Morning all

Bloss-am totally in awe of you going for an interview. Good on you girl! I agree with the others in the fact that you are not desperate for this job but it would be nice if you got it. I have never had a panel, only 2 Managers and they sat either side of me so got neck ache trying to talk equally to them. With your previous experience you will be fine! Good Luck !

Had a bad night with Em as she was so tired and ended up wetting the bed. Am going to have to use the drier today to dry all the bedding and duvet as it is persistently raining. We are all quite tired this morning.

Ceebee-am impressed with your gym visit. Have such a phobia about exercise

Got so many little bits to do and can't seem to start any of them-need a kick up the bum

sugar-can't believe your moving time is so close. Feel quite sad about it really even though you will still be on here and I haven't really 'met' you.

Am rambling now so will try and do one thing on my mental list.

Hugs to all

HC

bloss best of luck! you'll be absolutely fine though

Bit of a dilemma - it's my birthday on halloween and we will probably be going out - do I leave trick or treating stuff for the babysitter as we have lots of children in the area that are bound to be out and about???

After the one good night's sleep we are back on two wakings..... half past bloody midnight and then half past 4! but he had barely any supper so it was to be expected. Wish he'd get some more teeth through - he's so up and down with his eating and we still only have 4 teeth.

going to attempt my christmas cake today - wish me luck!

xxx

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 09/10/2007 11:46

Lysette-I would leave something with the babysitter on Halloween just to be on the safe side. Thought I was being organised as writing down ingredients to get for my Christmas Cake and puds was one of the things on my mental list but obviously not as organised as you

Hi Girls,

S'been a busy week.

My Bestest Friend was over for the weekend, so we chilled, a lot, and drank, a lot, and ate, a lot.
I had my check up at Rheumatology on Friday and all is well. Thank God for Magic Drugs!

Kayley is still a fidget arse every night, so I sleep (I use that word loosely) hanging out of the bed while she tugs my hair.

Joey didn't cry going to nursery this morning!!

Kayley weights 20.5 lbs. I on the other hand have put on a stone in the last 6 months (I blame the drugs...) so time to stop eating (and drinking, feck)

DH's birthday on Saturday was nice, we had a BBQ but ran out of gas...

So now my liver needs a bit of a break.

Lysette, sympathies for you and the waking. I know, girl, I know...
How's that wee beanie doing?

HC hope you had a great day yesterday!

KZ don't leave us. but yaay for exciting new life in the sun

Best of luck Bloss!! You knock em for six. KZ is right (as always!), they need you, rather than you needing them.

Mae, good luck with your choice. If you do go back on the pill, it has to be the mini pill if you are still bf, as the hormones in the combined can get through to Dom, which isn't good. As for the weight thing, we're all different like that, so maybe, maybe not.
Anwyay, lucky ole you, getting some action!!!

Best go girls, hi to everyone else,
Pav, Bella is beautiful!

Must go.

jacobandTheMummylysette · 09/10/2007 14:54

great name annie! beanie is still doing well i think - of course i am going through the paranoid i'm sure there is something wrong stage... we have our 12 week scan on monday, and they do the nuchal scan as a matter of course at our hospital so at least we will know (hopefully) that in one sense everything is healthy then.

HCC i am aiming to snaffle bloss's crown off her - bought all my christmas cake ingredients today, although i was going to attempt to make it on 1 october as is tradition in our family, but jacob is super super clingy at the moment, and can't be left for one moment - getting some laundry done is a minor miracle! saying that he is currently playing with a load of clean, but wet washing inthe washing basket

still no more teeth but lots of big lumps! my MIL is right (how i hate to admit it) he has the big teeth from their side of the family - the lumps are massive - horizontally as well!

and christmas presents are well under way too...we bought this gorgeous old fashioned advent calendar wooden thing last year (but didn't use it) - it has a door for each day and behind each one you put a little gift - fab idea but now i have to find 24 things to go in it!!! plus all the gifts and with PIL actually over here it means we can't get away with the usual one gift each as the post to NZ is so heavy and we'll buy them things when we go over next ...

anyway, enough of my rambling

TheGoddessBlossom · 09/10/2007 14:56

gee thanks girls. Feel better.

Hi Girls
Just a quickie!

HC - happy birthday for yesterday, hope you were suitably watered with Blossom Hill!

Bloss - good luck for tomorrow, sounds like you?re doing the right thing seeing what?s out there

Annie - sounds like a good weekend ! I too need to go on one of those diet / low alcohol things, but will I??

Spin - Good luck with packing! Emma was okay on the flights to and from Scotland - had to sit on our knees but it was bearable. She had a bit of a whinge both ways, but lots of raisins and distraction (reading the in-flight mag, safety cards etc) helped, and she actually fell asleep on my knee on the way home which I was very about as she NEVER falls asleep on me. It was very uncomfortable though! Throughout the trip she survived on formula, Hipp jars, bananas, raisins, rice cakes and other Organix snacks, plus bits and pieces nicked off our plates (and some crisps in pubs ).

Gotta dash too, hi to everybody, will catch up again soon xxx

ceebeegeebies · 09/10/2007 17:22

Bloss - have sent them to you. Good luck x

ceebeegeebies · 09/10/2007 17:23

Oh and forgot to say that, as the others have said, it is as much about whether you like them and want to work for them as it is for them to decide whether they like you. Keep that in mind and you should be more relaxed about the whole thing

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 09/10/2007 18:35

Being as though I never had a drink yesterday I am having one now-cheers!

Hello everyone, I'm back - remember me? We're still not on broadband so I'm not back "properly" yet, but thought I'd check in and say a big hello, and Happy Belated Birthday to HC for Monday!

Needless to say, I haven't caught up on everyone's news yet. Big news here is that as of last week Aidan is walking!

More anon. xx

ceebeegeebies · 09/10/2007 20:55

Hey Twinkle - funny cos I was wondering this weekend how you were getting on. Lovely to hear from you and big big congrats to Aidan.

Fill us in on all your news asap x

HCC - hope your glass of wine is a big one to celebrate your birthday.

kbaby · 09/10/2007 21:20

HC, Sorry I missed your Birthday, Happy Belated birthday.

DS has been up the last 2 nights, nothing wrong with him just insomnia.

You lot are just too organised. I wont hear of any more christmas presents or cakes, please join me in being oblivious about xmas until December. Your scaring me!

Sorry too tired to talk any more. Catch up in the morning.

KZ, all girls love pink, no????
Well done to Roshi. We too do the hand-me-down thing. Poor Kayley rarely gets anything new...

BLOSS???? How'd you get on?

Yesterday, Kayley said what sounded like 'elephant' as she pointed to an elephant in Joey's Rumble in the Jungle book. As clear as a foggy day...

kbaby, I echo your Xmas sentiments. A whole nearly three months to go yet! Get some sleep kbaby!

Twinkle, well done to Aiden!!

First you know me, I'll be eating and drinking as usual on my 'diet'!!
Have just got to accept I'm a size 12 now...

Lysette good luck with the scan, I'm sure everything will be just fine!!
Must go girls, lotsa mozzies to screen.

Hey dudes

Hope u got on ok bloss. Someone rang me up about a job this morning - but it's kind of hard to discuss a new job when you're at work, n'est pas?! Rang her back later and left a message... so finger's crossed it'll get somewhere. Sooooo bored in my current job.

{{{Hugs}}}} Algach - really feel for you. You are a wonderful daughter and your mum is a complete muppet for not making you feel as such.

I was going to say "enough with the xmas talk already!!" and then I realised that a) I've started buying pressies and b) booked the rural house in Segovia about a month ago where we and both sets of parents are going to spent crimble.... so I can't really talk.... but I still think it's too early!

Great news about Aidan, Twinkle!

KZ - Queen Roshi could never look like a boy - you berk! She's way too pretty with her long eyelashes and flowing locks! I'm with you on pukey pink. Any female offspring off mine is going straight into Ry's hand-me-downs!

Good luck with the scan Lysette - sure it'll be fine.

Glad your magic drugs are working Annie. And what's wrong with a size 12??! I've been that for years.

Good luck with the pill quandary, Mae! I haven't been on it for years - made me a bit mental and lost my mojo - so didn't really see the point! I'm tempted to try the temperature method - I did it for over a year to get pregnant - so thinking of using it the other way around iyswim.

Well Ry Pie is poorly again. bloody cough. again. Is it a c-section thing? I've read that c-section babies are more prone to coughs as the mucus wasn't pushed out their lungs by natural delivery..... It kills me to hear him hacking away. Oh well. Aside from that all well. Hugs to you. Impy xxx

ceebeegeebies · 10/10/2007 18:52

Bloss - where are you?? Come and spill the beans!

Impy - I had never heard that about c-section babies but it makes sense - and Josh (born by c-section) is very prone to coughs - has pretty much had a constant cough (sometimes much worse than others) since February - so maybe there is something in it eh?

Spin - am a little about the pink shoes - if I have a DD, they are going to be dressed constantly in pink as I LURVE it - I even hunt in shops for (masculine) pink boys clothes

Am I allowed to feel a little smug about this? A friend has just told me she is pg (about 10 weeks) - she already has a 2.5 yr old DD. She sailed through her first pg with no symptoms at all but is really suffering with sickness this time round. Anyway, when I was about 10 weeks pg, I went round to visit and was talking to her and her DH about how rough I was feeling - and her DH sat there and said 'oh well, M didn't have morning sickness because she kept herself active' very smugly - as if that had anything to do with it. So , although I am so sympathetic to my friend, knowing how awful it is, I do feel a bit like saying to her DH - 'see it is nothing to do with staying active is it you stupid man??'

TheGoddessBlossom · 10/10/2007 19:18

welllllll...........it went great! Had a few sticky moments on a couple of questions, but overall went really well! They want me back for a second interview where I will have to do a presentation (ARGH!) and feedback was they were very impressed! MUPPETS!!!

Great money. God I'm so nervous about going back to work though, some of you might remember how I yearned to quit when pregnant with Tob,y what if I just get back to that a month into it?

Oh well, thanks for all your suppor, it was cracking to get into a suit again, jazz myself up and take a risk. Think that should tell me something, yes?

Had friends round for playdate this afternoon, brought me back to earth with a bump I can tell you...

xx

Love to all
