Twinkle-when you are friends with Ceebee, view her friends then you will see me as my Profile pic is HumphreysCorner at the mo. Don't know your RL name or initials so don't want to send a complete stranger a friend invite.

Twinkle - I have accepted your friend request so you should be able to see all my friends - all apart from 2 (with the initials AY and LR) are July 2006er's so you can make them all your friends too

Morning girls!!!

Last night we had a result!!!
No crying, no cuddling, Kayley went off to sleep in her cot!! HORRAAAAAAAAAY!
She fidgeted for about half an hour and downed a bottle of milk, all the while I was humming Raindrops and Roses, and suddenly, just as I thought she was about to stand up again, she wriggled over onto her front, and I held my breath for about an hour until I was sure. Then I ran into the living room, whooped and poured myself a glass of wine!!

She somehow ended up in our bed again though. Cos I was conked, I don't wake up when she cried, so DH just goes and gets her... that'll be the next hurdle now.

Let's see if it continues tonight...
Before I jinx it.

Must go. will post agian soon

Wallace · 09/11/2007 14:13

Thank you for all the sympathy, I wonder if I will ever quite recover form the fright Actually, do you remember ages ago my ds1 fell off his bike and knocked himself out? This was at the same place... maybe I should just steer clear of there for a while!

kbaby - a money box, god idea!

ceebee - lovely photos!

HC - hello I am on FB. Well I registered and never use it. If I get going I wilkl try to find tyuo all!

twink - shall we tell them our secret? Aidan sounds fantastic, bet he was tired after all that walking!

Annie - Hooray!!!!!!!!!!

Early mornings continuing here. Had a bit of a lie in htis morning - he didn't wake up til 5am! Still hasn't napped yet today...

ceebee74 · 09/11/2007 14:26

Wallace - you or Twink are going to have to tell us now - come on spill the beans!!

Wallace · 09/11/2007 14:32

Twink is going to find out that I am really a hairy-handed trucker

AnnieOneSeenMyPumpkin · 09/11/2007 14:42

Wallace, what a fright! I'm sure Leo will never remember though. Sympathies with the Very Early mornings too.

HC, I never knew you liked Facebook???!!!

Twinkle I'm on there too. Ceebee's/HC's friend. I have two babies and a pint in front of me.
Why congratulation Soph28?? What do you know??? Is she pg??? Where is she anyways?
Aiden sounds fab! They understand so much, and pick things up so quickly now.

Ceebee, josh is gorgeous!!! Fantastic photo!

Kbaby, hope you are feeling better and haven't caught Spin's bug...
KZ hope you're better.

First, LOL at 'mummy wine'! One of Kayley's first words was 'beer' in relation to wine or beer. She learnt that from Joey...
Joey has lots of Little People, the train set, the ABC zoo, the rollercoaster one, the plane and the bus (his favourite). Kayley also likes them, when he lets her. They have a farm at playgroup and Joey is very possesive of it, no other toddler can get near it. Emma's probaly too young yet (as is K) but they have a website where you can play little games with them as well. Which Joey likes, he can learn his shapes from it.
Not that I sit at the computer with my children honest...

Hi BLoss! Well done with the job, it sounds fab...

Well girls, hope I've caught up with everyone, back to the mozzies...

TheGoddessBlossom · 09/11/2007 19:13

Wallace how utterly terrifying you poor thing, big hugs I am glad Leo is ok. xx BIG sympathies witht he early mornings too, my boys are rubbish at sleeping in and my body has now annoyingly adjusted to sleeping from 9.30pm to about 4.40am regardless of who is up, although it is rare that I am not down here with both boys by 6.30am.

CB - gorge pix of Joshie. I am going to do the same thing with my phone when I get the pix of the boys from nursery they are divine can't wait to show you.

Annie - congrats on getting Kayley off to sleep in her cot, that is faberoonie well done you!

H is a sore trial 80% of the time at the moment. 3s are so much worse than 2s IME. And then he is a perfect angel the next minute! Leaves me reeling.

Got angel MIL here tonight, she is up stairs reading H a story, then coming down here to do my nails. I love her. Fact.

DH going to look at a Jeep Grand Cherokee tomorrow morning, with all the bells and whistles, a complete unecessary extravagance that we will probably get and don't care sucks ya boo.

I am getting my self Sky Plus for Christmas, yay!

Started wrapping presents today and ran out of sellotape on present number three and had to abort mission!

Off to London tomorrow night to stay with friends, looking forward to it. 2 more weeks of "freedom".......

Have great weekends all.

Love Bloss

congrats bloss

ceebee - gorgeous photos

wallace- sympathy on the early mornings, you're going have to tell us your secret now

annie - hope kayley went down well again tonight. we're getting charlotte the little people zoo and plane for xmas, looks great stuff.

dh has been off on hols this week so we have had a very busy week, took charlotte to a farm and she got so excited seeing the cockerel saying 'oodle oodle oo' over and over we also went to st andrews for the day and visited the aquaraium, she loved the fish saying 'ooh' all the way round. i have also thought about going back to work pt around feb/mar so we visited a couple of nurseries as i would have no-one else for charlotte, first one we loved but have no places until the summer, did not like the other one very much but they will have a place in feb but we have decided i will wait until the summer, im think im doing the right thing

Twinklemegan · 09/11/2007 23:00

Well as I'm terrible at keeping secrets...
Wallace and I now live only 15 or so miles from each other so we're having our own exclusive meet up. Shame most of you lot are so far away south of the border...

agalch · 10/11/2007 08:17

Hey Wallace whereabouts are you again? I know you are Scottish obv but can't remember where you are.

You are prob too far away for me but just thought i'd ask

kbaby · 10/11/2007 10:22

Just a quickie as were having new flooring laid and therefore the pc needs to be put away. DH is dismantling the room around me at the moment.

I caught DS dipping his bath sponge in the toilet this morning and sucking it ergh.. mental note to self that if hes quiet do not assume all is well.

Also I found out that MIL is putting 2 sugars in tea for DD and 1 in DS tea. I couldn?t believe this, does she not want them to have any teeth left, anyway I was talking to my mother about this and what to say to MIL. In the end I didn?t need to say anything as I get home from work yesterday and MIL say?s ?why are you going to kill me? and I said what do you mean, she said ? DD told me today that you are going to kill me for putting sugar in their teas? I was so embarrased and wanted the ground to swallow me up. Hardly the nicest way for her to find out that weve been talking about her.

Sleep still isn?t going well but for some reason DS will eventually settle down for DH but not for me so it means unfortunately DH has to get up in the night to see to him

Ceebee- the photos still look good though even if he does look serious.

Bloss- Sky plus in fab although DH wouldn?t agree as its too easy for me to record tat as he calls all my programmes.

Right really must go as DH is losing his temper at me being on here while he has ?things to do?

MaeWest · 10/11/2007 13:55

Hey Twinkle - back online at last . Hiya sounds v cute, we have been trying to encourage Dom to say it as it is part of his Scouse heritage, but he's having none of it. .

Bought the boy his first pair of proper shoes as he's keen to walk outside. My baby is growing up . Also got his christmas present, one of those tricycle things with the handle on the back. He was test driving it at John Lewis this morning

AnnieOneSeenMyPumpkin · 10/11/2007 20:55

Evening all

Another successful evening, as was last night, no cuddling or crying, just glugging her milk and off to sleep.
The only trouble was that she woke about 40 times last night, so I ended up taking her into bed with us as usual. I did try for about half an hour to get her back in the cot but as soon as she knew where she was, she went hysterical. I could hear DH muttering from the other room, not very encouraging really...

Mae, well done to Dom on his new walking shoes!

Kbaby, hope your sleep is improving. It's so unfortunate that DH has to get up!! Mine gets up for Joey alright, but kayley's all mine... Hope that floor is done soon!

Twinkle, I'm your friend on Facebook now!
How nice for you and Wallace to be neighbours. Do you think you would have met without MN?

Beadmum, Charlotte sounds adorable! Oodle oodle oo!!! Good luck with the pt work, if you go.
We all love Little People in this house!

Bloss, Sky+ is fab. Means you can watch whatever you want whenever you want! (I'm not in advertising by the way...) We have about a million Peppa Pigs and Roary Racing Cars recorded.

Right, best go. DH has gone out for a bottle of wine, he'll be back soon and I have Scrabulous to play first!!

Night!!

annie - well done on getting kayley down last night, im sure you'll get past the wakeful nights soon, maybe a word in dh's ear required though, you need all of his support surely

mae - im sure dom will be very pleased running around in his new shoes

kbaby - re mil story. have to remember that myself once charlottes talking - no moaning about granny in front of her

twinkle - nice to hear from you again, hope you are enjoying scotland

bloss - dont have sky+ but have bt vision that has the record/pause, etc features as well and its fab

we are going to il's tomorrow as bil and new gf are up visiting, new gf is also old gf so no introductions required she hasnt seen charlotte since she was 4 weeks old (when they split up) so she'll def see a difference

enjoy the rest of the weekend ladies xx

castille · 11/11/2007 16:31

Hello girls, remember me?! Have been about but I just cannot keep up with your exploits so sort of gave up! But I thought I'd pop in and say hello anyway

Quick update - Thomas finally decided to walk just over a month ago now there's no stopping him! He says Daddy and Mummy and lots of other sounds but instead of sticking to French or English, he's decided to invent his own language which, when accompanied by much gesturing (that's the Frenchman in him) and exaggerated intonation, generally serves to get his meaning across to me, his sole interpreter. I am now officially tri-lingual! He's a totally scrummy gorgeous little man who sleeps loads - 12 hours at night, and still 2 long daytime naps. I still don't get much done though, I'm a lazy mare

I see there is a new baby on the way - big congrats Lysette, hope it all goes well! Can't imagine doing it all again, but then I have got 3 already. Other than that I feel utterly out of it... hope you don't mind me elbowing back in.

Big hellos to everyone!

MaeWest · 11/11/2007 18:18

I remember you castille (were you prev FrenchLeave tho?) and am v of your sleeping baby. Tell him to have a word with mine and Annie's will you?

Had lovely day, met up with friends with small children at local arboretum. Dom was in his element making the most of his new shoes. He got filthy! . Must search out some wellies methinks.

Just a quick post as I'm on boob duty shortly (early night for a tired baby, then fish & chips for his equally knackered parents)

ImpyChica · 11/11/2007 18:37

Hi all

Just a quickie - have been 'poot-less for a while after Ry decided to chuck our MacBook on the floor and it is now kaput - grrr! DP borrowed a laptop from work so am now able to get on to my beloved Internet!

Also went back to the UK for a few days, which was fab. Ry travelled really well but slept horrendously - he doesn´t seem to like being in the same room as us and only slept well when we managed to put the travel cot in SIL's office.

Anyway, well done on the job front Bloss, cripes on the hair clip incident HC, Hi Castille - been wondering where you were!, and hi everyone else. Special Ozzie wave at KZ/Mooncup (talking of which - I bought one in the UK and am on second day of using it! I was grossed out at the concept intially - but it's fine! Think I'm a convert...!)

Hugs to all. latest Ryan pix btw Impy x

HumphreysCorner · 11/11/2007 19:48

Hello ladies

Well, went out last night and ended up going with BIL & SIL and it was to a James Toseland World Superbike Champion evening and he was playing with his band to entertain us. Anyway, all was going well until 10pm when there was a power cut so at 10-30pm everyone gave up and left. Typical, the only time I brave a night out it is cut short! Took the chance of a photo shoot though James Toseland with me and SIL

Castille-lovely to hear from you.

Spin-I agree that it is a hell of a change for Roshi and being a madam like Em she doth protest somewhat. Am sure things will settle.

Hi Impy

kbaby-lol at your MIL tale. I have told MIL many, many times not to give Em tea but she ignores me. I have said some terrible things about her infront of Em so much so that she has told me off for saying that about Grandma Have to be so careful.

Anyway, better catch up with Facebook as have been out all day. Must feed and pet my Zoo animals unlike some others I could mention.

HC

FirstAtForty · 11/11/2007 23:28

Hi Girls

HC - fab pic of you! I?ve got the same top! You look much thinner in it than me though

Impy - gorge gorge pics of Ry, and he?s looking so grown up I like the one too out of the car window, very arty. Bummer about the computer, I?m sure something similar is going to happen to mine soon, it?s pretty vulnerable there on the coffee table?

Ceebee - Josh looks really angelic and huggable in those pics, make sure you order lots of copies! Emma had some taken at nursery but they weren?t great - I didn?t know the photographer was coming and she was dressed in a fairly minging outfit, and she had obviously scowled suspiciously at the photographer all the way through the shoot (as is her wont)

Hi Castille glad all?s well with you. Thomas sounds very entertaining! at the long naps too!!

Spin - hi, hope things are better today with Roshi, hopefully just a hangover from the bug? She?ll probably start troughing with a vengeance soon, don?t worry. Could maybe try calcium fortified rice milk, it?s nice and bland if she?s feeling delicate?

Annie - sounds like K?s sleeping?s working in bits and pieces, hope it all comes together soon xxx Little People it is for us at Christmas I think (I may be slightly too excited about this?)

Kbaby - agree with you about the tea, I?d be annoyed too.

Beadmum - yes you must feel happy about the nursery, good luck with sorting everything out. Vacancies seem to come and go quite unpredictably though due to changes in parents? circumstances, you may find that a place comes up earlier at the one that you like (if you want it), will they put you on a waiting list?

Bloss - enjoy your last two ?work free? weeks Sky Plus looks great, I?ve only just gone into the digital age with a Humax PVR, it?s wonderful, I luuuurve it.

Mae - hope the sleeping?s improved. It is sad in a way seeing them walking about looking so grown up isn?t it (till they fall on their bums )

Wallace - glad Leo was okay, what a fright - reassuring though that someone brought him back so quickly safe and sound.

Twinkle - hiya, glad you?re back in cyber land. Sympathies re crap ISP?s, I was offline for about 7 weeks last summer, bloody Orange

Emma?s still doing lots of wobbly drunkard?s walking, very cute. Still loving her shoes, she has rediscovered a pair of pink jelly sandals she was given in the summer (which are still too big) and insists on carrying them around everywhere with her. Also obsessed with her toothbrush, she stole it from the bathroom this morning and was walking around desperately squeezing trying to get toothpaste out of the tube and onto the brush. Fave tv programmes, Night Garden and Strictly Come Dancing, she copies the dancers and twirls around the living room flashing her gnashers, god she?s a showoff!

Despite not being at work it?s still pretty busy how did that happen? Well better get off to bed, have good nights all xxx

AnnieOneSeenMyPumpkin · 12/11/2007 13:33

HI girls!

Just a quickie (I always seem to say that...) as I have loads to do before I head off on Holiday!!! Yes, off to Dublin tomorrow to see my bro and his twins and then from there off to Tenerife for a week, where the in-laws are preparing everything for our arrival! They're there already for a week, and just keep sending texts saying 'Joey will like this' or something like that. Honestly, have they nothing better to do... probably not.

Anyway, two successful nights Friday and Saturday, got K to sleep in her cot, then last night was just a puke-fest, so I was more or less holding her all night... still, she seems better today, so it must have been something she ate. I'm sure the holiday will disrupt everything again anyway, so it'll be start over when I get back.

First, hi!! Emma sounds so cute!!

HC, I won't be able to feed my animals while I'm away!! Oh dear, they might die, or run away like they did last time...
I will also miss my Scrabulous and Smartermind... And poor old Peggy, you couldn't look in on her once or twice could you?????

Impy, gorgeous pics of Ry!!!

Mae, sleep any better?

Castille, nice to hear from you and Thomas

Bead, I'm sure DH and I will have some words over the next week, with his interfering
lovely parents next door. Think I'm going to have to drink a lot...

Spin, hope Roshi is better, and taking some food again. I'm sure she'll settle soon.

Hi to everyone else, and try not to miss me too much!!!

See you end of next week!!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/11/2007 20:19

have a great time Annie! Jealous.

HC you look teeny tiny. He looks a bit of all right, phwoarr! Where are your hands lady!!??
