Inverness for a year, and had lots of time there before that. I loved it, and always like going back for visits. Re: playgroup - ds1 joined one in August, he's only just 2, so pretty young for it, but my CM helps out there so he'd been there loads of times already anyway and it's on 2 of the mornings I work, so fits in pretty well. Can't help with how to choose, he was invited to 2 different groups - the advantage of living in the sticks where there's a low bith rate!! It seems good, there's a good staff-child ratio, they don't insist on the child being toilet trained (ds1 still not interested ), they send playpacks home with the child every week, all the staff have kids of their own etc.

Galmum - really great to hear from you, we've been wondering how the house hunting had gone. I'm sure it must have been really emotional leaving your last place - hope the decorating isn't too exhausting!

Eah - my dob is 25/07/76. The new teacher sounds fab. Menu planning, hmm, I did that before going on mat leave and keep meaning to re-start, it is so much more convenient! Moroccan chicken for us tonight.

Jodie - many congrats about the course, when does it start? How are dd's eyes?

Annieapple - great to see you too, totally agree about the smocks!

ratfly - 35 kids - hats off to you! How old are they?

See? Blah blah blah. I'm still boring.
