And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

I'm back too although did have a sneaky read of the thread on weds night when footie was on as worked out how to use my internet on mobile!

Had a great time but 5 days with Ellie was enough she has worn us out, been swimming at least once every day (Hattie finds licking te bubbles in the jacuzzi amusing ) and done every single activity there was. Think we'll rebook next year for 5 days again as Ellie cried on the way home

Well Hattie has progressed in a week she'll crawl but only if you lay some food out of her reach and her first tooth is just cutting (well the corner is right on the gum)

LTH/UD have fun (think I was fairly near lizz/lth on hols as kept seeing signs for brighton)

Sorry so many messages no time for personals as have 5 loads of washing to do plus I need some sleep!

theUrbanDryad · 15/09/2007 08:26

morning all - dh has gone off to his interview this morning. lots and lots of good luck vibes please!! i'm so nervous for him!

theUrbanDryad · 15/09/2007 19:01

well - it's been busy on here today! we're celebrating tonight cause dh got the job!! woo hoo!!! i'm so pleased for him - the only thing is, we do need to move closer to London, probably High Wycombe or somewhere. we're looking at houses at the moment, but he won't start till the 1st working day of January, so we've got plenty of time.

eandh · 15/09/2007 19:48

wow well done mr ud!! OOOOO UD you'll be closer to me then(london about 50mins on the train )

Had a text from laughalot - they are all home safely from their holiday

Spent most of today washing and ironing I cant believe the amount of washing we created in 5 days DH and Ellie have been playing dentists most of the day, sadist child enjoys pretending to pull peoples teeth out and then writes sick notes so they dont have to go back to work on Monday Hattie been doing her one legged crawl(its hysterical watching her) but she'll only move if she spies food anywhere (now who does she take after?)

LadyTophamHatt · 15/09/2007 19:57

Did you get any other good luck texts this morning Ud?

No??

Ok well, I'll take full credit for DH getting the job then

Excellent news, lets all do some house hunting for you....

(BTW look at these I bought earlier....I want them now, this minute, this very second in fact!!

eandh · 15/09/2007 20:01

am loving those lth - dh bought himself some navy blue converses last weekend and I got ellie some glittery ones (and hattie a baby 'converse lookalike' pair)

LadyTophamHatt · 15/09/2007 20:06

They are FAB, aren't the EandH.
They do them in pink too but thought I'd have a change from the norm.

having sooooo mnay boys in the house means I buy ALOT of pink....feel quit erebelious at buying orange

eandh · 15/09/2007 20:07

we have the opposite problem we have so much pink/lilac in this house dh gets excited if i buy the girls anything blue/green!!

LadyTophamHatt · 15/09/2007 20:12

Pink ones, orange is deffo nicer though

Wilkie · 15/09/2007 20:22

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo Mr UD! That is fantastic news. Am so pleased for you matey

LTH - what were you thinking?!?!?! I hate Converse almost as much as Crocs!!!!!

J is being a PITA tonight and keps crying every 5 mins. We had a code brown in the bath last night too which I had to fish out with my hand. NICE!!!!!!!

ratfly · 15/09/2007 20:55

Hi again!

I have been so rubbish at posting on this thread - what with work, setting up a toddler group (what was I thinking?!), conservation group and S, I have soooo little time!!! by evening, I can barely slump infront of the telly.

Anyway, glad you are all doing ok. I have read all your posts recently, but by the time I try to post replies, I forget what I was going to reply . damn baby brain - one day I hope to get my pregnancy brain back. lol.

S suddenly started crawling, cruising and walking with a trolley, all in the space of a couple of days. We have had to baby proof now - dh tried to replace the glass in the tv cabinet but after whacking it 8 times with a hammer, we figured it might be toughened glass after all!

Will TRY HARDER to keep up to date with this thread....

Shimmer · 15/09/2007 21:02

Welcome back EAH & Wilkie. Glad you had good holidays. We're off for a week next Friday. Can't wait! Bit worried about the long drive though, it's gonna be about 6 hours up to the lakes. Any tips for keeping LO happy sitting in his carseat for all that time???

CONGRATULATIONS Mr UD. London rocks.

I do love those shoes LTH. I'm back at work mid-Oct at which time i hope to earn some money to actually spend on fun stuff for myself, instead of every single penny we have at the moment going on boring essentials

Am going shopping tomorrow though as F has suddenly grown loads! Literally in the last 2 days he's suddenly grown out of all his 6-9 months clothes. Almost all his troucers are now up round his knees! I can't believe we're on to 9-12m. stuff already

LadyTophamHatt · 15/09/2007 21:04

before we now it , shimmer it'll be their 1st birthdays.

and

ratfly · 15/09/2007 21:09

shimmer - can you do the drive after his bedtime at all? Or drive during nap times? We drove to Ireland and made a couple of days of it - driving when he slept and when he was awake going for some food or a walk.

Carotte · 15/09/2007 21:10

Very nice, LTH, better in ornage I think. These are my new boots [http://www.mrshoes.co.uk/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=1063 here]] Only I like them. They are cosy and slouchy, I have quite smart Camper ones for when i don't feel like being such a scruff.

I also bought a Dior dribble bib today It was £4, and very sweet. DH was shaking his head at me.

Are you all ok? Well done UD, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILKIE! Is it gone already?

LO had bottom teeth and is whizzing all over now. He wears loads of 9-12 clothes, he's massive. I do get a few funny looks feeding him in town now. Oh well.

Carotte · 15/09/2007 21:10

here even

LadyTophamHatt · 15/09/2007 21:11

wilkie....

geoRGEEweasley · 16/09/2007 09:51

Congrats to Mr UD!!!! How's your head this morning UD after the celebrations?

Hi to Wilkie and EaH . Glad you had lovely hols. Wilkie did you have a good birthday?
EaH and LTH I find myself purposefully buying blue stuff. I'm totally not a girl (well, I obviously am a girl, but don't do giggles and coy (definition of girl ), aslthough I have been known to shudder when I see big house spiders). Maybe I'm also subconsiously thinking ahead to a potential ds???

Hi Ratfly. Work has properly got in the way of my Mnetting. What a pita!!

Hi Shimmer. I don't envy your long journey, but echo what Ratfly said about driving up at bedtime. What stage car seat is F in? We just moved P into the next stage car seat yesterday, and I found she was much happier facing forward (but slightly dangerous as I had varying urges to turnaround and chat to her whilst driving down the M1.......).
P is also in 9-12 months clothes. But am slightly sad I won't be able to find a hideous "My First Christmas" outfit, as presume they won't do them in size 12 - 18 months when the time comes (I can't wait to dress her up in the most tacky seasonal clothes and bring out said photos in later life ). I guess I will just have to find a bog standard Santa outfit

Hiya MrsC. Am getting most confused by your name changes of late. Are you having an identity crisis?

DH on a 13+ mile run at the mo, lo asleep. Peaceful house. Am taking advantage of our first Sunday at home in infinity weeks to cook a roast dinner later today nom nom. Nipping out soon to get the papers, then can lounge about this afternoon with full bellies and a glass or three of wine. Anyone care to join in?

Carotte · 16/09/2007 10:28

Not an identity crisis, Rgee, an age one. I am 30 soon, and I thought the Mrs made me sound mumsy, and I am feeling paranoid about vbeing mumsy. Carrot was taken can you believe it? They better not come back

IsItPimmsOClock · 16/09/2007 12:32

Hello all, long time no post! (used to be hattie2 for those who don't recognise the name). I have been lurking on occaision and have tried to keep up but failed miserably.

It's been a busy summer for LO - I posted back in June about him having a problems with his neck and consequently a very flat head on one side. To cut a long story short he was diagnosed with very severe plagiocephaly (anything over 12mm asymmetry is considered severe and he was 28mm) and has been wearing a cranial remoulding helmet since middle of July. He has to wear it 23 hours a day and he has been a complete star and got used to it really quickly and the improvement has been amazing. In 2 months he's down to 15mm asymmetry and we're hoping he'll be in the 'normal' range by Christmas.
As well as helmet check ups every 2 weeks he has physio and osteopath appointments every other week to work on his neck muscles.

Other than that DD has just started in reception and I'm still working 4 days a week so just not enough time in the day to MN properly!

Anyway, off to catch up on all your news in the last couple of weeks and will try and keep up to date!

Carotte · 16/09/2007 12:36

Oh, Hattie2, sorry to hear that. Thank goodness it's improving, what a worry for you.

I have wondered where you are though I haven't been around so much myself. Nice to hear from you.

laughalot · 16/09/2007 14:40

Helllllllllllooooooooooooo missed you all im afraid I havent got time to catch up on the posts but hope you are all well.

LadyTophamHatt · 16/09/2007 17:40

Mine and UD's mini Mn meet was FAB.

and I'm sorry to say ladies that DS4 and miniUd ARE, without a doubt the cutest boys in the land.

Bliemy what a handsome pair they are!

Will upload some photos once I get permission for UD.

Was lovely to see you UD, won't say meet coz it didn't feel like we've only just met. Was a lovely day.

Lizzzombie · 16/09/2007 21:27

Hello everyone!

Sorry I missed your birthday wilkie. Hope your celebrations were fun, and you were spoilt etc!

MrsC - 30 was my favourite birthday ever! I had a great year! 31 was less fun, as birthday was celebrated sober (pregnant) and I am DREADING 32...it will be 8 years till I am 40 !!! I can remember my mother being 40!....

UD - that is such great news, you must be so pleased. Now all you need to do is find the perfect place to live...it will all fall into place easy peasy...y'know its only 45 mins from Brighton to Victoria...you could move down here!

LTH - I think your shoes look "groovy" (it is acceptable to use that word as I am in my thirties!) A friend of mine has turquiose ones like it..but she has size 8 feet...so they look a bit huge.

Rgee...I am off to fling worms at you on facebook now!

We took Dj to the swings today for the first time...he was ambivilant. Photos will be uploaded in a moment!

ratfly · 16/09/2007 21:44

Hi again - trying to catch up with you all before the dirge of the week begins!

Laughalot - glad you had a great holiday . Would love to see the pics!

MrsC and Lizzombie - you are making me feel really OLD now! I remember 30 too well. I am 32 now , and feel really past it! Like you said LZ, only 8 years to 40

Jodie - good news about not having a bad egg allergy. I am so scared of trying S on egg, as he even reacted to the antibiotics they gave him for his eczema infection . It is scary to think they may have food allergies, so that E is ok with egg.

and Happy (belated) Birthday Wilkie!

S has a bad cold now. After his eczema flare because of the antibiotics, I thought we were in for a peaceful time, but oh no, he has been waking every hour all snuffly. Bless.

And we tried S in wheat and peas, and it appears he can eat them both! Yay! (I though that he reacted to peas last time, but his eczema was bad anyway, so it might just have been a bad day).
