kbaby-Sophie is only 21 lb and have just bought her a lovely two piece red skirt and top combo from Next in 6-9 months. Emma at 4 yrs and 3 months is 2 st 9lb so me too and destined to have tiddlers. Hope your hangover improves. The good time you had must far outweigh the after effects eh?

Am off to the Drs tomorrow as my ulcerated throat is horrendous along with nausea and backache. Can hardly eat anything so am wasting away. Feel dreadful TBH. DH has taken Em to MIL and then MIL is going to get a few bits from Tescos for me so don't know if she is bringing them round later. Want to watch the X-Factor repeat as watch the dancing on a Sat night.

agalch- doesn't sound too promising about Christmas and as Dec 25th is my ultimate fave day I would have to ensure things were going to be near perfect. Change of plan in order methinks.

That's all for now, off to check out Pirates on Facebook-arr me hearties!

Hugs to all.

jacobandTheMummylysette · 28/10/2007 19:35

hey mooncup!!!! hope it's not too too unbearable! and great that R is loving swimming!

kbaby - if i develop pre eclampsia they'll hve to deliver and apparently if you've had it severely in your first pregnancy it's likely to happen again but earlier...

CB it'll be 22nd feb at 28 weeks (i think) so 3 days after our wedding anniversary!

parents visiting today - they make me laugh - does anyone elses parent scome to visit and then basically treat it as if they are somewhere they've never been before? mine seem incapable of even putting the kettle on when they come to our place now.

and the really big news is that jacob is now taking around 20 steps in one go, over and over and over again! it's the beginning of the end

anyway off to order some more mat clothes on dh's insistence! he can be a pita sometimes but a darling all the rest of the time!!!

xxx

jacobandTheMummylysette · 28/10/2007 20:20

odd - jacob is 23.5lb but is in 12-18 month stuff, and some stuff is 2 yr old! maybe he's long?????

Wallace · 30/10/2007 05:44

mooncup (!) - lovely to hear from you You sound amazingly calm and fresh at Roshi's tsntrums!

ceebee - lol at cocolate biscuits. Leo pulled a heavy tin opener on top of his head They seem to grow everyday! Hope josh is feeling better.

bloss - lol at TV watching training I think father christmas will be bringing Leo a teletubies DVD - that is the programme that seems to hold his interest for longest

maewest - how is dom's ear? LOL at cake fiend. Leo is a chocoholic already [clush] as sooon as he hears a rustle of a packet he knows what mummy is trying to hide...

agalch - Has Eilidh recently got her top teeth? When Leo's top ones had come through, and grew (he has big teeth) I had really sore nipples. I think it takes a while to adjust the latch. Either tjhat or he was haing a good chew!

kbaby - I know just what you mean about spending hours cooking a lovely meal, and the kids don't eat it. So frustrating!

hc - hope you are feeling better

Lysette - Hiphip horray for josh walking

Leo is 14 kg (30 odd pounds) and still only in 12-18 months mostly maybe he is short

He still hasn't adjusted to the clocks going back. 4.30 again this morning [sob][sob]

jacobandTheMummylysette · 30/10/2007 10:10

walace we medised'd jacob for saturday and sunday night and it seems to have done the trick!

jacob too has big teeth - did leo's give hi trouble coming through? we seem to have lots of trouble

where are the rest of you??????

MaeWhooooohest · 30/10/2007 10:20

Morning

Dom's ear is fine (I think, no gunge, GP will check on Friday). He is loving the amoxycillin tho, slurps it off the spoon with every sign of enjoyment. . We were also up at 4.30 Wallace, but thankfully he went back to sleep in our bed after a quick feed and woke up smiling at me this morning, bless. And then tried to twist my nose off of course...

Mooncup - mammoth journey, Roshi certainly sounds like she, er, knows her own mind. Hope you're all settled in soon.

jacobandTheMummylysette · 30/10/2007 10:31

mae is it banana flavoured? jacob loved it when he had it for his hernia when the scar got infected. unfortunately it wasn't strong enough and he had this horrid orange flavoured stuff afterwards. we had to insert the syringe i nthe side of his mouth while he was drinking formula to get him to take it!!!

been pumping the buggy tyres up this morning and jacob now sitting there brandishing the pump like you see bad guys in films doing with AK47s

also we ahve to go to peter jones and hope and pray they have our dining china in as i miscounted the set by 2 last night - we have 10 for dinner on saturday and only 9 sets of crockery and cutlery!!! DH none too pleased as he already thinks it too muc hwork for me...

ceebeegeebies · 30/10/2007 10:45

Wallace/Mae ? about the 4.30 wakings ? I really feel for both of you. I felt bad enough with a 6 o?clock waking on Sunday morning so I have no idea how bad a 4.30 waking is. Managed to get it to 6.30 today so moving in the right direction at least!

Agalch ? agree that the Chinese really doesn?t sound that good and everything needs to be perfect on Christmas Day doesn?t it? So, if you could afford it I would go for the Indian. Am trying to persuade DH that it would be nice to go out for lunch on Christmas Day as I have never done it and really fancy it ? but he is not budging!

Kbaby ? agree with the mealtimes ? Josh can be so fussy sometimes and it is so frustrating when you have spent ages cooking for him. I always let him have his tea whilst roaming around as he definitely eats more that way but breakfast and lunch are at the table which he seems ok about. Also have discovered that he won?t let us feed him with his cutlery but he is more than happy to eat from mummy and daddy?s spoons/forks etc

HC ? what did the doc say? Hope you improve soon

Fullmoon ? hi!! How fantastic to here from you ? glad everything is going reasonably smoothly. Can?t really blame R for not wanting to be cooped up in a hotel room can you?

Josh is about 22 or 23 lbs (haven?t had him weighed since he turned 1 but did a rough weigh-in yesterday by weighing me and then weighing us both ) and is still comfortably in 9-12 months clothes. But although he doesn?t appear to have put weight on in the last few months, he is not skinny by any stretch of the imagination! Guess weight gain does slow down.

Have finally decided to take him to the doctors this afternoon as he has been sick now for the last 10 nights ? have been putting it off as he seems perfectly healthy apart from the few seconds when he is puking. He is eating ok, has tons of energy etc so didn?t really want to waste the doctors time ? but am starting to wonder why the hell he is puking at roughly the same time every night

Anyway, hi to everyone else and hope you all have a good day xx

MaeWhooooohest · 30/10/2007 13:14

Hah, went to bed at 9pm last night, so got a good 7 hrs or so before my early alarm . DH is away tonight, so can do the same tonight if I want.

J&L - yep, banana flavour - I remember it well from my annual bouts of tonsilitis (I seem to remember it was disgusting!)

DS hasn't been weighed since his 9 month check (was 24lb) but I stood him on the bathroom scales (not that scientifically accurate, but he) and he seems to be about 2stone. Which I think is 28lb? Seems about right anyway. Clothes wise he is mostly in 18-24mths, but I do like to give him room for growth

jacobandTheMummylysette · 30/10/2007 13:22

CB is josh snotty? if so he might be swallowing a whole load of it during the day and then when it comes to the evening puking it all up? that's certainly what jacob did anyways. or the other thing with us was that he got secondary reflux from having chest and other sniffy types of infections. a week of infant gaviscon worked wonders

AnnieOneSeenMyPumpkin · 30/10/2007 13:37

Hi Girls,

Just a quickie again, as I seem to have work to do for a change. I hates dat.

Up and down with the sleeping still. Over the weekend, she went to sleep for me in the cot twice, and yet last night I had to pick her up again at the end. She seems to be sleeping more comfortably now though, she has got a pillow in her cot.

This morning she was singing along to the Bing Bong Song on Peppa Pig! All Ooooohs and saying the words in time! Hilarious, then 'AGAIN!' at the end. Thank god for Sky+!

CB hope the doc can help this afternoon.
Mae, hope you didn't wake too early!
Wallace, 4.30!!! Even Bloss can't beat that one! Around 6-6.30 for us.

Lysette well done to Jacob walking!!! A girl here at work has just told me she is due in April too, so I'll watch her bump grow and think of you! She has a nearly 3 year old DD too.

Mooncup (??still can't call you that!!) Great to hear from you and Roshi's antics It has been strange without you!

HC, how did the docs go? Are you ok?
Can't work out this pirate lark on Facebook though...

Must go girls...

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 30/10/2007 16:20

Afternoon all

Slowly improving-the Dr said it is a viral throat infection that is why I am left with horrid ulcer like things on the back of my throat that gets scraped everytime anything touches them.

Ceebee-hope something gets sorted for Josh (bless)

Lysettes-you sure you are not overdoing it? Great news about Jacob walking.

Maewest-hope Dom is better too.

Weighed Sophie myself and she has gone down to 20 lb and that was with her fleece on. Is she the only one not walking then?????

Annie-soz you are having to work too much. Getting a tad fed up with Pirates. Was OK at first but tis a tad monotonous (sp) now. Will try and get to level 5000+ like some on the leader board. I do apologise (not ) for all the bombs I thow.

Better go-have just done my winter pots while Sophie had a sleep and now she is awake.

Love to all

ceebeegeebies · 30/10/2007 18:49

Well the doctor diagnosed 'wheezy bronchitis' (whatever that is) and possibly asthma but he couldn't say so he has given us an inhaler for Josh to use at night. Just tried it and Josh didn't like it one bit so might have to wait until he is asleep.

Lysette - yes Josh is quite snotty and we thought it might be the snot getting on his stomach but for 10 days in a row???

Will see how he gets on tonight - fingers crossed!

HC - glad you are on the mend

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 30/10/2007 19:56

Lordy-there is a July 2008 thread!

aw poorly Josh, how horrid to watch him go through that every night CB, hugs.

Interview went really well! Was quite surprised actually at how smoothly it did seem to go, I actually enjoyed myself! But then I did prepare and prepare and prepare and that deffo paid off. I hope to hear soon about whether they are going to offer it to me or not. Would have to go to Barcelona the month, on DH's birthday in fact, so that will go down well. Not. Scared already at leaving my boys.....

Hi to everyone.

Well done Bloss! Meant to wish you luck earlier but forgot... WELL DONE!
CB hope Josh is better soon, poor babe.
HC you too. Have a hot toddy with lemon.
Lysette, you Nigella you!

Lots of screaming tonight. 'Will we go to bed now Kayley?' WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
An hour or so later, she's asleep, in her cot, for most of it, but had to pick her up in the end (when Joey came to bed) and she was asleep in seconds.

DH is cooking dinner now (my frozen curry sauce) and after that I'm banned from the computer as we have to talk to each other instead of me MNing and FBing all evening.
Fair enough really.

Nite all

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 30/10/2007 20:42

Talk to your DH Annie? how d'ya do that then?

Bloss-fabbo girl. Let us know as soon as you have accepted the position.

Meant to say-SIL has bought another horse and she said I will be able to have a ride on him. Cor, it is ages since I have ridden. Only put my riding gear in the roof last month.

No idea, HC. He is now half watching some crap and reading paper, and I'm back on here. Whoops!

Can we see you in your riding gear please!

agalch · 31/10/2007 07:16

Morning girls

HC Eilidh can cruise round furniture and has just stsrted taking a few steps if not too far from where she wants to go,but will be a while before she walks properly.

Wallace, are you still bfing? I find the teeth really hard sometimes tho i really love bfing so wouldn't want to give up just yet

Bloss, well done you!! Hope you get the job. What is it you do exactly?

Eilidh loves the telly Dances with dd1 to the Wiggles and Dora etc lol.

Think we are gonna go for the Indian. If xmas day was awful i would be gutted. I love Christmas so the food has to be good. If we are too late for the Indian then i would rather stay at home and so the work myself.

To whoever said they wanted to go our for Christmas,go for it!! Or get your DH to do all the cooking and you sit and relax. He may change his mind about going out if you say that.

Better go get girls dressed,1st mindee here and have to pick up my other at 8.20. God what a pain. Dd1 has a Halloween party at nursery so shes going as a witch. Slack mummy bought the entire thing. I suspect the mums there will be of the make it yourself brigade

Anyhoo have a good day all xxx

Beadmum · 31/10/2007 12:42

well my dinner went down well on saturday night and my friend announced to us that shes 12 weeks pregnant. so happy for her but a little worried as her dh didnt seem over the moon, wasnt planned so guess hes still in shock but theyve known for 6 weeks, hope his attitude changes soon

bloss - fingers crossed for you, good luck

kbaby - charlotte is 24 pounds too and has just gone into 12-18 months clothes, still fits into a few 9-12 months. Do you still feed ds? ive been giving dd food she can feed herself since she was 11 months, i normally make mini burgers/meatballs/chicken things/ then freeze them, doesnt feel so much of an effort then and just defrost daily. have to admit she eats better when i dont watch her though

lysette - congrats to jacob on walking still seems like too much work for me having 10 for dinner, even if you arent cooking, you take it easy now

mae - how is dom now? i remember i used to love that banana one

hc - glad you getting better, july 08 -

cb - poor josh, hope the inhaler helps

agalch - cant see id ever be making outfits for dd when she has partys to go to, theyll all be shop bought indian sounds like the right choice for xmas day

right better go get lunch sorted as charlotte refused to sleep earlier so will be very tired soon
