And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ratfly · 16/09/2007 21:46

oh yes, I forgot - do you wise people know when we can put them in a forward facing car seat? Are there certain regulations about weight etc? And can you sit them in the front in one, or do they have to stay in the back [brainless mum emoticon]

Lizzzombie · 16/09/2007 21:54

Ratfly...32 is not old!
33 is old!

LadyTophamHatt · 16/09/2007 21:57

thanks Lizz, I'm 34.

ratfly · 16/09/2007 22:04

LTH - but only 33 is old! when you are past 33, you become young again ;)

I think I shall skip 33 then...

Wilkie · 16/09/2007 22:09

I'M 26! 26! 26! 26!

So young and fresh looking

Lizzzombie · 16/09/2007 22:15

LTH ... I know!!!

but obviously you don't look it!

Wilkie..26?! Gosh, I dont even remember being that age it was so long ago. You'll be buying your clothes at priciples and shoes at clarks before you know it!

Wilkie · 16/09/2007 22:19

ratfly · 16/09/2007 22:19
IsItPimmsOClock · 16/09/2007 22:22

I like the sound of that ratfly - do you get even younger the further past 33 you get [hopeful emoticon]??

Lizz - we did the swings for the first time today as well, J decided sucking the chain was the way to do it, yuk!!

Lizzzombie · 16/09/2007 22:26

Wilkie - you are old before your time.

am off to bed now...before I insult anyone else unintentionally!!!

Lizzzombie · 16/09/2007 22:27

Pimms - chain sucking?! ugh...it doesnt bear thinking about does it!

Lizzzombie · 16/09/2007 22:29

Also...one more quick thing before I go...

DJ has really rubbery ears. Does anyone elses' Lo have this? Does the cartilidge in your ears grow as you do? Or is my baby going to have weird rubbery ears forever?

ratfly · 16/09/2007 22:31

Pimms - I sure hope you do! That would be perfect - maybe I'll become sprightly and energetic again some day ;)
Lol at chain sucking on the swings - S sucked the side of the swing too when we took him!

Wilkie · 16/09/2007 22:32

Rubbery Ears?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

theUrbanDryad · 16/09/2007 22:54

roffle @ DJ's rubbery ears!

well we just got back from a gruelling drive on the M25/M1. stupid Luton roadworks. bah.

LTH - was fabbo to see you and yours too, and agree that G and Z together are, in fact, the cutest babies ever! you can upload photos if i can Zac decided to scream all the way home, bless him, as i predicted, as soon as we got onto the A27 he let rip. grr. and as we were driving back to Northampton dh said, "My hair's really tangly, I don't know why," and i said, "Durr, cause we were standing on a beach in really windy weather?"

(btw everyone - tis not just LTH's kids who are cute, her dog is super cute too, and her house is really very tidy)

Lizzzombie · 17/09/2007 07:58

seriously...is my baby the only one with rubbery ears?
OMG!

I may have to start another thread about this....

LadyTophamHatt · 17/09/2007 08:22

lizz, ds3 has a funny ear that does this magical wingnut thing.
we/he can fold the cartilage so that his ear sticks right out, the folded cartilage holds it there...sticking out.

its kind of a party trick now.

it used to be both that did it but only one does now.

UD, tell dh my hair is constantly like that!!!
the hazards of beach living

Lizzzombie · 17/09/2007 08:55

he he! LTH - take a photo! I want to see!
I will experiment with LOs ears later on today and see if I can develop a party trick from them. But...its just taken him 40 mins to get to sleep, so I'll leave it for a bit.
Bl**dy teething. Grr.

VinoRouge · 17/09/2007 12:17

A very tired and worn out Vino says hello to all......

Friday night with old friend = lots and lots of wine.
Saturday morning = 6am wake up from Ellen. Cue playing in the lounge together and thumbing through Argos catalogue - so many toys I want!!
Saturday afternoon = wedding in the sunshine. Generous amounts of Pimms followed by liberal amounts of red wine = Vino dancing madly all night.
Sunday morning = Vino awake at 6.30am whilst DH and LO sleep soundly.

4 hour drive home. All Vino's tired. Drop LO off with parents til Tuesday so Vino and DH home to chinese and bed. Tried a new chinese (actually the nearest one to our house!) and it was YUMMY.

E&H and Wilkie sounds like your hols were great.

Had chat with boss this morning and all is well.

Bought a Britax eclipse SI from mothercare on fri.

katwith3kittens · 17/09/2007 12:32

Ears are so wierd arent they ?

DS1 has this cryptoteia

Dont think we'll ever do anything to it, DS1 just thinks its his party trick !

I'm interested in these ear-party-tricks!
Looked at the link, kat, and after a while ALL ears look weird! lol

pinkcf - yuk! I hate dog poo in the garden. wish they could be trained to use little dog loos! Mind you, mine are both male, so no doubt they would still miss

S was up at 5.15 this morning- thought we had got past all this... I thought he might be feeling ill from his cold, so I got him into bed with me, and he started singing and cooing. Little monkey! He better not do it tomorrow night, I need all the sleep I can get before I teach the SEN kids....

IsItPimmsOClock · 17/09/2007 16:28

I found out the other day (from dd's Carol Vorderman Science for 3 - 5 year olds!) that only 50% of the population have ear lobes. Am finding myself checking out the ears of everyone I meet - its about 60/40 (more with lobes) at the moment.

geoRGEEweasley · 17/09/2007 18:10

50% of the population have ear lobes!!!! What a fantastic random fact . Although having said that don't think I know anyone without ear lobes. Or have I just not been looking??

BTW Carrot, the 30s are much more fun than the 20s.
Is carrot the next Jan thread birthday? We don't know when everyone's bdays are do we. Eah may be time for you to start a new list

eandh · 17/09/2007 19:39
