Aw thanks, he is a menace really
Aidan is so sweet btw everybody. He is really chatty and very engaging. He tries to chat to everybody, while Leo was more interested in running away and climbing as high as he could! Twinkle was lovely too, and we will definitely be meeting up again

Twinklemegan · 18/11/2007 20:13

Hi PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub - no probs about the hijack but you're in the wrong year! Ours are all around 16 months!

Twinklemegan · 18/11/2007 20:19

Aww thanks Wallace . Wallace is lovely too everybody and Leo is really cute. Hopefully next time Aidan won't be so tired, Wallace - and he was sooo tearful the rest of the day, I think his teeth were really bothering him as well.

Agalch - I don't think we ever answered your question - how rude! We're in Highland - where are you?

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 18/11/2007 20:27

Lol numpty alert xx

Beadmum · 18/11/2007 20:32

Oh spin-love, love the RAV 4. Test drove one but it was a couple of thousand more than the Vitara so that's why we bought Troy. Poor Roshi-it is Em suffering from sore red bits as she will not wipe herself when she goes for a wee. Can't keep my eye on her when she is at school so Sudocrem to the rescue. So nice to hear what you are up to.

Hi to everyone else. Feel so big and bloated and my trousers feel tight. Dreading weigh in tonight.

prettymum · 19/11/2007 11:52

hey everyone!!!

just a quick one.

we're all good here, same stories, juniors climbing everything possible, brings the little bucket near the sink and starts splashing water, climbs the little chairs i bought for him and dd and climbs on the couches and table.

His hair is so ong, im tying it up now as his mini afro gets too tangled and cant cut it off until he starts talking (dps tradition)

Just been meeting up with friends and catching up and driving further from my normal comfort zone and getting the hang of driving.

dps back home from shops so going to cook some curry, hope everyone has a lovely week xx

jacobandlysetteandabump · 19/11/2007 15:56

well just done making macaroni and cheese for the little man for his tea! he's only just had lunch about 30 mins ago as just conked out in his buggy for a huge nap

jacob has a bottle for milk at night and apart from that he has a beaker with a spout when we are out. and is desperate for normal glass whenever he can! he's currently sitting in his chair "drinking" out of the empty yoghurt pot

not much else to report - MIL is sensibly keeping her mouth shut at the moment, and Dh seems to be following suit quite nicely thank you very much!

hope your weigh in goes ok HC? and hope Ems bits are ok too. poor thing

Spin she may just have gone off milk totally? if she's having other dairy etc then she may not need it?
can't think of anything else interesting or important!

Twinklemegan · 19/11/2007 23:28

Spin - poor Roshi, that sounds really nasty . No Aidan just doesn't drink milk, full stop. He has it on his cereal and he eats loads of cheese and yoghurt, but he's not keen on drinking it. We stopped formula/bottles when he was a year old and losing interest in them (and as you know I couldn't wait to get him off the bl**dy stuff!) I have tried to give him normal milk in his beaker and he may take a few sips on occasion, but he just prefers water. I'm afraid I haven't perservered (sp?) hugely because spilled milk is harder to clean up . He seems healthy enough though so I wouldn't worry about Roshi. I seem to remember you telling me not to worry about Aidan a few months back

Wallace · 20/11/2007 05:28

Poor Aidan, he was exhausted. Could be his teeth - his cheeks certainly went bright red!

algach - sorry missed that question And been looking though and I think you asked if I am still bf? Yes I am, and a long way from stopping I think. Leo doesn't bite me anymore You are near Glasgow, I think?
We should have a scotland meetup. Beadmum could come too!

KZ -poor roshi, that sounds so sore. I think I am still a bit moe cautious since Leo's escapology incident - doesn't seem to hav affected him at all!

prettymum - Leo is like that - never stops! Turn your back for a minute and he is on the window ledge

lysette - glad MIL is behaving herself

4.15 this morning Nothing makes him sleep later. We are going to move him out of our bedroom into his brother's room to see if tyhat makes a difference.

agalch · 20/11/2007 07:12

Morning girls

Wallace and Twinkle i am in West Lothian, sorta between Edinburgh and Glasgow. I am going to the Edinburgh meet up. You two should come and stay in Edinburgh overnight Seriously we should try at some point to all meet up,i wouldn't mind a bit of travelling.

I am still a long way off stopping Wallace, think she'll decide as they do lol.

Hey Spin nice to read your posts again xx

Pretty i have been tying Eilidh's hair up for months as it gets covered in milk/dinner and its a bugger to get it untangles.

HC are you due AF? I put on 3lbs last week cos i had AF.I always do then take it off the next week. I could hardly get into my jeansIt's horrible being weighed in when you feel like that eh?

NEWSFLASH I went shopping for something to wear with my friend and was planning to buy sparkly trews/jeans and a top. It's what i would normally wear and it's "safe" iykwim. But i bought 2 dresses in a size 10 This time last year i was a 16 or 18. I can't believe i have gone down to a 10. feels great!!! So need to decide which one to wear to the Edinburgh meet up now lol.

Right must get the girls up and organised for nursery and Peep and my bloodylovely boys out the door for school.

Have a good day all xx

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/11/2007 13:13

cor isn't it quiet?

Lovely pix of the boys Twink looks like you and Wallace had fun, how nice to be abe to meet up!

My biys had their first of four (!) inductions at the nursery this morning. And it went better than I ever thought it would! Toby was a bit clingy untl the drawing pencils and crayons came out and then couldn't beleive his luck when he saw he was actually allowed to clour in with them, H never lets him near that at home, plus he's always eating them so I just take them off him, mean cruel mummy. I do remember that from H being there before actually, they do so much creative stuff that you jsut don't even attempt at home. So, so far so good...fingers crossed.

Been keeping busy, had a mixed weekend, shit day on Saturday good day on Sunday. Have come on today which surprised me as donually get periods on the injection I use but it does explain mood swings of recent days....

Sky plus is fantastic. How did I ever live without it?

der, thought it was quiet because I was still reading the last page. Can't getused to this change of format....

OP posts:
jacobandlysetteandabump · 20/11/2007 16:21

i had to take my format back to the traditional one - old fashioned me

not much to report here - jacob has decided that he doesn't want to eat anything cheesy - so i'm having yet more macaroni and cheese tonight....

also is off pretty much anything mummy makes him and on mashed plum baby stuff (which just seems pureed to me but is the next stage up), organix corn sticks, krisprolls, and yoghurt. o'h and he might deign to eat some toast but only if it's some that mummy is eating - usually with bovril or marmite or some such other ridiculously high in salt spread

o'h and back on lots and lots and lots of milk. saying that he has a sniffy nose and has been quite crochety last couple of days so hopefully it's a passing cold or some teeth cutting through.

I'd love to have a count of how many posts we all put with "i reckon / i hope it's teeth coming through"!!!

agalch well done that's great!!!

bloss - agree about sky+ can't live without it although mysteriously a lot of my series link programmes seem to disappear when DH has been near it. he too calls everything i watch utter crap

HumphreysCorner · 20/11/2007 19:00

Hi all

Have done yet another mammoth all day Christmas shop and bought a pair of jeans (size 10 ) and a top to wear for Christmas Sunday Lunch with Santa-oh, and a few Chrissie pressies. My Visa card is overloaded. Went to the cash machine in the Bsnk (don't normally go in there as I turn into a gibbering wreck) but said hi to the only 2 members of staff I recognised but did feel a tad envious of them strutting around in their work suits. I must curb my spending or I will be going back sooner rather than later. If only the targets and selling weren't so bad. Was in the Body Shop today and one lady at the till turned to the other and said 'I've worked out your targets for today but don't worry if you don't meet them'. Targets, targets everywhere-you really can't avoid them it seems.

agalch-well done on the size 10. I was the same this time last year and refused to buy anything. Size 16 jeans last November and size 10 today. Also picked up a size 38D bra that I was wearing last Christmas and it looks so different to the 34AA I supposedly am can't fit my norks in a 34A but the 34B was a tad spacious. Think AF may be imminent as I had a migraine last week. AF is as and when on the pill I'm on.

Saw a lady BF in M&S today-so If I have another baby I am determined to keep going longer and not let the supply dry up like it did this time.

Bloss-pleased nursery is going so well. I loved Emma going as they did such messy things which I don't allow at home. I am a terrible mother not letting her glue and glitter, infact I only want her to play with something that doesn't require much cleaning up.

Am so enjoying this glass of Blossom Hill. Em is at MIL's and Sophie is in bed as she was shattered with all this shopping. Regarding the MN format I think I have the new one but have my page so that it reads latest message at the top and everything is on one page. Have ommitted lots of threads too. Need another glass of vino so will say byee for now.

Evening ladies

God I am so of you, HC and Agalch, with your size 10 figures - but a HUGE well done for losing all that weight. I have only myself to blame for not being slim but that still doesn't help me diet . (Although, due to being a 'big bird', I would never be a size 10, even if I lost 3 stone - a size 12-14 would be the best I can hope for otherwise I would look far too skinny.

Having said that, we have just been out for a meal - Josh sat quite happily through a 3-course meal which is a first - it has always been a struggle to get him to sit in a high chair for that long. But we both felt quite sad as he had a banana, custard and cream pudding (double ) and sat there quite happily feeding himself - both me and DH felt a bit redundant now as he can feed himself very well.

But on the flipside, I went swimming this morning and did 70 (yes 70!) lengths in 45 minutes - am so chuffed with myself as it is only the second time I have been swimming since I was pg - and I have never, ever swum more than 40 lengths (usually with breaks after each 10) before - and I was just able to carry on going and going today. I have never really been into swimming that much, always preferred aerobics/gym, but I really enjoyed it - which is a good thing as at least I know I can do some exercise if and when I get pg again.

Anyway, enough wittering about me - hope everyone else is ok. Twinkle, it is great to have you back as a 'regular' so to speak!

Bloss/HC - agree about the creative aspect of nursery - last week, nursery put paint in to the sprays you use in the garden and let the children spray them - I would never think of doing that, and even if I did, I wouldn't let Josh do it in the house . Although I bought Josh some of these last week and they are great to take out and about and there is absolutely no mess!

Right must go and put Josh to bed and then I think I won't be far behind him as I am stuffed after my meal and 2 glasses of wine .

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/11/2007 20:47

Evening all.

Well done all of those who have lost weight, just in time for chrimble goodies!

HC don't talk to me about targets, am dreading that bit about going back to work, especially as mine are approx £1.2 million annually on a three day week!

Watching Property Ladder. Are these people quite quite mad???

Think DH might have got a bit carried away with my new found cookery skills, he has just presented me with the cake he wants me to bake him for his birthday!! A three layer coffee and pecan cake! FGS!!

H was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE today after being at nursery. ATROCIOUSLY behaved at my parents, and refused to share ANYTHING with the little boy we had here for a play date this afternoon. Embarassing.

Oh well, going swimming tomorrow, but I can tell you right now CB I will not be swimming 70 lengths, jesus!

Night all.

not much to report here except well done HC on the size 10!!! i'm with ceebee i'm a big bird too so am sure size 10 would make me look too skinny

terrible nights sleep, jacob came in with us most of the night, but the only good thing was he shuffled over dh's side so i had loads of room (over half the bed!) and he had none...

all the photos have turned up to go in our overseas christmas cards so i can send them all out this week! so pleased it's one job done, I can get on and start wrapping soon.

anyway, off for a nap as the childminder is here and i'm going for a facial at 4.

MaeWest · 21/11/2007 20:12

HC you skinny minx . No way I'll ever be a size 10 (did manage to squeeze into a pair of size 12 trews recently tho...)

Had quite a lovely day today, felt like a pretty good mum. Got out and about early to toddler group, Dom really enjoyed himself. He was rushing round the room, so cute to see him sitting on his little chair at snack time. He's starting to do the actions at during singing as well. He even ate my beatiful home cooked pasta and with veggie sauce whilst saying 'num yum'. He had nearly 2 hr nap after lunch and then played with some home-made playdoh - mostly poking it with a chopstick and giggling to himself.

DH is away for work so did whole bedtime routine by myself, which makes a change and was so relieved when DS went down without a murmur. He does the going to sleep perfectly, it's just the staying asleep bit that we struggle with.

Anyroad, going to get myself a glass of plonk, MN till my eyes glaze and then watch Heroes.

Wallace · 21/11/2007 21:27

agalch - well done at size 10! When is the edinburgh meet-up, and is it with or without kids? My sister has just moved to Edinburgh and would prob put me up for the night.

Bloss - I keep on doing that with the new format too, and find mysellf repeating what everyone else has already said...

lysette - hope bump is coming along nicely? How many weeks are you now?

HC - size 10 too! wow!

ceebee - those aquadraw minimats look great - Leo would love them. He does love to scribble, but mostly eats the crayons. So different to my dd who at this age would draw tiny spirals and circles with such intense concentration that her hand would shake

Maewest - dom sounds a cutie. We had toddler group today as well which Leo loves. I did notice when I was in the kitchen that Leo is by far the loudest I must try Leo on playdough, but I think he might eat it...

A miracle occured this morning - Leo didn't wake up until 6.45 He did wake up as usual at 4ish, but after a feeed he went back to sleep

MaeWest · 21/11/2007 22:02

Weeell, Dom did eat a leetle playdoh. He neatly cut a little chunk off with a plastic knife and down it went . Must try and get my bum in gear to upload some photos as he is looking particularly lovely at the moment

prettymum · 21/11/2007 22:53

evening ladies

i really dont know what to do with junior!! he is literally climbing everything!! he has started climbng onto our shoe stand which has a fan near it and he starts playing about with it and then uses the stand to climb onto our bed. he will do this at any given opportunity.

today i came back to the living room to find him on top of our computer table sitting ontop of the laptop. he used his little chair to climb onto the couch and then climbed onto table. and when we tell him no he shouts back in his own language! i think the discipling will have to start early with this young boy!

maewest- wouldnt trust junior with play dough aswell, it will all end up in his mmouth. ive had to put away dds crayons as i find pieces in his mouth, and he's always chewing on dds pencils too!

ceebee- 70 lengths!! wow! id probably have to take 10 minute breaks after each length! well done!

gonna go and browse through few sites and then probably end up falling asleep on the couch goodight xx

agalch · 22/11/2007 07:09

Morning all

Wallace it's on the 15th of December at the Living Room. There's about 17 of us going atm so should be good.Go on,you should try and get down!! You too Twinkle!!

Well Eilidh has bloody chicken pox, that'll be why she was a pest all last week. Got loads and loads of spots and is very miserable

Dd1 is doing well at nursery thankfully. Have a parent and teacher consultation on Tuesday so looking forward to that.

Got hosp appt next Tuesday for an ultrasound as my AF has been coming every 13/15 days and TMI but it's a bloodbath so they want to ultrasound for stuff?? But Dh has just announced that he's working so will have to cancel. Got dd1 to pick up from nursery and 2 other mindees so i'm stuffed.

Better go run a bicarb of soda bath for poor Eilidh before the school and nursery run.

Have a good day all xx

Wallace and Twink let me know if you can make it down xx

jacobandlysetteandabump · 22/11/2007 08:53

agalch you poor thing

bump is coming along nicely thanks! look properly pg now rather than just like i have eaten too many pies! bp still too high so have to have it retested today and the consultants are sticking to a 30 week or so delivery - feb post natal here i come for dc2! would really like to get to march though.

MIL does NOT sound at all happy / interested / excited at the thought of coming over for the birth of this one, which i am still rather peeved at. The ymade such a fuss over jacob and now they've got a grandchild it kind of seems as if the next one really isn't important. anyway, enough of my wingeing aobut MIL you must all be sick of it by now
