Sorry screwed up the link!
Here is Bella Kitten.

Glad to hear our little ones progressing so well!

Oh, and for one of our wedding gifts, a friend adopted an Elephant for us! They symbolise significant change and positivity, and DH is obsessed by them, what a cool present eh?

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 05/10/2007 21:52

er, the link would help! [slaps forehead]!

beautiful Bella not the best photos but this was on our honeymoon so we were not really taking so many pictures (I say honeymoon, it was spent mainly with friends the day after and family for a few days after!) At least they took tons of pictures.

Some wedding ones coming, with bella looking amazing. But not for a few days.

Have a good night all, and peaceful sleep to all the babies, especially those whose molars are coming through xxx

HumphreysCorner · 05/10/2007 22:36

Pav-Bella is a real cutie and her hair is so blond. Can't wait to see those wedding pics.

Off to bed to watch Jonathan Ross and my throat is killing again so night all.

Goooood Morning all!!!

I am up early this morning as i am going to the SCMA (childminding thingy)conference today. Yay no dc all day and we get a nice lunch too. DH might struggle a bit today as the dd's are still not well. Eilidh has a chest infection and Niamh is just a bit snotty and miserable too. My mum offered to come and "help" him after taking my neice to the optician but i declined the offer. I said i had had to struggle to cope all week with them so why shouldn't he?
I know it's mean but i wanted to have a dig at her for not bloody offering to come and help me with them. I am not my darling brother(sarky)cos if i was she would be doing everything for him and his dp

My friend is doing a manicure course atm and needs ginaue(sp) pigs so of course i volunteered to let her practice on me.Twas great, she is coming to do a manicure and pedicure next Sunday for my hols on the Monday.

I am feeling really shit atm, family stuff rearing it's ugly head as usual.I can be ok for ages then it hits me that my db will ALWAYS be the favourite and so will his dc. My dc don't get the time or whatever that my db's dc do. DH tells me all the time that we are a family and how much he loves me etc and he is the best thing thats ever happened to me (except the dc of course)but i can't help but look at my db and just random other people and wish my mum felt the same about me and my lovely dc. For a long time i wondered how i could be a better dd so that she would love me the same but i know she never will and it is hard. I am dreading going on hols with them next week the way i am feeling. I am looking at hols for next year and we will be going alone thats for sure!!!

Anyway better go get ready.I am prob gonna wish i hadn't posted all this but i feel really sad atm,i need to grow up and get over it i guess.

Have a good day all xx

Pav great to see you and fabby pics.My Eilidh looks like such a baby compared to Bella cos she can't walk yet lol.

HumphreysCorner · 06/10/2007 08:59

Glad you did post it agalch-we are here to listen and give group hugs you know. Have a good day and try not to feel sad. You are an excellent daughter-tis a shame your mum can't see that. My mum treats me and my elder bro the same but deep down I know he is favourite. Grandparents always favoured him more than me but not enough to cause a rift luckily.

agalch i echo HC - we are all here for you. we have the same thing with dh and his brother although apparently MIL is totally the opposite with BIL and he feels that my dh is the favourite - all very strange family dynamics...

jacob is standing so much of the time now! also got some teeth shuffling around if not actually coming through. bright red cheeks and such a bad nappy rash in a matter of 2-3 hours yesterday afternoon that was so bad it was bleeding. he just cried all through his very short bath, and then wouldn't sit down afterwards. the only thing was that he was very still for once with his nappy change and ready for bed, and putting cream on as it was almost as if he knew it would help him. but he woke at 1230 and then 530, but came in with us at 530 and took about 45 mins to get back to sleep, but at least did.

dh has gone to the rugby - will be back slaughtered at about 3am.... we are off to have a bit of retail therapy!

Testing my Halloween name

MaeWhooooohest · 06/10/2007 17:45

Sorry you're feeling down algach - weird how family dynamics work (or don't work) sometimes isn't it?

DS also teething I think, can see lumps (molars?) in the gum and he's been a bit unsettled. Also had a huge bf when he got up from his nap this afternoon which is v unsual for him now. Still, gave me a chance to have a sit down .

Afraid my Halloween name isn't that inspire...

ceebeegeebies · 06/10/2007 18:37

I also think Josh is teething - bit grumpy, red bottom and his poos are VILE smelling.

My Halloween name isn't very inspiring either but best I can do

TheGoddessBlossom · 06/10/2007 20:10

Toby's VERY sore bum, vile smelling poos and grotty mood last week did result in tooth number 6 this week so keep at it ladeez....

TOP TIP - for nappy rash steer clear of wipes - use cotton pads/balls and baby lotion less hassle than water and smells great and is kinder on their bums....

Went ALL the way to a christening and birthday party for a niece on DH's side today - I knew it would be a total shag and it was. Toby SCREAMED the whole hour and a bit journey down there,we piled out of the car beside our selves with stress, everyone must of thought we were the most rubbish bad tempered parents in the world. Then the party venue was a teeny tiny nook in a pub, the most inappropriate place for small children you could ever concieve.

So I got drunk.

Got a ridiculously stressful interview for a ridiculously stressful (but part time) sales job on Wednesday. I must be mad.

Took DS swimming today and he screamed his head off. Hated the water, I finally managed to get him to sit on my lap in just 2 inches of water and then he got splashed and started screaming again. So a successful swimming attempt that lasted all of 5 mins.
Took him to the park after, but hes just intent on climbing up the slide the wrong way or trying to get the ball off anyone else playing with them. Quite a few tantrums as he couldn?t understand why he couldn?t stand on the football pitch and follow the boys with the ball. He?s also really funny with DD. He likes playing with her and chasing her etc but shes not allowed to hold his hand, push his swing, roundabout or him on the bike. He screeches so loud and just refuses. Don?t know what all that is about.

Bloss- Good luck for Wednesday because I am bound to forget to tell you on Tuesday

Dh has been shouting at the TV tonight I think France may have won the rugby as theres been lots of ?yeahs? sorry Lynsette hope your DH enjoyed Cardiff anyway, it?s a nice city with lots of friendly welsh folk.

Pavlov- she looks like an angel.

Agalch- huge sympathies for you at the moment. Easy for me to say but try not to let it get you down.
Sss- she does not look amused. Your move seems to have come around so quickly

Does anyone have any idea how I upload a video of DS to facebook to share with you all

TheGoddessBlossom · 07/10/2007 07:14

Pav - gorge photos she is lovely.

Algach - echo the others, try and let it go, accept the things you cannot change etc. They don't deserve you.

SSS - you are doing so well on the organisation front, not long now! Be weird to think of you on the other side of the world. you must be so excited.

T came in with us last night, first time ever. he thought it was great. Was quiet as a mouse but wriggled for 2 hours before I gave up and put him back in his cot, and he went off like a lamb.

KBaby - Toby climbs up the slide wrong way too, his fave thing, have to stand there removing him and apologising. Shame about the swimming, persevere?

Morning all

Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated.I don't normally let family stuff get to me like that. Was feeling pretty shit with the dd's being unwell and lack of sleep etc and everything got on top of me lol.

Think i'll have a think about having a read at that book SSS.Have thought about getting it a few times tbh.

Taking dd's to see the gp again. Think dd2 has hand foot and mouth. Don't know if dd1 gets it whether we will be allowed to fly or not on Monday. Fingers crossed eh?

I am going to a "MEET UP". Will be meeting up with mners in Edinburgh in December.I am soooo excited about it. One of the girls on the thread said she had met me at the group i go to on a Tuesday. She saw me on the thread and looked at my profile and recognised me She is really nice and we share a lot of the same weirdy views eg still bfing/co sleep etc lol.

Ds1 has another interview on Tuesday.McDonalds were awful. They made him work for an hour on his own(having no experience or training) serving customers etc and decided he wasn't good enough. Nice huh? This interview is for a big supermarket so hopefully he will get this one.

My conference was ok,lunch was lovely and had a giggle with my friend so was worth going.

Better go get organised for our appointments.Have a good day xx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!

HAVE A FAB DAY GIRL!!!!

Happy Birthday HC!
Lotsa Blossom Hill for you

jacobandlysette · 08/10/2007 18:07

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HCC!!!!!

kbaby it was awful. i knew they were going to lose when they conceded that try just before the end of the 10 mins sin binning (which soooooo wasn't a yellow card btw!). felt sick from then on. DH called me in tears at the end. And apparently some english guy i nfront of them had been taunting them for most of the second half and there was nearly a bit of a fracas...

at least as far as this house is concerned the RWC doesn't exist any more. just means we are trying to get rid of 2 eurostar tickets and a finals ticket, and the finals ticket has to go to someone we know well because they have to take DHs credit card with them as ID.... and most people we know are kiwis!

jacob is doing lots more standing and attempting to take a couple of steps but not quite there yet! we are all vvvvv excited though!

TheGoddessBlossom · 08/10/2007 19:31

Happy birthday HC!.

Bought some rescue remedy for my nerves re interview on Weds (it's in front of a PANEL FGS) and am not doing myself any favours by reading other people's horrendous experiences in Going Back To WorK forum (throwing up in car park pre interview etc) Why am I doing this exactly? Remind me someone....

Went swimming today, it was lovely. My friend is a swimming teacher and had me ploughing up and down, I am very tired now, it was great though.

Toby walking everywhere now. THe little tyke. He's going to be a menace that one...will post some more pix soon...

Happy Birthday HC

Swimming lesson today and the baby pool was COLD. I swear we came out blue! DS is definitely down to one nap now and was so tired eating his lunch after swimming that he was keeling over in the highchair. Then he dozed off in the buggy pretty much straight away and slept through the whole 40 min walk and then another hr parked in the hall when I got home. Result!

He is also walking more and more, will have to get some proper shoes soon I think. He has some cute soft leather ones to keep his toes warm. Another new trick is pointing and saying 'dat?' also brumming when he plays with his toy cars.

Having a dilemma about whether to go back on the pill. AF was 5 days late this month (normally regular as clockwork), gave us a bit of a scare and has made me think about it. Does it have impact on breastfeeding? And will I put that stone back on? And why do I feel like a gauche teenager when discussing contraception wiht my GP?

Bloss - do you want me to send you the list of interview questions that I sent Twinkle? Might give you some ideas to practice with? Let me know your e-mail address and I will send them to you.

Belated Happy Birthday HC - hope you had a good one and drunk lots and lots of Blossom Hill!!

This is just a quickie as DH is not going to work until 9.30 so I have time for a quick gym session before he goes - but I have to go very soon to make it worthwhile!
